Welcome to Good Times and Tan Lines, your perfect beach escape just steps from the sand! Located only five houses from the boardwalk leading to the scenic shores of Sheridan Beach, this spacious retreat (main house & guest house combo) offers room for everyone to relax, unwind, and make lifelong memories.

With two fully stocked kitchens, meal prep is a breeze—cook together or divide and conquer. After dinner, settle in for game night or a movie marathon. (Please note: the ladder to the cupola is off-limits.)
OUTDOOR SPACES
Gather around the fire pit for s’mores and stargazing, sip your morning coffee on the kitchen deck, or enjoy evening BBQs with the gas grill. The porch just off the main living room is ideal for people-watching, storytelling, or simply soaking up the lake breeze.

Situated in the heart of Beachwalk Resort, you're just a short walk from the beach and all the community amenities. Room for 7 vehicles: 2 in front, 3 along the side, and 2 in the driveway. All vehicles require a parking pass.

The Great Escape

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good Times and Tan lines was a large home with a garage home behind. This home was decorated nice and had plenty of amenities to make a nice stay for a large group. The porches were plenty with ample seating for sitting with the group, or go to another one and have Quiet Time with a nice book. Location is excellent for the short walk to the beach or the activity area in the complex. Kitchen is well outfitted and large table was good for a double seating for breakfast and dinners. Kids first then adults. ( we had a large group). Be aware the kitchen is on the second level we purchased a security gate for the staircase so the littels ☺️ could crawl safely on the kitchen level. Things I would suggest. Kits for the beach. Good beach wagon. Bring everything for a long stay at the beach (the big ocean) or the complex recreation area. the lake was “ the little ocean” and the kids were entertained longer than expected. Yoga instructor is good ( ask her if there’s ever been anybody doing yoga in jeans?) 😂 good time walking around the community looking at the clever names of the houses with bright colors enhancing the morning coffee wake up. Overall good time pleased with a long relaxing 7 day stay. All staff at the BWVR Were helpful and pleasant. Do not hesitate to contact them. Check out Washington park as live concerts are provided in the summer.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It’s our 6th or 7th trip to Beachwalk and our second stay at this house. First time with the new owners! They made some great updates! Location is great. Back road for new bike riders is safe and hardly used but walking the front road is super convent and charming! Close to beach, close to beach hut, and great parking! You can walk to the hut, grab a twist cone and by the time arrive home you are taking your last bites (and the outside shower helps clean up little fingers)I like this particular home because it’s main living space is upstairs and it feels like a tree house a little; it’s whimsical. You watch all the fun activity but it’s not disruptive at all! The entire community really goes quiet at 10 which is wonderful for families! I also like that this house doesn’t feel like it’s been “beaten up” by large families in and out weekly. It is clean and not “worn out”! Rents with the carriage house which was is great. Kitchen has everything you need. We brought bikes and the garage would have been nice but it’s a safe community and there is a nice covered area in back we parked them at. Even being picky there is nothing negative about this space and we will defiantly stay again! Wi-Fi was good! Big plus because some locations it is a struggle! Cards on the upstairs porch at night was fun with the oversized lights on, a night pic would be good because this is a fun house that stays whimsical as the sun goes down! Plus many others use outdoor space on the ground level so you are sort of in each other’s space but because this one has the decks upstairs you still have the fun of being in a vacation “scene” but you are a little removed! We loved that, and the deck downstairs would let you be right in the fun if you wanted. We are regulars and this is a great house!!Towels great! Sheets great! Kitchen items great! Top location for sure!

Nice Location But...

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We chose this home because of the great location close to the beach, the surrounding area, and size for our family of 14 which included adult children, spouses, and grandkids. This was our third trip to Beachwalk, and we love the amenities. However, the house this year was a disappointment. We threw away open cereal boxes, a used push-up pop, stale marshmallows, open bags of chips and lots more from the cabinets and pantry. The refrigerator was clean. We kicked off our shoes while putting things away and our feet were black from the floors. Then, after wiping the handrails with Clorox wipes that showed the amount of dirt, I called the management company. Steve, head of housekeeping, and a housekeeper came to clean the stairs and were coming back Tuesday to better do the floors. They didn’t come Tuesday so I called and was told they were coming Wednesday. I was also told they were coming Wednesday because Steve wanted to supervise. I stayed and Steve was not there on Wednesday, but the housekeeper did a thorough job on the floors. Further, there were buckets, a cooler in the yard and a trashcan on the upper deck with stagnant water. This house needs cleaning. The moldy shower curtain in the Jack and Jill bathroom and cobwebs by the upper stairs reflect this is not a recent cleaning issue. While there the property was listed for sale.

Location was outstanding because it is a short walk to the beach and to the pool. We brought our 7 adult children and 3 friends and there was plenty of sleeping space. Lake Michigan did not disappoint either. No salt, clear water, no sea weed, no smell. Who needs the ocean! This is a great place.

Perfect House & Fun Community

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group had the best weekend at Good Times and Tan Lines and could not have asked for a better setup. The community was packed with tons of fun activities and proximity to beach was perfect. We did experience several interruptions to our stay from Beachwalk and the owner wanting to make repairs to items in that house that were not broken. It felt like an invasion of privacy with the handyman stopping by at odd hours for jobs that were not requested nor broken. The backhouse ladder to the bedrooms was not safe, as it lacked an actual railing, making the plans for who would sleep in this area difficult and unexpected. I would not recommend this sleeping area for any children or older adults.Otherwise, the house was great, decently clean, included all the items needed for a nice weekend and easy to access. We all enjoyed our time there!
