We had such an amazing time at this house. We were unfortunately there for the smoke from Canada so that was a bummer. But we took full advantage of the beautiful lake just right outside the patio doors. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Renter was very happy with stay, but would have liked more recently updated bathrooms (despite viewing photos before stay) and lack of air conditioning (again, guests were well aware of this before rental).

Quintessential Up North

Such a lovely place! Having spent most of life living in Michigan and traveling to the Traverse area during the summer, this was a quintessential Michigan up north experience. The home welcoming and well-appointed. We enjoyed everything about the lake and the area!

Lovely location

This is a nice cottage on a great location of the lake. Outside area is great for family and friends to gather and inside is all open and again easy to have family gatherings. It’s very private and owner was available to contact and communicate with as needed. It was nice to have laundry on site as well.

End of June family trip

Great family cottage on beautiful Crystal Lake. Host was easy to reach and quick to respond for any minor issues we had. We made good use of the water toys and paddle boards. Ice cream, pizza, and putt putt close by. Plenty of Lake Michigan beaches, lighthouses, golf courses and good food in the area.

Stayed here with 5 friends for a girls trip. Very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you could need. Host was super responsive and communicated great.Overall amazing property on a gorgeous lake, just steps from the house! I would book it again!

Grouse Cottage on Crystal Lake

The cottage was lovely — impeccably clean with comfortable beds, beautiful and interesting furnishings, plenty of seating indoors and out, large master bedroom, everything in good repair (plumbing, appliances, drains). Host Dan was responsive to all questions. My friend and I had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Bucolic lake retreat

We had a fantastic vacation at this property!! It was all we had hoped for and more for a lake house family vacation. The children played for hours in the calm, warm waters and on the beach (thanks for all the sand toys!) and enjoyed exploring the nooks and crannies of the house. The adults loved all the space and seating inside and out, the very well-stocked kitchen, the sunsets and fires at night and playing with the kids in the water. Exploring the local towns and Sleeping Bear Dunes was a favorite for everyone. Thank you, Dan and Christine, for making our family vacation one to remember!

Amazing property! Felt like home. Incredible access to the lake, with an outdoor patio for dining, relaxing, and having fun. The swimming area just beyond the deck has a soft, sandy bottom that stays shallow and allows for easy use of paddle board or kayaks. The host was super responsive and that house had every amenity, including fun games and information about the surrounding area. Minutes from tons of local attractions and nature excursions. Best vacation ever!

Excellent stay on beautiful Crystal Lake

Our family had a fanatic stay at Grouse Lodge on Crystal Lake. Dan was very communicative from the day we booked throughout our stay. The home is neat, well stocked and has paddle boards, which were great to use off the back patio. The sunsets are beautiful. So many activities in Northern Michigan to enjoy!

Great place with an even better view and steps leading to Crystal Lake

Overall, very happy with our stay and experience. Couldn’t ask for more with regards to access to the Lake. Dinners outside, lots of space inside the house, and has the cottage feel. Great location to quick run to Beulah or downtown a little further drive into Frankfort. Rode our bikes up and down M22. Lots of use of the paddle boards. Fires at night was the cherry on top. Would highly recommend for a cozy getaway in Michigan.

Crystal Lake Gem

Wonderful long weekend with some great friends. This is a beautiful property, situated right between Frankfort and Beulah. It is literally steps from Crystal lake, central to three great beaches, and Point Betsie Lighthouse. Great host and very knowledgeable about the area and fully willing to make recommendations. Follow their advice, you won't regret it.
