It has nice living and dining spaces, with a well-equipped kitchen featuring a dishwasher, a microwave, and other small appliances to meet your day-to-day needs. There is a cable TV, a DVD player, high-speed WiFi, a phone, a stereo, and a radio. Additionally, there are ceiling fans and central AC to keep everyone comfortable! Great family beach house

House is updated and comfortable (beds, sofas, good AC). We like to cook, so we appreciated the decent kitchen facilities and cooking utensils. View of the marsh on the other side is nice from the front porch.

Great family vacation!

Dowitcher was the perfect home for our multigenerational group! Everything was clean and prepared for us when we arrived and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need for the week. Easy beach access was very important for us and the oldest and youngest amount us had no issues navigating the sand to ready the beach. We would love to stay here again!

Dowitcher Stay

We loved our stay at Dowitcher. The walk to the beach was great. Our only complaint would be not having a TV in the bedrooms. Other than that it was wonderful

Great location but home needs to be sprayed for bugs

Love the location and the area and the location of the home on the beach, however during our stay we encountered several roaches. Specifically in 2 of the bathrooms and bedrooms (we did not have any food in these areas). This was very frustrating as these are not the types of souvenirs you want to take home from vacation. We loved the area and will probably come back will just select another home

The property was very nice. I am concerned why we had to pay the extra booking fee to VRBO. VRBO did NOTHING for us. Everything was handled through Vacasa. I'm very upset over the extra fee to VRBO. Totally unnecessary

First time with Vacasa

We are trying to be honest and give a positive criticism. First of all, we were relieved to see that our beds were made after a long drive. Pillows, beds and towels were already provided and complimentary of Dishwasher and laundry soap. pillows, bed and towels were great. The living area was big enough for 8 people. Plenty of porch sitting and the walk to the beach was not long. However, the house does need a lot of work. Ceiling fans were so noisy that you could not run them at night because it kept us awake. Crack or broken wood in several places. For the chef who likes to cook Kitchen spoons were very flimsy and we end up buying a sturdy set of ladle. Skillets did not have a top that fits same with the pots. We donated a 12” inch skillet with top and set of sturdy ladle.the bedrooms can use a little perks like nicer dressers or maybe just paint them. Over, all we had a pleasant stay. We will rent from Vacasa again! Good job:) Thanks!

Great Thanksgiving break

While property was “old” everything was clean and the location, on the beach, was fantastic. Despite being cool we managed to spend a lot of time on the beach, collecting sea biscuits and fishing. All of our party really enjoyed our week

Gorgeous sunsets

Absolutely loved the rocking chairs on the back porch and watching the gorgeous sunsets! We spent 90% of our time outside on the porch! A perfect way to spend our week!

Great views

We had a great time at this house. Everything we needed was there. We had a hard time getting in because the code we were given had a couple of numbers reversed, but we figured that out.

Minor inconveniences

Management was responsive to all our calls. Oven cleaner discovered in stove after turned it on. Hot water line was switched on washer which meant cold water wash was pure hot. That shrinks. Leaking toilet in one of 4 bathrooms. The biggest issue was the windows. The house needed aired out. Many windows secured, unable to open. One window fell injuring my hand. Luckily the glass did not break. Maintenance helped us rig up a system to open one window of 15. The window that fell is a hazard. I am lucky that my wound was not worse. All minor inconveniences. The house had good layout and served us well. I believe we were first for the season. Nicely located and nicely stocked with towels. This was a nice surprise. .

Fabulous beach getaway

We loved the high ceilings, the super comfy beds and luxurious towels. We had everything we needed to kick back and relax. We especially appreciated the beautiful view from the deck.

Great House for a Family Get Away

We have enjoyed the house, as well as several other houses owned by the same family, for the last 13 years. It is a great house to rent. Recent updates include new living room furniture and 3 of the bedrooms queen beds were upgraded to king size. My only concern is that the room I stayed in did not have a mattress cover.

Nice Older Beach House

Loved the extra bathrooms and spacious living area. Three king beds is a bonus. Kitchen amenities are lacking adequate glassware, silverware and cookware. Could use updated furniture on the covered porch.
