Prix considérablement réduits lorsque votre fête est petite! Idéal pour les vacances d'hiver et d'été! 7300 pieds d'altitude, de superbes vues panoramiques de haut en bas. Construit en 1998 et considérablement agrandi par la suite. De belles vues sont maximisées dans chaque pièce et de grands ponts enveloppants sur trois niveaux. 4 chambres (dont deux chambres de maître), 3 salles de bain complètes et 1 salle de bain pour les invités; environ. Superficie habitable de 2100 pieds carrés. Vous vous sentez simplement au sommet du monde!

Les attractions en hiver incluent deux célèbres stations de ski de fond à proximité (Tahoe / Donner - 2 miles et Royal Gorge -15 miles), un joli domaine de ski alpin familial à moins de 2 miles et les célèbres stations de ski de Tahoe-Area à proximité (Squaw Valley , Alpine Meadows, Sugar Bowl, North Star et autres).

Les attractions en été comprennent les installations du complexe Tahoe / Donner (golf, tennis, deux piscines ouvertes, sentiers de randonnée, navigation de plaisance sur le lac Donner et le lac Tahoe, rafting, kayak, escalade, baignade dans les lacs, VTT sur des sentiers sans fin et divers degrés de difficulté, début du sentier principal à proximité, etc.

We had a magical experience. The view was spectacular, the snow was perfect for sledding and the house was perfectly located forskiing and trinket shopping. Klaus was a great host and was very responsive!

Great house overall with beautiful views. We were there during a snow storm and the driveway and roads were plowed expeditiously allowing us to get out skiing.

Family perfect experience

We had a great time. Lots of opportunities for a family to have a great time. Well stocked, immaculate and well designed. The landlord was very gracious in finding ways to communicate when the VRBO platform didn't work very well. He was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. We would love to come back!

The house was easy to find and very spacious! It was everything we wanted for our Christmas vacation. It was only a 10 minute walk to hiking/sledding and the views were amazing. We loved that there was a deck on each level so everyone can have their private view! Owners are very nice and responded quickly to questions. We would definitely stay here again!

We proud ourselves with customer satisfaction, and over 30 five-star reviews of Alta Vista attest to the success of this operating principle. Very unfortunately, there was a housekeeping snafu, and when these guests arrived they found housekeeping only partially done. Such incidences are very rare indeed, and we immediately offered refund of the entire housekeeping fee they had been charged. We assume that this mishap was the reason why the 5th star was withheld.

Nice view but a long way out of town

Carpets are horrible and appear to be beyond cleaning. Holes in wall covered with magazine page. Power was out for hours and the flashlight batteries were corroded and not working. Only 1 TV would work. Overall needs a makeover.

It looks like these renters reviewed a different house. We regularly have our carpets shampooed, cover no holes in the walls with newsprint, carry DirecTV programming for two 40” flat-screen TVs (in LR and upstairs MBR), provide a bright, lond-lasting LED emergency light always charged in an outlet in the kitchen for the extraordinarily rare occasions of a blackout, and know of no electricity outage during the time of the stay of these guests. We also had no communication with these guests during their entire 4-night stay and until 11 days after their departure, when we received notice of this “review” (during which time we hosted other exceedingly satisfied guests).

SECLUDED

Nice house and beautiful location. Enjoyed the amazing views from the deck. However, we were put off by the owner's sticky notes and rules literally EVERYWHERE in the house. Every amenity in the house seemed to come with some sort of threat, i.e., being charged $10.00 for using a robe and not washing AND drying it. The threats made us unable to fully enjoy the house because we were afraid of making some "tragic mistake" resulting in us being charged extra fees. There was literally a sticky note for EVERYTHING. It was incredibly off-putting. Having said that, the house was comfortable, and the owner did allow us a late check-out, although we ended up playing it safe and leaving at the appointed time. Unfortunately, we will not be staying at the house again because of the oppressive amount of requirements. We were left wondering why the owner even rents the house out.

The vast majority of our guests find our few notes useful and understand their intent as being a helpful gesture. For example, it can be frustrating to activate someone else’s sound or TV system, or locate certain local phone numbers, or find out about snow removal and garbage pick-up details, and alike. We have indeed a note dealing with costs: rather than not providing our bath robes for our guests to use, we ask for a $10 charge if they use them but do not find the time to put them in the washer and dryer before their departure. Most of the few notes we post are actually imposed by the Tahoe Donner HOA, which is very apprehensive about short term vacation rentals and requires a myriad of information to be posted in rental homes, concerning safety issues and nuisance abatement. We welcome guests who appreciate being able to stay in our private home and understand the difference to renting a hotel accommodation.

Top of the mountain

This property is literally at the top of the ski slopes. You can see the lifts from the kitchen! Very cool place to stay at 7300’. Don’t stay here if you are sensitive to altitude, but definitely do stay here if you want the best views and snow around.

Stunning Mountaintop Vista

Alta Vista, the property name, is extremely accurate. It sits at the top of Skislope Way. The sunset and morning views are spectacular! The property is well appointed and maintained. The multilevel structure provides a unique experience to each visitor. This is a "not to miss" vacation experience.

You're not going to get a better Sierra view!

The living space was perfect for us four old geezers having a reunion. Great living room to gather and hold long, relaxing discussions (while occasionally glancing out the view). Well-equipped kitchen. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable, also with spectacular views to wake up to. There were a lot of notes everywhere, but we chalked that up to an owner wanting to maintain a beautiful home, and he does!

A-Mazing views, clean house, wonderful stay

What an Amazing home, the view from this house is spectacular!!! The owners were so great to work with us on a last minute vacation before my husband headed back to work (thank you again!)! The house is clean, and we had no troubles at all there. Feels like you are way out of town, but only about 5 minutes away. Very quite neighborhood. We will be back again! This is our new favorite vacation rental!

What great views! Truly a great home for the price with plenty of amenities. Our only regret was not staying at the home longer to be able to take advantage of the decks/BBQ, Sauna and Hot Tub. We'll definitely be renting the home again!

2nd time renters are very satisified with our time at the Alta Vista Chalet

This was our 2nd year in a row staying at the Alta Vista Chalet. We are extremely satisfied with this beautiful vacation home!! The owner is friendly, and easy to work with---plus, the home is well laid out with plenty of room, and it is fully stocked with everything you want while vacationing at a rental property. The master bedroom & bathroom are very comfortable, and the great room & kitchen are perfectly laid out for our family get togethers. There are three levels in this home--with comfy bedrooms, and nice bathrooms on each floor. There are decks on each level, and the view is one of the best in the Lake Tahoe Region. There is a nice two car garage, and a 3rd garage door for "extras". Plus, there is a sauna right off of the inside of the main garage, and a hot tub on the lower level deck. The bathtub on the lower level is large & it has "jets" in it. Both times we have rented here the home has been clean & well maintained. For guests that enjoy hiking--you can walk about 1/3rd of a mile up the street, and take off from a trailhead. We hiked every day, and really enjoyed that activity. We are so satisfied with the Alta Vista Chalet that we are planning to rent here every year!! This is a great value, and I strongly recommend the facility!!

We had been looking for a place in the mountains that would work well both for summer and winter vacations. Views and privacy were on the wish list. At the end of a showing tour, our agent remarked something like ' ... and there is one more place that came on the market just today, I haven't seen it myself.' Well, already when we drove into the driveway, we both knew instantly that this was the one! The views were out of this world -- and our minds immediately started spinning how one could remodel the house to maximize the views from each room! When we stood in the living room, we were literally taken away by the views. We had our offer in within the hour ...

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We then embarked on a fairly extensive remodeling activity, converting conventional railings to tempered glass railings that would not break up those stunning views; adding another wrap-around deck on the garage level; enlarging the small windows of the two main floor bedrooms to expansive sliding glass doors, leading to the new deck and opening up to the same stunning views from each bed; and converting the dead space underneath to another master bedroom suite, with its own view deck.
