This house was originally a summer-only home built by an Industrial Arts teacher from Superior. When he built the house, he used a former basketball court from his school for the floor in the front half of the house, which is now the upstairs living and dining area. He built the house in the years following WWII, and we estimate the floor upstairs may be over 100 years old. One last note on the upstairs floors: in the two bedrooms, the floors are of Douglas Fir--this wood was in the house next door, which was wiped out in a 2001 flood. We were able to salvage the wood and use it for the floors in the upstairs bedrooms. Because these floors are relatively old, please do not wear street shoes in the house. After I bought it, we decided to convert it to a year-round home. We jacked up the old house, added a floor underneath and expanded the foot print further towards the back of the lot. We rearranged the floorplan, and opened the front of the house with windows. Now, the house has two bedrooms upstairs (one primary bedroom and bath) and another guest bedroom and a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath tub. There's a kitchen, dining area and a living room with a fireplace upstairs.

Downstairs there's and a disabled-accessible bathroom and bedroom, kitchen and living room. There's also a utility room with a washer and dryer available for guest use.
There is cable TV and Wifi, 3 TVs upstairs (lvng rm, kitchen & primary bdrm) and one downstairs. We hope you like the changes and enjoy your stay!
