It was a pleasure staying in the Sugarloaf Condo by Natureâs Rentals! We look forward to the next time we have the opportunity to stay here!
Highlights:
- Spacious bedrooms for families/large group!
- There was plenty of bedding, two toasters, two coffee makers, utensils, plates, and cups.
- Laundry in unit was great after getting caught in the rain
- Pool, golf, and beautiful scenery made the location fantastic! It was easy to navigate to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, etc.
- Next door neighborâs cat is a hunter, which was fascinating to watch each morning out the kitchen window
Areas of Improvement:
- The condo was without a few things that wouldâve been helpful for a large group: a large mixing bowl or any type of baking/casserole dish (round or square), and splatter guard (Iâm not sure what theyâre called) when youâre cooking with hot oil. My group made a quick trip to a nearby IGA to gather what we needed, though.
- The vacuum was old and left a burning smell after use (which was concerning) and we couldnât find a broom in the condo (it was in the shed outside)
- Ants in the kitchen (but there was a can of Raid under the sink)
- A pile of baseboard trim was behind the couch/into the dining area. Iâm sure theyâre hoping to replace/add trim but it was an annoyance for nosy kids that wanted to touch it.
- Not particularly kid-friendly, like other places we have stayed (no pack-n-play, step stool, games, or plastic cups/plates/bowls)
The condo suited our needs but there several things in need of repair (cabinet door falling off under sink, dishwasher nearly impossible to latch so we could run it). The carpet was badly stained which is a turn off to me. The location was good and the pool was nice for the kids.
This was a good location to visit the dunes and Glen Arbor. We liked how the townhouse had one full bath with each bedroom. The neighbors were very nice.
