The cabin is a sweet space to unplug and reconnect with those you love. Originally built in 1790 this cabin was once the beloved home of James Rankin a revolutionary war veteran. Set up like a studio apartment, you have a kitchenette and open floor space concept. It’s located on 5 acre shared lot with creek access and fire pit. Here at the cabin you get the best of both worlds a COUNTRY-LIKE retreat but are also conveniently close to town. Just a 5 minute drive to the nearest grocery and shopping center and only 20 minute from downtown Nashville. Explore all the local music, shopping and festivals or come here to unplug and unwind. Very nice and unique old converted log cabin. Clean! Coukd use a few more mixing type larger bowls but it was very nice!

Perfect getaway!!

We were visiting family in Hendersonville. This cottage was perfect!! We were able to stay in a historic building and enjoy the charming atmosphere and we were only minutes away from the family. The cottage has an assortment of Hanes and plenty of fluffy towels and was just charming!!

So much potential.

With only a few fixes this would be a great little cabin. The door knob is very old and while it looks neat it is very hard to operate to get in the cabin as well as lock it while leaving. The cabin is very small which we knew but it had a table and chairs for 4 people with only one straight back chair in a corner to relax in. A small 2 chair bistro set and a larger comfy chair would make it more comfortable and a toaster would be nice. Also parking was in the grass and it was a very rainy time while we were there so very muddy. A couple gravel tracks to park on would be great. For the price we are not complaining just 20 min. from downtown and a unique place. We met the host as we were early for check-in and she was gracious and friendly.

Love the historical feel of the place.

I loved it there. I showed up before check-in because I didn't get a notification with info on how to get in the door, but she was there when I arrived and I'm sure Amanda has corrected the problem by now. I stayed in Feb and kept cozy warm with the wall and extra space heater, even the floor was brick. Other than that I loved the place.

Great place for fall and spring

It's a great historic cabin that has been well maintained. We appreciated the spices, coffee, sugar and all the little extras that you might forget while traveling. It was not quite as remote as we were expecting as there was another cabin right next door. There were also quite a few houses and it was off a pretty busy road. It was pretty chilly as there is not great insulation especially in the bathroom. It would helpful to have more blankets or throws to cuddle up in to keep warm and a space heater that does not keep turning off. It would also be great to have a curtain on the bathroom window to maintain privacy from anyone else that might be on the property. The cabin was close to the main shopping and eating area in Hendersonville.

The cabin was so cute and cozy! Everything we needed was there for coffee, toiletries, towels. There was nothing we needed that wasn't there! My husband and I were in town for a couple nights at Amanda's cozy cabin and really enjoyed our stay! The care and character poured into the original cabin created an absolutely romantic and relaxing atmosphere. I created this space, so that you could escape the hustle of life. It’s so easy to overfill our calendars and generally we load them down with great & exciting things. Kids sport events, work, birthdays, cookouts, etc. Here at The Cabin @ 934 we want you to come unplug and reconnect with the ones you bring. Enjoy some coffee and a good conversation. There is plenty to explore near by, but at the end of the day we have created a space for you to rest. Truly rest. Take in the creek at the back of the property. Bird watch. Experience the nature around. Read a book. Play a game. Sit in silence.
We have come to love how this home forces us to stop & slow down. To be present. To enjoy the simple & beautiful things in life.
