It's better to wake at the lake! 3 bedroom with lovely lakefront view
A sign that greets you as you enter our lovely lake front home. Wake up and experience quiet mornings to watch the sun rise over Tripp Lake (or wake in time to watch the sunset, we don't judge!)
*** About the property***
We feel the house offers a classic, rustic atmosphere. What you'll walk into is a wood-paneled cabin-styled home with a common room, kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms. Each bedroom is prepared with clean linens and pillows prior to your arrival. We also can provide a canoe for you to use on Tripp Lake. Aside from the necessities, we offer some modern amenitiesâ mainly fast speed WiFi (500 mbps) if you need to do some side work. We can also install air conditioning for the common living area, however the common area is quite cool without it. This is our first time opening our homes to travelers! We're getting a feel of trying something new, and hope you can help us help you.
Need a change of scenery? We can offer some recommendations in the area or beyond. Explore the surrounding town of Poland, or go further into the neighboring towns or to the city of Portland!
Aside from that you'll have the ability to really make your New England summer into your own, and we'll be happy to be a part of that experience.
*** Please note *** > While we prefer renters who rent for seven (7) days minimum, we also are accommodating of those interested in staying for a minimum of three (3) days. Please shoot us a message and we'd be happy to chat. (For those that do stay with us longer than 7+ days, we do check in to remove any trash or replace any soiled linens). > Our home is non-smoking (we just restored it and hope to keep it in top shape for years to come). > We do have a water filtration system in place. However, we do advise renters to not directly drink and bring potable water. > To remedy this, we provide a "starter kit" of a few days of water and clean linens. Please ask if you need any additional items! > Our policy on pets is negotiable. Please do message us about your pet and we'll do our best to accommodate. > We also do have a renters' agreement and disclaimer that is required for all of our guests' staying that repeat details further about payment, cancellations and house rules. Deposit of $500 is due with the signing of this agreement. > We also ask for a refundable security deposit, which will be given back pending inspection of the property no egregious damage and excessive cleaning.
Everything about the process and the house was just as advertised and perfect for what we needed. The house sits on a beautiful quiet road right along the lake which was ideal for jogging with my kids every morning! The owners were very attentive and quick to respond with any questions and everything we needed was available at the house. I would definitely recommend booking this house for your next vacation!
It was a great stay at Tripp Lake. The house was very clean and the listing is accurate. The house and porch are great spots to view the sunset over the water. Communication was easy and responsive. If we end up back in the area this is the first place I would try to book again. Great spot for a family of 4 and a dog. Thanks again.
We had an amazing stay at this cute lake house. Rustic and quaint but had all the amenities you need. The host was amazing and anything we needed they took care of right away. Three bedrooms with plenty of sleeping space. Large living and dining room so we were never crowded. My favorite spot was the enclosed porch with table and chairs. We played lots of cards and games as a family and awesome view of the lake. The large deck outside was awesome. Large yard which our family enjoyed playing badminton. The only thing missing was a kayaks and stairs down off the dock to access the lake. We made due and borrowed a kayak from a friend. Plus really would of loved a fire pit, but I bet by next summer they will have one. We would def rent this place again.
Our stay was so nice! The cabin was very clean. We stayed in October which was pretty chilly, there is no central heat in the cabin but the space heaters worked really well and kept the cabin comfortable.
We're a small family that moved to Maine over 30 years ago. I've raised my family here by working my own hairdressing/barbering business. I and my family work in service of others, and enjoy trying to make someone's day with meticulous attention to detail. We're quite fortunate to have share our lake home with guests to experience some of what Maine offers. We enjoy the outdoors, whether high up on the mountains or fishing by the water and hope you come to love it as well.
In a couple of words: the quietness, laid-back and friendly neighborhood. It also doesn't hurt that there are many outdoors activities around in the area and surrounding towns. I personally enjoy fishing on the lake (on my off days, I venture down on the coast and towards Cape Cod).
