Cette cabane en rondins confortable est la quintessence maison Crested Butte. De l'enrouler autour de porche avec des chaises Adirondack aux énormes poutres de journaux et des portes voûtées, vous aurez vraiment apprécier «Butte vivre comme jamais auparavant!

Le salon, salle à manger, et la zone ouverte de la cuisine est grande pour se divertir. Avec des plafonds voûtés, une table à manger pouvant accueillir 6, un poêle à bois, un mobilier confortable et d'une télévision à écran plat brûlant, vous êtes lié pour profiter de chaque instant! Off du salon sont deux chambres qui partagent une salle de bain complète. La première chambre est équipée d'un lit queen, et la deuxième chambre a deux lits jumeaux parfaits pour vos amis ou enfants.

Le premier étage est isolée, chambre des maîtres privée. Cette chambre spacieuse dispose d'un lit king size, une télévision à écran plat, une salle de bain avec une grande baignoire et d'un balcon privé.

Situé dans CB Sud à seulement 7 miles de la ville de Crested Butte, cette maison offre un cadre paisible à proximité de tout. Un café, un magasin d'alcools, une épicerie et le restaurant Tully's sont tous à distance de marche de la maison, ou un lecteur rapide dans CB offre plus de magasins, de restaurants et de ski! Roomy property in a very quiet neighborhood. It is 10 minutes from downtown Crested Butte and well located for getting to trails. Would definitely stay here again!

Well equipped home with some extras like tissue boxes, grocery shopping bags, lunch coolers, freezer packs, lots of key kitchen staples. Kitchen pots, pans, knives, were average. Dishes and glassware excellent. Beds excellent. Very cool log cabin vibe with interior logs visible in bedrooms, ceiling, and bathtub! We did a fun 1000 piece puzzle when we weren't hiking and biking in Crested Butte. Free bus every half hour to Crested Butte downtown. 5-10 min walk.

Nice property excellent location

Overall great stay, very clean..favorite part was location the local brewery and coffee shop are great. Big applause on how well the place was equipped with kitchen supplies, spices, foil etc. nice quiet neighborhood, the neighbor dogs are so rad!

Great place! Second time here and it was just as great as the last.

I love the Shavano Cabin! It is just what a mountain cabin should be. Just enough room for our family and in a great location, out of the town crowd but close enough to be handy. When I think of a cabin, I think of logs and that is what this cabin gives you. Love it.

Enjoyed our stay at this cabin, nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the open space and all the windows to see outside and letting the sunshine in. The WiFi wasn’t great. It had everything else we needed.

Visit to Shavanno log home

Very nice property, clean, well appointed, great location. Our only complaint was that the main floor was cold on arrival and slow to heat. Also it would have been helpful to have instructions on using the wood stove, with a supply of kindling and paper available. ( there was plenty of firewood however). It was a bit of a learning curve to get a fire going without smoking up the place. With practice, we did ok but better guidance would have helped.

Spring Break Ski Trip

Our family of 4 (including 2 teens) and another couple stayed in the cabin for a spring break ski trip. The bedroom layout worked perfectly for us and we really appreciated the comfortable seating in the living room. Plenty of comfy couches and a recliner for everyone to relax in the evening (not always the case at other properties). It was a short drive into the town of CB and to the resort for skiing. The ice maker worked, which was a plus, for those of us that need ice in our beverages. And we did find instructions for the wood stove in the door of the cabinet next to the stove. (This would be better suited for the binder of info though.) We stopped for groceries in Gunnison and picked up a few things in CB later in the week. Kitchen was well appointed, laundry was handy, parking for 2 vehicles. We'd def go back to the Shavano cabin. The only negative was the lack of a recycle bin but we were able to find one to use before we left. Great trip.

Perfect location for us

The location was perfect for us - we wanted to be in CB South. We enjoyed the large porch/seating and beautiful hanging flower baskets. Enjoyed Alpine glow sunsets and two double rainbows, friendly neighbors, nearby great hiking and wildflower festival week. close to town but not too close, I wouldn't say the kitchen is "well stocked". Missing a baking dish that could accommodate something like lasagna, knives dull, no measuring spoons. We shared additional feedback with Alpine Getaways directly and got quick response with assurance that a few other upgrades would be addressed. If possible, recommend booking directly with them to avoid additional Home Away fee.

As far as baking pans go, they are in the armoire type storage unit to the far left of the kitchen. We hope to have you back again next time you come to CB!

Disappointed- I’d never stay here again

My husband and I stayed here for a week in September, and I am underwhelmed. The neighborhood, the mountain views, and the proximity to hikes and the town of Crested Butte were all absolutely fantastic. However, the house itself needs some serious attention. It was clean-ish, but I had to scrub the tub before taking a bath in the primary bathroom. The tub is absolutely huge, which I was so excited about, especially after all day hikes. But there isn’t enough hot water to even fill the tub halfway. So disappointing. I particularly chose this place so I could take baths. Furthermore, the primary bedroom upstairs doesn’t have a door?! There is an old curtain that doesn’t even close. No privacy at all. My husband and I had full conversations with me in bed upstairs and him in the kitchen, at our normal speaking volumes. So, if you are looking to stay here with more than 1 couple, don’t. The primary bathroom doesn’t have hot water in the sink. Waking up on a cold morning and washing up with ice cold water? No thanks. I’d stay in a way cheaper place and be fine with this, but I’m not ok with all of this for ~300/night. The kitchen faucet leaks, and you have to turn it off juuuuust perfectly to make it stop. It’s wasteful, and I wish we’d noticed sooner. Also, the dishwasher doesn’t work properly. We ran that tiny, cheap thing 4 times, and finally gave up and washed everything by hand. I never received the code for the front door and had to text the property manager for it once we arrived. They responded immediately, which was a huge relief. We could have been trapped outside/in the car at night for some time. The beds were hard, not very comfortable at all. The utensils and kitchenware were cheap and just… all around disappointing. I could keep complaining, but you get the point. For reference, my husband and I are in our late 30s, no kids or pets with us. I love adventure and being active in the mountains all day and then coming back to a semi-luxurious, relaxing, clean, nice home. This place was not that, and I would not stay here again. I wish I could get some money back. This house needs major work to meet the expectations they set in the listing.

Good floor plan accommodates 2 generations

Over-all satisfied, but attention to some details would make dramatic improvements: carpet runners on steps NEED securing for safety; review of all pots/pans/etc is needed - some are bent, broken, unsanitarily scratched, under- and over-stocked; if this inventory's pared down, more room for dry goods would be available; dishwasher only uses gel yet only powder packs provided - we hand-washed with superior results; clearer and more obvious directions for wood stove, garbage(recycling) and snow removal; do not accept toddlers without better cabinet latches. Nonetheless, your well made log home provided for a wonderful Christmas family time - thank you.

We L O V E D The Shavano Cabin!

We had a perfect week at the Shavano Cabin. The space was thoughtfully decorated, CLEAN, full of amenities and essentials, and on a quiet street in a seemingly safe neighborhood. Our family (couple, 3 and 1 yo) had plenty of space, with a large open living and kitchen area and windows everywhere for beautiful light. We were able to keep the windows open to keep the place cool, and the noise was never an issue. The front porch is where we spent most of our time when we were there. There are 4 Adirondack chairs and a table, perfect for enjoying the view. Minimal car traffic, and mostly just neighbors walking. The bedrooms were outfitted properly and the master was huge. For our little family, we had a gate on the master door threshold which allowed us to all be upstairs getting ready together, and not worrying about anyone toppling downstairs. Other things we used and appreciated: laundry, dishwasher, and WIFI. We also watched the Olympics on the TV. The communication with the property manager was excellent, timely and kind. We arrived a day early and requested at the last minute to stay another night if possible. Within an hour, we had booked another night and started our vacation early, thanks to the great communication on their part. We were able to walk to the coffee shop nearby and that was a bonus. Many of the other shops appeared to be closed. We also went to the restaurant Tully’s and the liquor store, both more convenient than getting to downtown CB. Just a couple things to consider, especially if going with small children. - Bi-level floors made it tricky for our new walker. There was a gate and we brought one, however neither fit on the wide (beautiful) stairs. We had to barricade it off, which was a hassle. - One night (3am) a huge bear appeared on the driveway and attempted to open our trash can. He tried for a solid 5 minutes. Be sure you remove ANY trash outside and keep it INSIDE the bear-safe trash can. The latch was tricky but we figured it out. All in all, highly recommend!!

Besides being a well taken care of property, the convenience to Camp 4 Coffee (our favorite!), Cement Creek and other hiking opportunities can’t be beat. We’ll be back!

Crested Butte-Almont House

Everything about this property exceeded expectations. Each room was spacious with nice furniture and comfortable beds. The house was well stocked with all the basics to start. Appliances were all like-new and the kitchen contained all the eating and cooking utensils we needed. The location made it short trips to Crested Butte, Almont and Gunnison including fishing areas along the Taylor and Gunnison rivers. It was a huge part dof making our vacation a joy!
