We enjoyed our stay, especially the area restaurants. The location is very cool and the home is historic with quite a bit of character. One of the queen bedrooms is very small and does not have a closet. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The hosts were extremely responsive, kind and helpful.
This house has a lot of space to spread out and is beautiful and very comfortable. You can easily walk to many restaurants, bars, and shops in just a few minutes and there was plenty of parking if you have a vehicle. The house is stocked with books, games, and all the essentials. and the hosts were very responsive.
We were four girlfriends coming to Louisville for a few days to celebrate one of us retiring.
The house was just very lovely, with period furniture, art and decor. More importantly, to me, the furniture and beds were very comfortable!
The kitchen is a delight. Filled with beautiful appliances, nice dishes, a large selection of bourbon and wine glasses and an over-the-top coffee station.
Parking was easy and we were close to a huge selection of unique restaurants.
Highly recommend staying here!
Our host - Eric was amazing. He communicated regularly with us throughout our stay to ensure everything was ok. We are a large family and this home was perfect for us, plenty of comfortable bedrooms, baths and other seating areas so no one felt on top of each other. Perfectly stocked kitchen, although we didn't eat in much because the neighborhood is surrounded by amazing restaurants and bars (highly recommend). Thanks for opening this home up to visitors, we will be back!
The houses was great. Communication with hosts was the best we have ever had!
Landscape could us a clean up, but the house was perfect and in a great location to walk to shopping and restaurants. We attended and event at the Kentucky Exposition Center which was less than a 10 minute drive.
This home was perfect for our large family of 8, plus an additional two adults. The two couple's had their own rooms, and the kids had their own space as well, with a bed for everyone. Accomodations were surface clean and tidy, and having the washer and dryer came in handy! The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful, and I felt safe enough to walk with the kids to some of the local eateries.
Communication with host was amazing, and when we had a slight issue with something he was right there to fix it. Overall I rate it 5 stars!
This house delivers a range of sleeping, gathering, and dining spaces, plus it is adjacent to a grocery, near parks and restaurants, with ample parking out front, and a kitchen stocked with enough place settings and cooking gear for a large family meal. Could not be better -- thanks BNB Louisville!!
A group of friends stayed for a bourbon and horse race weekend. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. The home is an older 3 story Kentucky charmer. It needs some love but great for our group.
So many reasons to stay here. FIrst, the location is prime. Just steps away from Bardstown Rd and the heart of restaurant row in the Highlands. Less than 10 minutes to so many other great Louisville areas - NULU, Downtown, Churchill Downs, St Matthews.
The house itself is a historic work of art. Vintage Victorian architecture with many of the original elements intact. The owners have curated the space with numerous antiques
Modern stylings. The home is updated with some essential 21st century comforts. Modern chef's kitchen, high speed wifi, smart TV's, Master bedroom including spa-like bathroom with soaker jacuzzi tub.
The Bedding - Uber plush mattresses and hotel quality linens. No expense was spared here.
Room for everyone! Big groups and large families will LOVE it here. Lots of beds and 3 full bathrooms to accommodate everyone.
