The Space:
Beyond the well-designed interior, this 2-bedroom 1-bath home comfortably sleeps 5 guests with a Queen bed in one room as well as a bunk bed in the other room with a Queen bed on the bottom and a Twin XL on the top. It is conveniently located between the beach and the bay. If you are looking for the comforts of modern charm in your coastal getaway, this gem is sure to exceed your vacation expectations!

Guest Access:
This unit shares the outdoor shower with the other duplex unit. There is a secured access alley between the two units that makes it possible to rent both for parties of up to nine guests. Inquire with us if you are interested in booking both units!

The Neighborhood:
Located in the heart of Mission Beach just 8 blocks from the famous Belmont Park and roller coaster! Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and entertainment leaves you with endless things to do and places to explore! The best part is that it is situated just a few steps from both the beach and the bay! To one side you can enjoy the quiet serenity of the bay - try paddle boarding or simply lay out in the sand with a good book. To the other side, you can grab a surfboard and head to the ocean for some good San Diego surfing! Both sides offer miles of boardwalk - perfect for walking, running, or biking!! Whichever you choose, come home to an outdoor shower and sit out on your patio to watch the sunset like a true local!

Getting Around:
Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and entertainment leaves you with endless places to explore.

Occupants exceeding FIVE will NOT BE PERMITTED TO STAY PAST 10PM. (Children & infants are occupants)

No more than 3 guests above the stated number of occupants in your reservation are allowed on premises at anytime.

For your safety there are outdoor cameras on the front door driveway, back door, and inside the garage laundry area entrances of the property.

San Diego now requires all guests to sign a Good Neighbor Policy document prior to staying. We do enforce their policy so it must be signed in order to receive checkin info, but we will make it super easy for you to initial and sign :) It can all be done online.

Great location

Very good location and walking distance to most attractions around Mission beach. One block off the mission beach board walk. Communication was great and very attentive to our needs.

Great location for family fun

Love this location - everything was in walking distance. Had a great time at the beach and Belmont park, great food nearby. The house was clean, comfortable and convenient to everything we wanted to do.

GREAT cottage stay!

This home is perfectly located close to the beach, the bay and less than 1 mile to Belmont Park! It has been remodeled and has the best beach vines! Kitchen stocked with everything you would need to cook for your family!!! The on line pictures are very true! This home is clean and very comfortable!!! We will most definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Newly redone property, nicely done. Clean. Wonderfully close to the beach and bay (equidistant 5 minute walk to each). 5 minute drive to Sea World, 30 minute drive to Sesame Place. 5 -7 minute walk to Luigi’s Pizza, Mexican joints, and 10 minutes to Belmont Park .. tops. 1 minute walk to a neighborhood market/beach grocery… 10 minute drive to a large grocery.. what a safe and convenient location! Only drawbacks were : I wanted to know about Samsung TV in advance (free and great) , on-site parking was snug (also was unsure) .. but for our 2019 Durango well.. and finally .. if people seeing your silhouette through a very thin set of street facing blinds on two walls bothers you- don’t go here.. (needs more window treatments I thought)… 9.7/10 overall. You’ll love the neighborhood, location, all just well done. Kudos! See you next time - really. Oh- well done cleaning staff. 100% great - just don’t let your 4 year old under a bed.. that’s the only dust in the entire gorgeous little home. Again- well done and thank you for having us!

Sand in Bedsheets. Corners Cut Cleaning Kitchen/Dishes. Host No Longer Responding.

We only stayed 1 (of 6) nights, and that was only because we had to arrive/check in very late due to travel and other commitments that day. We made alternate plans the next morning because we weren’t comfortable with the standard of cleaning. The home is cute and in a convenient location for walkable activities, which is a big part of the reason we chose it. We also have two little ones, one of which with some food allergies, so we wanted separate bedrooms and a kitchen. Unfortunately, the most notable aspect was the poor cleaning standards. The sandy sheets were the first thing noticed because we tucked our boys in right away and our oldest noticed immediately. He wanted to sleep on the couch, but we worked on brushing it out, then he put on long pjs and socks. Our bed in the other room was the same way, so we stripped the bedding and worked for a while to brush out as much as possible. In the morning, we found the kitchen and living room to have some cleanliness issues with food. There were easily visible crumbs under the furniture in the living room, including a pistachio shell. There were also crumbs and dirt on plates in the cupboard and in the silverwear tray in the drawer. Shelves in the fridge were also sticky from food. As a family with some food allergies among us (including tree nuts), we weren’t comfortable using the the stuff provided in the kitchen. We used the first morning of our vacation figuring out what to do and found an alternative solution. I communicated via message starting that morning (Saturday) and that continued for a couple days. To date, I have been informed that we could get a refund of any dates THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO SELL TO SOMEONE ELSE. So, our refund depends on whether they can rebook the nights. To clarify, our choice was to rent, for a couple thousand dollars, the place described by the listing and the standards of VRBO for cleaning. We were not hoping to have to find another option so that my family was comfortable using the beds and dishes. We have not received a response to our messages since Monday (today is now Friday). I have followed-up, but they have stopped responding. Despite the reservation being cancelled on Monday, I received the email from VRBO asking if we enjoyed our stay on Thursday (the day we were scheduled to check out), so I’m providing feedback. Look elsewhere.

Great place, problems with property manager

I liked the place and the location was great. However I had problems with both check in and check out. When I booked the unit I received a message that I would get check in information 2-3 days prior to arrival. The day before arrival there was still no information on check in. I sent a message to the property through VRBO and received no response. The day of check in I called the them a little more than an hour before check in because still no check in information and left a message. I left a second message thirty minutes later and finally got a response. This caused unnecessary stress on day of check in. On day before check out I received a message regarding check out. In it they said check out time was 10 am, but my reservation clearly stated that check was 11 am. I contacted them, but they said cleaners were scheduled for 10 am and I had to be out by then. The check out message also threatened a $20 penalty for every 10 minutes. I felt it was unreasonable for them to change my check out time without my consent. They kept acting like I was the one trying to change the time. I got the impression they did not know what time was listed on the booking through VRBO. If they can correct the issues with the property management, this would be a nice place to stay.
