Cooper Mountain Cabin is the perfect spot for get-out-of-the-grind getaways with friends, families visiting Portland or celebrating special occasions, and event gatherings like weddings, graduations, birthdays, and bridal or bachelor weekends. Nestled on 15 private acres of lush Oregon forest, this newly renovated 1976 cabin offers the ideal blend of peaceful nature and modern comfortâperfect for relaxing, reconnecting, and making lasting memories.
Inside, youâll find high ceilings and a modern rustic vibe, with a beautifully updated kitchen featuring granite countertops, tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances. You will need a vehicle to find our place and explore the surrounding areas. Since we are tucked into a private forest it's a little tricky to find, but we'll send very detailed instructions when you book with us. Don't be nervous about the gravel road entrance it looks more daunting than it actually is.
Uber & Lyft are able to pick up and drop off at the cabin, but sometimes need some additional information from the guest since it is on a Private road.
We can also recommend an excellent Shuttle service that we use and are very familiar with the cabin's location and pickup/drop offs from PDX.
*Our total price includes a one-time $280 cleaning fee, ideal for large groups (6 beds, 3 baths). Nightly rate varies by season.
*Arriving early or leaving late? Ask about our half-day add on fee (10AM check in or 4pm check out) - $150
*Looking for dates beyond 9 months? Send a message and we can open them for your booking!

Please Note:
Our cancellation policy includes a limited refund window. We recommend confirming travel plans before booking or purchasing travel insurance.
If you cancel outside the refund window and we are able to rebook the same dates at equal or greater value, we will issue a partial refund minus a small rebooking fee. We always try to work with guests when possible.
If youâre booking far in advance and unsure of your travel dates, we recommend finalizing your plans before booking, or considering travel insurance to protect your investment.
Please note that this cabin is nestled in a forested area, so you may encounter insects, bees, and other critters, particularly around the fruit trees. We have regular pest control treatments every two months, but this doesnât guarantee that you wonât spot any pests during your stay, *especially ants or box elder bugs, which can be persistent in Spring and Summer.
Wildlife? Definitely.
Additionally, we often see local wildlife like squirrels, birds, deer, raccoons, owls, garter snakes, and occasionally coyotes. While weâve never had any concerning encounters, please keep in mind that these animals share the space and may cross your path while you're here.

Qui vous reçoit ?
Vous ĂȘtes reçu par Echo Merrell

The first time we drove into this forest, we felt ourselves exhaleâa deep, calming breath we didnât know we needed. That peace is something we love sharing with our guests. In 2021, we found our dream cabin and began preserving this beautiful slice of native Oregon forest. Surrounded by towering Douglas firs, ferns, and wildlife, this retreat offers serenity and inspiration. We canât wait to welcome you to the magic of the PNW!
Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
We love nature so being surrounded by such unique older growth forest really resonates with us. We are hikers, love to ski and snowboard up on Mt. Hood, love making day trips out to the ocean but also enjoy the convenience of living close to shopping, downtown events and the unique atmosphere of Portland and the PNW.
Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
We nicknamed this the âEwok Houseâ for its treehouse-like design, with living spaces upstairs, bedrooms below, and balconies nestled among the trees. Itâs completely privateâwe didnât even need curtains when we first stayed here! A family of deer calls this forest home, with mama deer and their fawns returning each season to snack on fallen fruit from the plum, apple, and pear trees. They seem to enjoy watching us as much as we enjoy watching them.
