Our family of 4 enjoyed our week at the lake. In mid July, the water was warm (and super clean!), the kids loved the amenities provided at the lake (kayaks, swim dock, inflatable tubes, easy access into a sandy bottom) and the weather was great. Quick driving access to different activities from Maine Wildlife Park, Hiking Rattlesnake Mountain (via Bri-Mar Trail), Mini-golf, Blueberry Picking, and of course Ice Cream. A little bit further (around an hour) to Storyland, Dig Maine Gems, and shopping in Freeport. The hosts live next door and were available, pleasant, and provided tips on the local community (Maine Wildlife Park). Onsite Washer/Dyer and A/C were a huge plus not found in all rentals.
Great house on Panther Pond. The house is very clean and well equipped inside and at the water front. The owners live next door and are really great people.
You canât go wrong with this rental. We hope to be back next year.
My family and I had a great time at this property. The owners live next door and were wonderful. The home is modern and the lake is beautiful. It is also close to restaurants and grocery stores. I would highly recommend staying here!
We had a fantastic time with our family of 4 in this home! The home itself is modern, has everything you need and plenty of space. It was very easy to check in, very clean and comfortable. We loved hanging out in the front room overlooking the lake and we spent most of our time swimming or taking the kayaks out. There is a nice sandy water area for younger kids or the dock and swim platform for the older kids to jump off of. Thank you!
Had a great week at Panther pond with the family (two young kids0. The shallow sandy beach was great for the kids to swim around in and kayaks were available for use anytime. Len, the host, is right next door and very responsive if anything was needed.
If you are looking for the ultimate lake getaway, this is it! Conveniently located just off 302, you are still only ten minutes from great shops, restaurants and lifeâs conveniences. From the moment you arrive, this property is a true home away from home. Our host went above and beyond for us after our incoming flights plans got delayed. The house, the house, the house! Clean, cozy and leaves you needing nothing. I found myself on the front porch that overlooks the lake from sunrise to past sunset. The entire property is so well kept and stocked. From kayaks and a paddle boat to all the kitchen essentials and even board games, we felt right at home with plenty to do.
Highly recommend this property for the perfect Maine vacation. It exceeded my expectations.
We had a great time on Panther Pond! Itâs a beautiful lake and the house is easily accessible to the docks. Our host was very helpful and accommodating. Len is a gentleman. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped with nice plates, glasses, utensils, pots and pans. We also had access to the washer and dryer which was very helpful.
The best was being able to use all the kayaks and canoes. We used them almost every day of our vacation. Panther Pond was a pleasant place to glide along on the kayaks or canoes or to sit on the dock with your morning coffee.
This house is lovely. The view is spectacular. The swimming area has a slow drop off and a nice sandy bottom. The hosts house is on the same property, and was available at all times. He was very generous in allowing us to use his kayaks, paddle boat and canoe. The kitchen was well equipped with superior cookware (usually we find thrift store quality cookware). Added bonus was a washer and dryer in the garage underneath the living area for those beach towels! There were 4 adults and one child in our group and we had plenty of room. The home is close to everything, but feels like itâs far from anything. Weâre already thinking about returning next summer!
Wow! I already am excited to book our stay here again next summer! My daughter and her best friend were in Maine, on Panther Pond attending pole vault camp. So I wanted a quiet place close by them for the week. I could not have stayed at a better home. First, the property is as shown in the photos and is very clean. Upon arrival the home owner greeted me with a smile and gave a tour of the waterfront, and the house. Making sure I knew where everything was and how it worked. I spent every morning (Iâm a 5 AM riser even on vacation) in the cozy whicker chair on the front porch, coffee in hand, blanket over lap watching the sky change color until the sun began to rise over Panther Pond. It took my breath away every morning. I was able to use the kayaks any time which was a fun experience as well along the pond. The home owner even brought my Mom and I out on their personal pontoon boat for a tour-along Panther Pond! We learned history about the homes and Pond itself. I also got to take a slow ride in front of where my daughter was staying at the camp in their boat! The home owners always let us know that they were there to help in anyway to make our stay everything we wanted it to be. I truly thank them both! The house was located in a quit and beautiful spot, yet close enough to many fun and busy areas. We spent days being lazy on the Pond yet also played in Naples, Portland, South Portland, Scarborough, Old Orchard, Wells and a few other places! We will see you next year!
The cottage is in pristine condition with gorgeous views of the lake. The hosts are wonderful people who were very accommodating. The property is beautiful and the kayaks available were a wonderful addition. We would definitely stay here again.
