It's all about the location ! We are steps to Canyon Lodge !

This is the perfect place for a couple of families or a large group! Our completely remodeled Chamonix Townhome is a short 3 minute walk to Canyon Lodge with a private entrance! You don't even have to move your car or deal with the hassle of finding parking with all of your gear! This townhome is so comfortable, cozy and convenient~ it is the perfect place to stay anytime of the year! The shuttle to take you to the village or around has a stop at Canyon and at Chamonix. All holidays require a minimum 3 night rental. Christmas and New Years require a 4 night minimum.

When you enter, there is a large mudroom to store all of your gear and plenty of hooks to hang jackets. There are 3 unassigned parking spaces.

This 3 story townhome with a private entrance includes:
~2 downstairs master suites- One room has a king bed and attached bathroom with tub/shower. The stackable washer and dryer is in the bathroom closet. The other room has a queen bed and a closet equipped with brand new closet organizers and a dresser, with attached bathroom/shower. Both bedrooms have wall mounted flat screen TV's.
~The middle floor has 2 dining areas, fully stocked kitchen, a cozy sectional couch and a large flatscreen TV hanging over the gas fireplace.
~The top floor is a large loft with 2 bunk beds (2 twin over full) and a bathroom with stand up shower. There is a balcony off the loft.
~There is a spa just steps from our front door. Open year round.
~The large recreation area has a heated pool (summer only) 2 more spas, sauna, built in gas grills, fire pit, pool table and other games. During the summer months, you can easily bike to the many bike trails at Canyon Lodge. Take the gondola to the village to enjoy all of the restaurants and shopping or take the free shuttle all over town.

**Mammoth is a beautiful location but it is also subject to the whim's of Mother Nature, therefore we are not responsible for loss of power, internet, mountain/lift, road closures due to weather. We also cannot control the operating of any rec room facilities sauna, jacuzzi, etc. as they are beyond our control!

Chris was fantastic to communicate with and their home is roomy, clean and located a few minute walk to canyon lodge. We are staying there again in January and I would recommend to anyone going to mammoth to stay there!!

Another wonderful vacation

Our second time renting this large condo for my family and grandkids. Great location. Quiet and away from traffic. Had one issue but Chris, the owner, quickly rectified it to our satisfaction. I sent him pictures of a few things that were not right for him to repair later. He was grateful for the information. Chris has always been extremely responsive and his concern has always been for our comfort and enjoyment. Thank you for another great time!

Perfect Location

We had a perfect stay. No need to wake up early and shuttle sleepy teens to the mountain (it’s just a 4-5min walk.) The condo was more than comfortable and had enough space for everyone to lounge together or retreat to separate rooms for privacy. Owners were available and attentive if needed but everything was easy and exactly as described/listed. Would definitely book again

Fantastic Location

Great stay at this property. They aren't exaggerating proximity to Canyon Lodge at all. Super convenient walk back and forth to the lifts at the lodge and the gondola into the village. On of the condo complex's hot tubs is just a few yards from the front door of the condo. Check-in process was super smooth and the owners reached out after check in to confirrm that we were all set.

A celebration for Dad

Summer visit to the mountain for my wife's fathers celebration of life with family. All of use are life long visitors to the Owens Valley and beyond with many many days on the mountain. We were looking for a place that felt like Dad and could not be happier with Chris and his family's place. If you are looking for a condo that is perfect for a family stay, pick this one ! It is clean, perfect lay out. walk to lift (in winter), all the essentials you need, hot tub just steps away and a cool Moose in the living room. Highly recommend !

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay during our first visit to Mammoth. The space was cozy and comfortable and is just enough room for the 8 of us. This location is just a few minutes walk to the lift...which doesn't get better than that!. Seamless communication with Chris and Amy. Would love to stay here again in the future. Thank you!

Family and Friends Snow Trip

House is fully stocked and better than the pictures show. Chris had everything in the house ready for us upon arrival. We were short some sheets for the trundle and he responded immediately and gave us access to additional linens. We lucked out and got a decent amount of snow during our stay. There were sleds for the kids to enjoy outside and shovels/scrapers available to dig our cars out upon departure. Would definitely stay in this unit again.

Great rental

Well stocked, close walk to Canyon Lodge, great communication with host. Enough space for 2 families, 4 adults & 4 teen/preteens. Mud room great for storage of skis and snowboards. Parking right in front of the unit. Individual thermostats for down stairs rooms with their own bathrooms. Host was great at getting us the information in advance, allowed for early check-in, and helped us find sheets for couch. Excellent place, would stay here again!

Family Reunion

This was the perfect sized condo for us! Plenty of bathrooms which is always a plus. Parking was very convenient. The kitchen is small but we did not need to make meals there so it was not an issue for us! Chris was a very accommodating host. We were most appreciative!

Super relaxing and fun

This host has a five star rating for a reason. They are super flexible and cool about everything. Plus, they offer a stain that is very comfortable, and go out of their way to make sure that it is comfortable. While we were there, we had no trouble enjoying ourselves and having a good time. All of the things that you would expect at, a great getaway, are here. Multiple TVs throughout the unit, all with streaming services, throughout the unit, recently renovated and updated interior, lots and lots of space for sleeping and living. The chicken process was a breeze. The checkout process was a breeze. Lots of little thoughtful touches, everywhere. I’m not sure how much other reviewer’s discuss this, but I’m not going to list them here, so that you’ll be delighted by the surprises.

Who needs Yosemite when you’ve got Mammoth Lakes!

This condo was incredibly clean, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed (great kitchen, games, comfy beds, great showers, gas fireplace for cool nights) for a summer vacation in the Sierra Nevada mountains! Though the closure of the Tioga Pass kept us from enjoying Yosemite as we had planned, Mammoth Lakes and surrounding areas provided incredible hikes and views, and your condo was THE PERFECT place to come home to and relax after a day exploring the beauty around us.

Wonderful stay!

Perfect condo for a quick Mammoth weekend! We walked to the slopes and took advantage of all the condo amenities. The host was great to communicate with and accommodated some changes to check-in/out times. Would recommend to anyone!

We are the Sharp family, and we are from Southern California. We have been coming up to Mammoth since we were young kids. After having our own kids, we continued to come back to enjoy Mammoth several times a year, in both summer and winter! We all love the beauty of Mammoth- in both the summer and winter months!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

After renting and staying at many different properties and locations in Mammoth, we decided that we LOVE the area by Canyon Lodge and wanted to find a place close! We go back to the days when it was called "Warming Hut 2"! We have rented in Chamonix before, and love the location and layout of this particular townhome. It is so convenient to be able to walk to the lodge, come home for lunch, or even take a break for an hour. With this location, we don't have to worry about packing up the car, getting a parking spot close to the lodge and schlepping all of our gear!
Not only is the location ideal, but we also love the coziness of our unit. Austria Hoff is walking distance for good food and drinks, and you can hop on the gondola and take a quick trip down to the village when it is running.
