This welcoming condo in The Riggings community at Kure Beach offers gorgeous Atlantic Ocean views, community grilling area, and summer community pool! With a light and bright beachside style, the interior mimics the oceanside locale offering a modern living, dining, and kitchen area as well as a restful king bedroom and twin bunks in the hall!
Please Note: The Community Pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day
We were steps from the ocean. The place was very clean.
Remember to bring all toiletries. They provide nothing but hand soap. The bed was too hard for my husband to sleep on. He had to sleep on the couch. The bed linens were very rough. We did have a good stay, but will check another VRBO property on Kure Beach in the future.
Couple things to point out. First if guest are washing dishes thereâs room for error. Silverware in the drawer still had food stuck to it. Secondly if there are 4 pillows on the bed then 4 cases should be provided. We used the cases for the other beds which only makes more work for your cleaning crew. Lastly the cheap blankets on the bed are not sufficient. Again we took from the other beds. Luckily it was only the 2 of us.
The 3rd floor was quite noisy. The folks at the start of the week were leaving so we heard their suitcases rolling about around 5 am as the prepared to leave. Followed up by the CONSTANT running about of the younger child that followed. It literally never stopped. This made peaceful sleep unobtainable.
It was also my first time having to make our bed on any vacation. Didnât realize I was paying to clean and do chores.
Not that it is in anyoneâs control but the beach was almost unusable. During high tide you had very little space to enjoy the beach or the water. The waves were quite intense except for low tide which was mostly in the middle of the night. Clearly the extra large sandbags were not very visible in the pictures of the condo. Not once did we use our beach chairs that we drug with us from Missouri.
The WiFi code listed in the binder is typed in incorrectly. Having not noticed until the office was closed we were however able to figure it out with a few tryâs. RiggingsH22021 is what is listed but it is riggingsh22021. Lower case h.
Lastly. Our check in was easy and the staff was very friendly but upon returning our parking pass the bell rang when I walked in I could hear a conversation but no one ever came out of the back room so I just placed it on the counter.
Over all I would use Carolina beach reality again but I wouldnât stay in the Carolina/Kure beach area again. I would choose oak island for it free parking and itâs calmer beachâs.
The condo itself is nice. There was considerable noise from upstairs though and the beach access from the sides of the buildings as opposed to the old walkway by the pool is rather aggravating. Of course, the sand bags are a topic all on their own. Kure Beach seems to be letting the area deteriorate and Carolina Beach is rip off, but if you just want to hang out on the beach then this location will do. I do believe it's over-priced given what is offered.
