Classic Colorado Cabin on the Florida River - 20 Minutes to Downtown Durango

Enjoy end-of-the-road privacy in this quintessential Colorado river cabin located within a 20 minute drive from Durango. In the mountains and on the Florida river, this is a great location as "base camp" while enjoying all that the Durango area has to offer.

It’s all about the riverfront location!  Outside, the wraparound deck is a great place to enjoy morning coffee, relax in the rocking chairs or fish, and it’s a great place to view the starry night skies.  Fall foliage is spectacular with aspen and other seasonal trees surrounding the home, and winter snow creates a unique mountain getaway at this home.

The cabin layout includes the main level with kitchen, living room, dining room and the large deck at river's edge, with both a covered section containing rocking chairs and benches, and an open area with picnic table, BBQ grill chiminea fireplace and steps leading to the lawn and riverbank beyond.  The open living area and deck make a fine gathering place for friends and family.  There is an AC Unit in the upstairs bedroom.

The cabin is not pet friendly - please do not bring pets or emotional service animals.

Our home has shared private Florida river access and access to Treasure Island - a shared community recreation area that's perfect for family fishing outings, picnics, and nature adventures. With Vallecito Lake a 15 minute drive, and Lemon Lake 8 minute drive from our home guests have easy access to robust fishing, boating, and paddle boarding opportunities. This home has very limited cell service.

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.
