We had a wonderful time staying in this lovely cottage. Everything we needed was provided. The three bedrooms worked out perfect for Reminded me of my grandparents house in the country. Location is great for visiting local wineries.
The farmhouse was very nice and clean. A beautiful setting! We were glad the owners allowed us to bring our side by side to ride through the pasture to the river. We relaxed on the beach next to the river and fished. Since it was summertime we had brought several fans with us and needed them in the bedrooms since the AC unit is in the living room and upstairs room. We enjoyed being close to Mt. Airey and taking the shuttle tour of town.
The house and property are beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there! It was also nice to meet the owner and spend time talking to him to learn about the property and area.
Our family of 7 enjoyed everything about our stay at Bledsoe's River Inn. 100% perfect; clean, homey, comfortable, nicely equipped, relaxing, quiet.
Thank you, Timothy & Alison, appreciate what you do.
Our family was very comfortable in this home. The owners thought of everything! We loved the antiques and country feel. Would definitely recommend to others!
This house and property are so cozy! It was extremely cold during our stay so we enjoyed cozying up in front of the fireplace and relaxing. We took a walk down to the river which I can imagine is sooo much fun in the warm weather. We definitely plan to return!!
The cottage was very charming. We enjoyed the views of cows and babies in the pasture and was able to experience seeing a newly born calf. The walk through the pasture was beautiful in the morning and took you to a gorgeous spot on the Fisher River. Our boys, 14 and 12 enjoyed fishing and swimming.
The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
House was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed the walk to the river so much! Host was super quick to respond to questions. Would note that the upstairs bedroom ceiling is a bit low and wouldnt work for people over 6' tall. Only a consideration when traveling with 3 couples.
What a truly exceptional experience! The hosts were simply amazing - warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The amenities were fabulous, from the well-appointed accommodation to the peaceful and private setting that offered a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The highlight was definitely the opportunity to go kayaking on the serene nearby river, allowing us to connect with nature and relax. Additionally, having vineyards and wineries in close proximity was a delightful treat for wine enthusiasts like us. Exploring the local flavors made our trip even more enjoyable.
To top it all off, the snacks provided were a wonderful surprise and added an extra touch of thoughtfulness to our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind and create lasting memories. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a tranquil retreat with wonderful hosts and incredible amenities!
Our visit was short for a family reunion but we all wished it couldâve been longer! The house was adorable and just as pictured, check-in/check-out process was so simple.. we even were able to check-in a little early last minute! Very friendly host, would absolutely stay again :)
Our family of 7 had a great stay at the cottage. We explored out of doors- the woods, the cows, rock skipping at the river- and made the most of the cozy home- games, pancakes, birthday meal, fireside tv watching. Alison gave us great food recommendations. Groceries, town and restaurants are all close. We hope to be back!
Perfectly located for visiting local wineries in Yadkin Valley. Easy access to Dobson and Elkin. Charming house. Only downside is only one full bath, but 1/2 bath off kitchen is nice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! It was clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and peaceful. The owners were very welcoming, and made sure we had all we needed. We were looking for some time away as a family to relax and spend some quality time together, and thatâs exactly what we got! The surroundings are beautiful, from the cows, to the river, and the beautiful yard. We enjoyed sitting outside at night under the lights, and around the fire pit. All we were hoping for and more!
Our stay was very quiet and peaceful. The property comfortably accommodated us. We enjoyed the nights outside by the fire pit and cooking out on the grill. Check in was very easy and the owner met me at the property to give me a walk thru. Check out was easy and painless. Owner was available by phone during our whole stay and even texted to check in to see if we needed anything. The inside and outside of the property was very well maintained.
This house has definitely been a labor of love. This farm belonged to a lady by the name of Sadie Hutchens. We befriended Sadie when we moved close by and she chose us to carry on the legacy of her family (The Miller's) farm. This is the result of wanting to honor her wishes!!
