The Bay View Cottage is one of three private homes located at Mermaid's Bay Boutique Estate. Located in the heart of Islamorada, just moments away from top attractions and restaurants, this secluded estate is situated directly on the bay. Secured by a gated entrance, the property sprawls over 3.5 meticulously maintained acres, with over 300 feet of bay frontage, protected dockage, and a resort-style pool and hot tub.

Nestled within one captivating property, our collection of vacation rentals at Mermaid's Bay includes three individual homes, each with their own allure and privacy. The homes may be rented individually or collectively and are available for weekly or longer rentals. (Note: This listing is for booking JUST the Bay View Cottage.)

The original Florida Keys charm has been preserved and tastefully updated throughout this romantic 2/1 '60s era cottage. Two sets of French doors off the open-concept living and dining area offer open-water views of the bay and lead out to a wrap-around porch that is shaded throughout the day by large trees. The cottage sleeps six with a king bed in the master bedroom and two queen beds in the second bedroom. A full bathroom with a shower and tub is located off the hallway.

Shared on the property is a resort-style pool and hot tub, cabana bathroom with private outdoor showers, sandy beach area, shaded tiki hut, water-front fire pit and a large boat basin. Easily access both the bay and ocean from our convenient location to enjoy every type of fishing the "Sport Fishing Capitol of the World" has to offer. Bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, hammocks, beach chairs, umbrellas and more are provided for your enjoyment. A small boat ramp is located on the property.

The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen, personal safe, linens including beach towels, a filtered water dispenser and a grill with complimentary propane. Complimentary paper towels, toilet paper, coffee and toiletries are provided to help you start your vacation.

Complimentary laundry service (wash and fold) at laundromat under the same ownership is provided to all renters. Please note that a washer and dryer is not located in the home.

Rentals are from Friday to Friday. Differing dates may be approved on a case-by-case basis.

Paradise

The property is gorgeous. This is a one-of-a-kind compound with approx. 250 feet of ocean frontage. The pool is beautiful, the cottage is so clean and beautifully decorated. Tony keeps the entire property well maintained. A piece of paradise. A truelly wonderful place to spend a vacation.

Peace in paradise

This is a gorgeous, private piece of paradise. The grounds are every bit as beautiful as the pics. The homes very nicely appointed and comfy. Tony the manager is awesome, kind and super helpful! The pool is magical(and I'm not a pool guy!) We couldn't have asked for a better oasis of beauty and calm, within easy walk of anything needed. Thanks Tony and family for this blessed place. Gorgeous property - resort like setting

We have been visiting the Keys for almost 20 years in a row. This property is gorgeous and amongst the top 2 most beautiful we have stayed at. It is spacious, has a resort like pool, breathtaking bay / sunset views, and tons of space to spread out. Great fishing, snorkeling, and kayaking from shore. Easy to rent and dock boat. Very clean facilities. Will be back.

Great stay

We have been coming to Islamorada for a few years and have stayed at various hotels. This was our first time staying at a VRBO property and it was fantastic. We stayed in the Bay View Cottage. The photos don't do it justice. Beautiful property and a great location. It's at MM 82 with all the restaurants and shopping nearby. The Bay View Cottage, where we stayed, had a beautiful view of the bay. We also had a perfect view every night of the sunset. The cottage was very clean. Tony met us upon arrival and showed us around. Super nice guy and very responsive. The grounds are immaculate. The pool was great to relax by...it has a waterfall and a hot tub! There is also a pool house with outdoor showers and restrooms. The property is very private as it has a secure gate in order to enter. Our cottage had a BBQ grill right outside the door so the nights we wanted to stay in and cook we did. If you rent or have a boat, there is a protected dock for you to put your boat. We rented kayaks and paddleboards and had them delivered to the property. There's a ramp leading into the bay thereby making it easy to launch them. At night, my wife and I would sit outside and look at stars then get our flashlights and shine them down in the water to check out all the marine life. There are all sorts of fish and we even saw a manatee swimming by one day. Did I say Tony was responsive? He is very resonpsive and just a super nice guy. The location is A+ and the property and cleanliness is A+. We will be back! Thanks Tony and April!

Excellent location with gated access. Very private. Beautiful view and easy access to Florida Bay and the ocean. Used the on-site ramp to launch my 25’ boat and kept it in the water in the protected dock area for the week. House was perfect for our family. Well stocked kitchen and abundant beach towels and linens. The grounds are immaculate and the pool area is superb. Highly recommend this location.

Amazing, we love this property

We have stayed at Mermaid Bay before and love it. The location is amazing, there are stores, restaurants and things to do within walking distance. The property is lovely and peaceful. We cannot speak more highly of Tony, he is wonderful. I highly recommend this entire property.
