This beautiful 7 bedroom 4.5 bathroom Historic home is located directly on Elk Avenue in the heart of Downtown Crested Butte. Built in the late 1800's, this house is filled with original antique furnishings that make you feel like you are stepping back into the history of Crested Butte. Elegant and charming, it has the feel of a bed & breakfast with the privacy of a vacation rental home.

A perfect place for multiple families, this home boasts 7 bedrooms, with 4 3/4 bathrooms and one half bath with a total occupancy of 16 people. With views of Mt. Crested Butte and convenience to all the shops and restaurants that Crested Butte has to offer, this home is the perfect place to enjoy the full experience this historic mining town has to offer. 1 King Bed, 4 Queen Beds, and 6 Twin Beds.

The kitchen was big and very well equipped. All the kids thought it was the best room in the house. Beds were adequate. The bathrooms on every floor was GREAT for everyone.

Kitchen had everything we needed for the light cooking we had to do. Two dishwashers was very handy for a group of 16 for 3 nights.

Group Ski Trip to CB

We had a fantastic time in Crested Butte! This house is in the best location possible. It was very comfortable for a large group. We also were able to park more than 2 cars behind the house which was super helpful. Thanks for hosting us!

Perfect Location

The home was perfect for our family of 9 with plenty of room for all. And the location is in the heart of the town. Communication with the property management was personable and timely. You won’t regret choosing this property.

Perfect house on Elk

Came into town for 5 days with friends. We stayed at this house in Elk and found it the perfect location. It is an older historical home. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Kitchen equipped. Good TV. LOCATION WAS THE BEST! and the management company was responsive . Would stay here again.

Hike and wine

I have a part-time residence here in crested Butte and I invited nine of my women, hiking friends, who winter in Scottsdale Arizona to come and join me for five days. It was exactly what we needed. Proximity to coffee shops proximity to downtown shopping and short drives to Wonderful, beautiful hikes

Great location and supports large group comfortably

Great location, right next to everything in downtown. Ski resort bus was a short walk away. Our group was comfortable and happy. There were a few dishes in the cabinets that were dirty on arrival. Also furniture is dated, I understand they're trying to keep a historical vibe but some updates on furnishing could be made tastefully. Overall great experience and would stay again if I had a large group.

Great location, great house

Had a birthday party weekend with 10 ppl. Great amount of space. Big table in kitchen where we all socialized. Plenty of parking for 4 cars, maybe even squeeze in a 5th. Great house if you are looking for a convenience location to town and also bus to ski area for a large group. Could use more living room furniture instead of the small round table.

Family Vacation

This worked perfect for our family. We have 8 grandchildren and their parents which put us at 16. Fit perfectly. Two tv areas downstairs. We could lock off the toddlers in one room with us and older kids watched tv in the other den. Perfect! Nice big kitchen table area for meals and to do crafts with kids. Good location…center of town.

Great place in a great town

The house is located in the hart of Crested Butte with 5 minutes drive to the mountain and walking distance to pretty much everything, restaurants, bars, stores, coffee shop. One of the coffee shops was right next door(Camp 4 Coffee). We would stop by every day after skiing. Great place!!!! The house is very clean and well stocked for a big group, double dishwashers, double washers and dryers. There is a two car spots in the back, but you can probably fit a third one. Overall is a great place to stay. If we ever go back to Crested Butte with a big group it would be a first choice to stay at.

Summer Vacation in Crested Butte

My Husband and I, our three small children, and my parents spent a wonderful week in Crested Butte at the Hunt House. The location was absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Crested Butte. We were able to walk everywhere which is a huge benefit with the ages of our children. The house had plenty of room for our group. We didn't need to put anyone in the rooms on the 3rd floor. Those rooms may be a little warm in the summertime, but you can always crack a window and I'm guessing it would be comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

The absolute best location in CB!

3 generations stayed for skiing and celebrating the Christmas holiday. 9 of us had more than enough room. Grand parents in the master on first floor, 2 of 4 rooms used on the second floor and 2 rooms used on the third floor. Literally a 2 minute walk to Secret Stash. Walk out the back door and you basically have your own private entrance to Camp for Coffee. A 5 minute walk (at most) to the bus stop to shuttle to the mountain for skiing. YOU CANT BEAT THIS LOCATION if you’re going to CB!!

ROOMY!!!

If you're looking to be in the heart of a mountain town, this is the place to be! This home sits on the main drag in Crested Butte among all of the retail shops. It was great during the day to run right next door for a quick cup of coffee or a new sweatshirt. Not so great at night. Plowing started some mornings as early as 3AM. And lots of foot traffic and socializing at all hours of the night right outside your front door. If your room is located toward the front of the home, you won't get much sleep, or at least I didn't. LOTS of bedrooms, which was amazing. The listing was a bit confusing to us as far as beds are concerned. We chose this property because it showed at least 1 king bed and 4 queen beds. We were a bit disappointed to see only 1 king and 3 ACTUAL queen BEDS. There was a queen pullout sofa bed, but the mattress was so thin you could feel the springs. Not an option for us... Speaking of beds, I highly recommend you bring your own pillows. At this price point, we were extremely disappointed in the pillows. Pathetic... One of our biggest challenges was the temperature within the home. If we were warm downstairs, the people upstairs were BURNING HOT. Each night we tried something different with the thermostats, but never really got it right. It would be nice for the host to provide some direction on this item. Trash was a bit of an issue. The host mentioned a trash container on the front porch, but it wasn't there. The bear proof trash containers in the back were full our entire stay. I'm not even certain those containers were meant for us. By the time our stay ended, we had mounds of trash just outside the back door. Parking was really tough. For such a large home that sleeps so many, parking is lacking. The host said there was room for "4ish vehicles". There is only room for 3 unless you drive a Mini-Cooper. We regularly had to search for legal parking for our 4th vehicle, which didn't end so well one night. I'll just say the parking signs can be a bit confusing. The home is well stocked and there were some nice features. Remodeled bathrooms, pretty washcloths for makeup removal, 2 sets of washers and dryers, etc. It's within walking distance to shuttles and lots of shopping and food. If you want to be among it all day and all night, this might be the perfect place for you! We prefer a bit more outdoor space, wildlife, and privacy. Don't forget to bring your pillow!!

Family Holiday

We spent 5 nights in the Hunt House to celebrate our family Christmas. The home is perfect for a large group with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen with the large table is great for a large group. We had a wonderful time and the location is perfect!

Family Christmas

We all had a wonderful Christmas staying at the Hunt House. Kids played in the snow, got to sled and ice skate. Families all skied. Great house.
