Welcome to Misty Mountain Hideaway, the cozy log cabin has floor to ceiling windows to look out over the valley at the Misty Mountains of the Colorado Rockies! This home is in a gated community that has much to offer for your mountain experience. You are central to many activities in Fairplay, Breckenridge, Buena Vista, Salida and the National Forest. Hiking, Fishing, Skiing, Family Outings, Hot Springs and the endless blue sky of the Rockies.

The home offers 2 comfortable bedrooms and a loft. The Great Room is open so you can be cooking, playing games at the dining table or lounging on the two comfortable couches. Right outside the sliding glass door is an expansive deck you will never want to leave. Here you can enjoy your morning coffee, grill that fabulous meal, relax in the outdoor sitting area or have your meal on the outdoor dining area.

From the moment you step in the door you feel the warmth and sense of welcome this cozy log cabin gives. The great room has a wall of windows that embraces you in the mountain sunshine and gives you the feeling of being surrounded by the wonders of the Rockies. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to make your scrumptious meals alongside the stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. There is a breakfast island with counter stools and space for 4 at the dining table. Who would not want spend their time eating and cooking with the gorgeous views from the dining area.

In the living area the large leather couches are waiting for you to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family. Stay connected with the flat screen television equipped with Dish television programming. In the loft you can bask in the skylight and relax on the Queen size futon. The perfect area for kids of all ages!

For your restful sleep in the master, a very comfortable Queen bed awaits. You will look out and be surrounded by the aspens and pines, giving the feel you are sleeping in the forest. You will be able to recover from your activities or just rest and unwind. In the second bedroom you have a modern touch with the Full size bed and cozy lighting. We can assure a great night sleep is waiting for you. The full bath has a tub and shower combination with a shelf to hold all of your toiletries.

The grand finale of the home is the large outdoor deck that is ready to entertain, relax and enjoy! You can bring your meals out to the umbrella covered table, sit and drink the morning coffee or the evening toddies. All the while taking in the meadow, trees and mountains. Misty Mountain Hideaway is a treasure for you to enjoy the Central Rockies.
Fairplay and Alma are the activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. It is a great area to call your "Base Camp". Activities include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain climbing, snow-shoeing, horseback riding (winter too), ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, ATVing, mine exploring, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more.

* This home is located in the Central Rockies at approx. 10,049 ft. elevation. Please be advised that elevation and weather should be considered when deciding if this location is appropriate.
* Guests are required to have a four-wheel drive vehicle with adequate snow tires or chains during the winter months from November through May. The area is subject to frequent unpredictable and adverse weather conditions which can make travel difficult.
* This home is located in a rural high alpine mountain environment where wildlife, insects and rodents may be encountered. The home is also equipped with a well water system and may have variability in taste, smell or mineral content based on time of year and usage.
* Guests will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement after booking.
