Diamonds by the Sea est situé sur une des plus belles plages de sable blanc de Freeport. Les eaux cristallines sont plusieurs nuances de l'aqua et turquoise. Jours peuvent être dépensés simplement se détendre et profiter de la sérénité au Diamonds; Et après une journée sur la plage, où à plusieurs reprises, vous pouvez regarder les dauphins nager non loin de la côte, un grand barbecue sur votre terrasse, et un hamac est juste ce qui est nécessaire pour conclure une belle journée au paradis. Une courte promenade sur la plage de nous, plusieurs bars et restaurants de plage et également disponible sont des activités de sports nautiques, kayak, voile, etc. Nous sommes fiers d'être l'un des rares chalets de vacances avec la vie privée et encore moins de 5 miles est de Port Lucaya avec ses activités, Casino, restaurants, bars et boutiques. Nous sommes également fiers du fait que Diamonds est l'endroit où Keira Knightley a choisi de vivre et de profiter pendant plusieurs mois tout en filmant Pirates des Caraïbes II à Grand Bahama.
Le Cottage Lilac vous offre tout le confort de votre maison car il est clé en main et est équipé de tout ce dont vous auriez besoin. Apportez simplement vos effets personnels, nous avons d'excellents bars et restaurants de plage ainsi que des activités nautiques à distance de marche de la plage de Diamonds by the Sea. Et même si une voiture est recommandée, ce n'est pas un must car il existe un moyen de transport à quelques minutes à pied de nous. Rien n’est loin à Freeport, les épiceries, les magasins, le casino, les restaurants, etc. sont à moins de 5 minutes en voiture de nous. Et la meilleure partie est que vous êtes pratiquement sur votre propre plage privée, sablonneuse et vierge, lorsque vous souhaitez vous évader.

Ideal Vacation

Our visit to the Lilac Cottage was much more than we had expected. Everything was neat and clean inside with lush greenery on the grounds,, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful beach just steps away and the restaurants and shops in Port Lucaya. Gladys welcomed us like old friends, and we can't wait to go back to Diamonds by the Sea!

Absolutely fantastic

We just returned from staying at this beautiful property. Clean, bright and literally steps from an 8 mile stretch of pristine beach. The grounds are beautifully manicured, the beach was raked every day and is basically private (most days we were the only people for miles). Gladys (the owner) was very responsive to all of our needs and was a wonderful host. So many things to do on the island that we had no problem filling up our days beyond reading on the beach. Highly recommended.

Paradise in the Bahamas

Two couples shared the Lilac Cottage at Diamonds by the Sea. The cottage was charmingly decorated with tropical furnishings and art. Just steps from the most gorgeous powdery sand beach, we spent our days walking that beach or lolling under a palm tree. Sunworshippers were pleased to find the beach rarely inhabited. We swam in the crystal ocean water and collected shells and coral. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Diamonds by the Sea. Highly recommended!

AMAZING!

This was our second time visiting Diamonds by the Sea and we have loved every moment of it! The property is beautiful, secluded along with a private beach just a short walk from the deck, where you can enjoy the amazing sunrises and sunsets. The house has everything you could possibly need for a stay including a washer/dryer, A/C and cable (although we never turned the TV on once because paradise is right outside of your door). We will be back in April again and cannot wait! It is a nice break from the COLD New England winters and we look forward to our trip every year!

Wonderful vacation!!

My husband and I are frequent travelers and this is by far one of the most relaxing places we've ever stayed. Our party consisted of my husband and myself, a baby (celebrating a 1st birthday!!) and 2 grandparents. The Lilac Cottage was absolutely adorable! Its a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath that was very clean, spacious, well maintained, and tastefully decorated. The cottage was pretty much equipped with everything we needed for the week (towels, fridge, toaster, pots, pans, silverware, coffee maker, microwave, cups) and everything was in good working condition. We rented a van for the week as grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping are quite a distance from the cottage. Our first night in town we stopped at Solomons Grocery store and picked up all our essentials for breakfast and lunch and we usually ate dinner out in the town. Despite being quite a distance from the rest of town, the location of the cottage was perfect as it was far away from noise and just yards from the beach. We spent just about every morning walking the short distance to the private beach area to relax and snorkel which was awesome as opposed to having to drive to a beach. Beach chairs, umbrella, and towels were provided which were wonderful. We only got to meet Gladys (the owner of the property) briefly since she was leaving on her family vacation when we arrived but she was very nice and always responded to emails and questions very promptly. The housekeeper and groundskeeper for the property were on site during our stay and were both so friendly and always helpful when we had questions. All in all our vacation was everything we were hoping for and so much more. Its hard to capture the lovely essence of this place in photos but I would recommend this place to anyone and cant wait to return again!!!

Gated and location

The lilac cottage accommodated our family of five with no problem. Beach access was amazing and being in a gated community was a plus. The host gave great recommendations. The only downside was that the pictures need updating. Signs of wear and tear throughout are noticeable. Being in this Bahamian paradise we spent a lot of time outdoors. A little TLC to the deck area as well as the beach chairs would go along way. Although Freeport is not what it used to be we enjoyed our stay at Diamonds by the Sea!

Classic beach living

The lilac cottage was perfect for it family of 6. We surf casted from the shore enjoyed the wonderful beach and had a vacation of a life time. Christmas dinner at Berthas blue dingy was a lovely island treat. Gladys is great at communications and very warm and helpful. Coming back very soon.

Absolutely Paradise!

My family and I rented the Lilac and Key Lime houses for our vacation. It was very clean and felt like it was our home away from home! The owner was very friendly and if we needed anything, there was no hesitation on their part! We would be very happy to go there again! There was a total of 9 of us in the two houses and there was room for more! Thank you so much for letting us stay at Diamonds By The Sea! It was a very memorable vacation!

Beautiful tropical escape!!

Lovely, secluded property right on the beach. The grounds are meticulously maintained with access to the water down a pretty path. The cottage has three colorfully decorated bedrooms and I can't say enough about the living room and kitchen areas! Everything you could need is provided, from cooking utensils to beach towels and chairs. Really, all you need to bring to Diamonds is a bathing suit! The owner is a wonderful woman named Gladys who makes everyone feel welcome, and graciously takes care of any concerns. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, a fun bar, and snorkeling right off the beach! Our families love going to Diamonds and we have made it an annual destination for three years now, with more to come. Can't recommend it highly enough!

A Truly Great Place

We've been coming to Diamonds by the Sea cottages for six years and this past year was as great as our first year there. We stayed just over five weeks in February /March, 2015 and enjoyed every moment. The Lilac Cottage is nicely appointed with everything one would want both inside and outside the house. Three bedrooms gave us ample room to have friends and family visit without ever feeling cramped. One of the best features of Diamonds is it's location, next to one of the best beaches anywhere with warm waters and, for those who like to snorkel, plenty of fish and coral to explore. Gladys, the owner, is a sweetheart who will do whatever needs to be done to guarantee a fulfilled, enjoyable stay on Grand Bahamas. While some visitors don't rent a vehicle, we always have as most attractions and grocery stores are ten minutes or further away. That said, four beach bars / restaurants are within walking distance, Banana Bay being our favourite. In short, we really enjoy our visits to Diamonds-by-the-Sea, we aren't able to go in 2016 and we'll miss it... a lot.

Cottage life in paradise

We actually stayed in the twin to this property, Key Lime Cottage, and loved it. After spending a month here I have no hesitation in saying you won't find a prettier setting anywhere on Grand Bahama. The rooms and generously supplied linens are immaculate, the bougainvillea glorious, and the beach is right there! Can't wait to go back.

Two Months in Paradise South

My wife and I have just returned from spending two months in the Lilac Cottage at Diamonds-by-the-Sea and the experience was simply wonderful. We stayed in the Topaz Cottage in 2010 for one month and enjoyed it so much we returned to Diamonds-by-the-Sea again in February and March of 2011. The beach is within steps of the Lilac Cottage and the house is decorated tastefully with all the comforts and needs that one would want. The Cottage has three bedrooms which came in handy when company arrived from the frozen north to enjoy some time in the much warmer climate of the Grand Bahamas. This was our third time to the Island and the availability of good grocery stores and eating establishments has much improved since our first trip in 2006. We both enjoy snorkeling and there is a small reef adjacent to the property that provides a good opportunity to see many species of fish found in the area. Our snorkeling highlights on the Island included turtles, eagle rays and sharks, which provided a bit of excitement. Gladys, the owner of Diamonds-by-the-Sea, is a wonderful lady who does her best to see that any concerns and / or needs of her guests are addressed. She lives in her house on the property so her presence ensures everything runs smoothly. We highly recommend the property and would encourage anyone looking for a restfull vacation, while still having restaurants and entertainment nearby, to consider Diamonds-by-the Sea...we've already booked again for next winter....thanks Gladys.

SECOND WONDERFUL VISIT THIS YEAR

After a most enjoyable stay in May, we had to return for another taste of Paradise at Diamonds bythe Sea. It is a perfet place to lose yourself in the Carribean, relaxing and experiencing what Freeport/Lucaya is all about, offering the activities of Nassau and the laid-back lifestyle of the Out Islands. The accomadtions are perfection and the hostess is more than gracious and so much fun. On this trip we met heerr assistant who was most accommodatring and helpful. The reality is better than the description. This is a true home away from home and cannot wait to return.

Esperienza negativa!

Il cottage è grazioso ma purtroppo abbiamo trovato l'aria condizionata rotta ed è stato impossibile viverci visto il caldo asfissiante che c'è alle Bahamas.La proprietaria non era presente, abbiamo chiamato più volte la responsabile che ha risolto il problema per 2 giorni, dopo di che si è di nuova rotta poichè è molto vecchia.Considerando il prezzo consistente non si può accettare una vacanza dove si soffoca dal caldo!
