The property was comfortable and well furnished. While the interior was a little dated, the appliances were new and everything was functional and well maintained. We enjoyed easy access to Golden Gate Canyon SP and trails around Nederland. There are also breweries and restaurants within a short drive along CO Hwy 119. Note that the home is located adjacent to Hwy 119 and, while screened by foliage, road noise is clearly audible. This home would be an excellent choice for a family/group trip.

Marston Thank you for such a detailed review! I'm glad the house felt comfortable for your group and that everything was in good working order, since keeping it running smoothly is something I take pride in. A big gathering is exactly who it was set up for, so it's great to hear it fit the bill. You came during leaf-peeper season, which is one of the prettiest times of year up here, but it also means the road is definitely busier than usual. I'm glad you made the most of the area's trails, breweries, and restaurants. Please come back and stay with us again! All my best, Brigitte

Huge house with everything you would ever need. Enjoyed sitting on the wrap around deck in the morning with a cup of coffee and at night to watch the stars.

I reserved this house for our family of 8 adults and 2 small kids. It's hard to properly convey just how perfect this house was for us! Especially the kids. The owner has thought of every need that you might have, and is more than willing to address anything else you might need. The house is extremely clean and comfortable. There was more than enough room for all of us to get space if we needed it. One of the things that was mentioned most often is how quiet the part of the house with the bedrooms was, which was especially helpful with the little's bedtimes! As far as the location of the house, it was awesome! We were a little over an hour of Denver and about 45 minutes out of Golden. The drives are absolutley gorgeous! This was the first visit to this area for the majority of our family, but because in no small part of this house, we all plan on returning! We can't recommend this amazing location and home owner enough! We'd give it 10 stars if we could!

Thank you so much, Charles! It means the world to hear that the house worked so well for your whole family, especially the little ones — and that the quiet near the bedrooms helped with bedtimes! I really do try to think through every detail so guests have everything they need without having to ask. So glad the drive and the area lived up to it all too, and I'd love to welcome you all back anytime. Thank you for such kind words — a 10-star review means more than you know! All my best, Brigitte

Absolutely beautiful family vacation! Celebrated my parents 40 year anniversary and Brigitte hung a sign on the fireplace that said “cheers to 40 years”! Such a sweet personal touch! A sweet gift basket and had all the amenities we need to make some homemade meals and enjoy the home even more- this place has everything! Relaxing Mountain Getaway

What a wonderful cabin! Stayed with grown children and extended family. The cabin was immaculate and well appointed. The kitchen is well stocked and had every appliance and spice needed for all of our meals. We enjoyed the hot tub and were happy to have the washer to wash our suits before heading home. Perfect for a get together with friends in the Colorado wilderness

Absolutely loved our stay here. Location was perfect, felt remote enough for us, but still close to Nederland which had everything we needed for good dining, groceries and shopping. Also in great proximity to lots of fantastic day-hikes from easy to strenuous. Hot tub was perfect for sore muscles after days filled with being outdoors. The cabin was clean, had a great assortment of anything we could need, the host was responsive and really made us feel welcome with all sorts of special touches. The game room made for a fun evening of friendly competition, and the fireplace was a nice way to relax in the evenings. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Truly a great place to stay.
