Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed here to ski at Lutsen, and it was a perfect spot. We could hop right on the hill with a less than 5 minute walk. The condo was clean and our kids loved the pool and ping pong table. Joanne was very responsive and top of things, which we appreciated. Super friendly and any questions I had, she responded very promptly. Thanks for great visit!

Great Stay

Fantastic ski-in/out location

Loved this place. Excellent communication with the host. Only thing that would have made it better was more snow (can’t fault the host for that though). The ski-in/out condo made it so easy and we were able to come back each day for lunch and return to ski!

Wonderful location for skiing! This modern condo with some amenities was a great place to come back to after a long day of skiing. Will return!

Perfect location and loved the condo. Easy ski in/out, nice pool and hot tub. The suite was so cozy and warm! Stylish and felt so welcoming. Owners were easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful space

Beautiful space and great view! The kitchen is well appointed, they also have some extra toiletries if you forget any basics, and the good stock of firewood was a great bonus. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and got back to us quickly. We'd definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay in Lutzen.

Very nice accommodations! The only thing missing was towel and wash cloth for the kitchen. Also, a small leak on kitchen sink. Great location! We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to the North Shore.

Winter Wonderland.

The layout and decor is the Hygge Suite made our stay very comfortable and we felt right at home. The view of the mountain and the wood fireplace make it hard to leave the room! Everything you need for a great stay is provided. Just be ready to show up, relax, and love the Hygge experience.

Great local ski Vacation

The unit is located in a great spot, right next to parking spot and same building as pool/hot tub. Don’t be surprised if your parking space is occupied by folks using the pool…front desk folks cleared that up. Unit was very clean, loved the decor and the main area is bigger than what photos show. The weather was great for us, 13+ inches of fresh snow. Made for great snowboarding and learning to ski lessons. Being located so close, ski in/out was a luxury for us.

Beautiful unit but disappointed in cleanliness

This is a beautiful, well decorated unit in a great location. We were disappointed in the cleanliness and even more disappointed when we communicated the issues with the owner and were told the cleaning crew would come back to do a more thorough cleaning and they did not. When we first arrived at the unit, the main door was propped open by the deadbolt, leaving the unit accessible to anyone walking by. We assumed it was left open accidentally by the cleaning crew, and it was more obvious as we looked around that the cleaning was not finished and it gave us an uneasy feeling the rest of our visit, wondering if the sheets had been changed and/or unit was actually cleaned/disinfected. There were dog hairs on the floor and furniture, dog food on the floor in bathroom, coffee grounds still in coffee maker, 1 creamer in dish, full load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher, fireplace full of ashes and basket for firewood empty (listing says it would be filled). Only one small bar of soap for 2 people for 4 days and one washcloth (plenty of towels). The counters had dried food stuck on and the frig door and handle were filthy. We shared our concerns with the property owner who responded promptly and told us in two different messages the cleaners would be back. They did not come back and we received no follow up. Again this is a beautiful unit and property but we do not feel it was cleaned which just left us feeling uneasy.

Originally from the UK, we now live in the Twin Cities, MN with our two Cockapoos Molly and Phoebe.

Jo is a former Marketing Director, but is now a full time property manager / real estate investor, and Harv works as a Global IT Leader for an engine company.

We love the outdoors, hiking with our dogs, spending time with our horse Gucci, snowboarding or cross-country skiing.

We started The Hygge Suite brand of vacation rentals in 2020 when we saw a gap in the market for high quality rentals that are dog friendly in beautiful locations. We recognized the need for people to get away from their busy lives, even if just for a few days.

The word "hygge" is Danish and means to spend quality time with loved ones. That's what our brand of vacation rentals is all about.

We loved the views from the balcony and the large kitchen for the size of condo. Also great that it's ski in ski out. And best of all, it's now fully renovated.
