This spacious upper level apartment has been fully updated for your comfort and enjoyment. The River is a one-bedroom suite with a queen bed, sleeper sectional couch and a side chair that converts to a futon. We’ve curated thoughtful amenities to welcome the seasoned business traveler, outdoorsperson or compliment the perfect couple’s getaway. Private and street parking available. Just minutes from Belle Isle, local pubs, boutiques and restaurant districts. Also 10 minutes from downtown Detroit.

This space is unique, clean, freshly updated and decorated in a modern style. Ideal for couples, small families, and business travelers. This apartment has large windows and a private entrance with keyless self-check in for total privacy. It is fully equipped with everything you would need for short or longer stay. There are shared community areas in the basement, a lounge, game room and laundry center, as well as a back yard patio complete with fire pit and plenty of seating. Grab the smores and enjoy!

Pleasant Stay

I came for the fishing and it was a great location for Lake St. Clair fishing. Nice modern unit. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Close to Ford Field

This was a great place to stay if you are attending an event at Ford Field. My only issue was that if you drive a full size vehicle, the parking is tight. The place was clean and comfortable.

Spacious, Clean, and Convenient

The River was comfortable, clean and spacious. The unit had a full-sized kitchen with extra touches making us feel welcomed. The location was convenient to the Grosse Pointe areas and Detroit. It is located upstairs which may be a concern for some. Thank you for this pleasant experience.

Second floor apartment is very very nicely renovated and has everything you need.

While a short ride from the city centre its a really well maintained and has everything you need - a really nice place. Access to city centre for sporting activities is an easy 15 minute ($25) Uber ride.

Perfect for our needs.

The Park and River Chalet was perfect for our needs. My wife had brain surgery at the hospital close by and I rented the Chalet as a 'home away from home', instead of making a 5 hour daily round trip commute. It had everything needed to for a perfect home base. I appreciated the wonderfully appointed kitchen to make a hardy breakfast and healthy dinner between hospital visits. The key less entey qnd high tech amenities were a bonus. Because we were carrieing in a weeks worth of groceries in the rain and my wife's balance was unstable, we had the use of the extra street front parking making check in extra convenient. The last morning was beautiful weather so , with a hot cup of Joe, I walked to the river front to a cute park enjoying a beautiful sunrise. I highly recommend the Park and River Chalet if you are in Detroit for business, medical, sporting or entertainment events, visiting family or just enjoying all the revitalization Detroit has to offer. Thank you again Lionel for your hospitality and sharing this gem . For my wife's medical follow-up, we extend on spending a few days at the Chalet and enjoy the River front, Bell Isle and the fun things this area have to offer. Thank you again Lionel.

Great spot!

Really enjoyed this apartment on the second story of a house. Very clean. Everything in order and as promised. The owner has clearly put time, effort and money into making this a great place to stay. Very good communication from owner. Canal system there is fascinating to see and historically interesting. Negatives: very tight driveway - one inch space to get through on either side of my rented F150 truck . Street is one street south of a beautiful neigborhood one street the north of a not so beautiful neighborhood.

Perfect little spot!

This was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay. We were in town to see a medical specialist whose office is 0.4 miles away. Very affordable, clean and comfortable. The snacks and coffee were a plus! The only challenge was that the rental car company upgraded me to a full size SUV that didn’t really fit in the designated parking so we parked on the street. If we come back again this will be the first place I check for availability.

Great Place to Stay

This was a perfect place for my weekend in Detroit. We were having a family celebration of a 65th wedding anniversary for my aunt and uncle and there were 20 of us in town staying at different locations. I loved my location and only wish I could have spent a little more time in the unit. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a VRBO that was as clean. So nice!!! I will definitely be back to Detroit and will definitely stay in this unit again.

Lovely way to check out Detroit!

Everything was as described-- clean, tidy and bright. I enjoyed this location as a home base to check out Detroit downtown, and the Grosse Pointes area. I walked down to the river, and around the neighborhood. A market in walking distance. Restaurants and bars very close! I highly recommend this spot, and appreciate Lionel as a stellar host!
