Come and enjoy our true up north lake house. The lake house is nestled in the woods with a private walking path to beautiful Lake Charlevoix. You can spend your morning enjoying natures gifts and afternoons sitting on the dock watching sail boats go by. Make memories around the campfire roasting marshmallows over the large fire pit, firewood provided. The cabin is just minutes from the downtime life of Boyne City and the Ironton Ferry is located a few miles down the road. This true up north retreat is a year around vacation. Take advantage of Michigan's fall beauty or enjoy your days cross country skiing. This home is located 10-15 minutes from Boyne Mountain.
The cottage is completely furnished including linens and towels for all five bedrooms and three and a half baths. The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and a double wall oven. Or if you'd prefer to cook outside, fire up the oversized gas grill on the attached front porch.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week on Lake Charlevoix! This cottage is very spacious, plenty of seating inside and out, well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, plus a basket of toiletries and other necessities in case you forget them from home.
This was a wonderful experience for me, my spouse and our 3 couple friends. The check-in process was very easy. The property manager reached out before we arrived to ensure we had everything we needed before we arrived. The property was very clean and the amenities were fantastic. Would highly recommend this property.
The only reason I'd give it 4 stars out of 5 is that there's a window in the shower of the master bathroom that does not have any shade or privacy protection. The window faces the woods so its unlikely anyone could see someone showering from far away, but the wraparound deck goes right by this window so we had to tell our friends they wouldnt be able to walk all around the deck if someone was in this main floor shower.
We stayed at this amazing property in July of 2024 with our extended family. We loved the layout of the house and the boardwalk to the beach/dock. The Lilly pad and paddleboard were nice perks to use. The sitting area/deck on the water with the solo stove was a nice touch too.
Inside we found plenty of space to spread out and relax. The internet was fast with many smart TVs available. The kitchen is a bit cramped but is fully stocked with everything needed to cook meals.
Overall a great stay
This is the second year in a row that we rented this cabin and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay again. The weather was not cooperative, so we spent more time inside the cabin and we had planned, but given how ring me it is, it was just fine. I appreciate if they got the swim pad because that was a lot of fun for the kids this year. Rented kayaks down in Boyne and so we had those for most of our stay which was fun. Highly recommend this cabin, it is a great location and very clear. As I said, in my other review, itâs not necessarily the fanciest of cabins but itâs really clean and has lots of room and great views and is on great property. The owner is really responsive and nice. As is the property manager.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with family and friends at this unique cottage. The layout allowed our group of 9 (4 adults & 5 kids) to spread out while still having a main common area to play games at night. Smores at the awesome fire pit were a hit. But the highlight is the private beach area and easy water access. We even snuck across the street for a round of 9 holes of golf a couple of times. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area!
