With a balcony accessible by the living room and master bedroom, guests staying in Shorewood 403 enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and its white sandy beaches. After hours in the surf, vacationers return from the ocean via the private beach walkway and then dip into the oceanfront swimming pool or a seasonally heated spa. Toddlers have a separate wading pool. Pool is Heated March 1 - April 30 and Oct 1 - November 30. Shorewood is a five story elevator building located in South Forest Beach. Among the amenities offered throughout Hilton Head Island, Shorewood is two blocks from the Coligny Beach Market, a quaint downtown area that offers guests a wide selection of restaurants, shopping venues, and entertainment for all ages. King bed in the master bedroom, two twins in bedroom 2, and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room.

Incredible view! I have stayed at Shorewood several times over the years, and this was one of my favorite stays. It is amazing to wake up and look out to an unobstructed view of the ocean!

We had a great stay. Everything was exactly as advertised. Room was clean and had a great view. The location on the island was super handy. Beach was amazing. The pool and hot tub were excellent.

Disappointed in Shorewood 403

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at various villas at Shorewood and this was the first time we were disappointed with the villa. First off we love Shorewood for its location, beach accessibility and great pool. Our oceanfront villa 403 had incredible views and for the most part was livable. The disappointing aspects were primarily that some of the furniture was dated and what you might expect to find at someones garage sale and the master bathroom is not what you would expect for what you are paying for an oceanfront villa. The master shower has moldy caulking, hard water and dirt stains on the tile, shower doors that are old rusted/moldy and falling apart, tiles cracked and a corroded shower head. Trim molding near the shower and around the bathroom door is also rotted in areas with shoddy caulking repairs attempted. There was also a clump of hair in the drain when we arrived so the cleaning wasnt the greatest. The master bathroom definitely needs a renovation. Other than that, we made the best of our stay and enjoyed it. A general update of this villa would be nice to bring it up to the standards of others we have stayed at. Seashore Vacations is always good to work with and everything went smoothly with the reservation and check in. We always look forward to returning to Shorewood but most likely not to Villa 403.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location is unbearable and the condo is very nice. We experienced an issue during our stay, but it was promptly addressed and corrected.

Great oceanfront complex, very disappointing unit

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has been staying at Shorewood for more than 10 years, staying in several different units. Unit 403 has by far been our most disappointing stay, and we will absolutely NOT choose this unit again, nor can we recommend to anyone else until the owners make some much needed upgrades.First, the 2 twin beds in the secondary bedroom do not appropriately fit on their frames. I sat on the end of one to talk to my daughter and the mattress flew up into the air. My teen son got out of bed and stepped down right onto the exposed corner of the bed frame causing him to get a large gash in the bottom of his foot.The bathrooms are so outdated, with old sliding glass doors that are so dirty the doors don't slide well. There's mildew along the grout and tile of both bathrooms as well. In the primary bathroom, the water must leak under the floor as after our first night there we could hear swooshing water under our feet/floor outside the bathroom. We suspect there's likely a significant mold problem under the flooring.Kitchen appliances are old and need replacing. The dishwasher was so dirty and dingy inside, we opted to hand wash all our dishes. The oven door doesn't close properly, if you lean against it, the oven light flickers on and off. The washer and dryer sound terrible. The dryer is not working properly and sounds like it's going to explode when in use. After one use, we had 3 items that got stuck in the dryer, caught in the drum. My daughter's shorts were torn, a pair of mine had black grease marks on them where they were caught, and the ties of my husband's brand new swim trunks were ripped and caught as well. We obviously opted not to do any more laundry after that fiasco. We did not call the rental company with any of our complaints as there was nothing they could do to fix any of the above issues during our stay. For the amount we paid to stay in 403, we absolutely expected better and are highly disappointed.

Great vacay condo

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The location on the property was great. We could watch dolphins swim morning and night from our balcony, close to pool and beach as well. The pool area is wonderful as well. The location was also close walking or biking to Coligny plaza shops and restaurants. The condo was very clean. The master bath could use some attention to fix the shower doors and have some towel hooks on the back of the door. Property management was very responsive for questions. I’d definitely recommend to others or stay again.

Hilton Head Oceanfront & convenient

This property is located walking distance to the shops & restaurants at Coligny Plaza. Shorewood is a nice property - well maintained, nice pool, & OCEANFRONT! Unit 403 has been updated as much as possible within the constraints of the original floor plan. Clean & functional with a comfortable king-size master bed.

4 MOTHER'S LONG WEEKEND TRIP

4 longtime friends celebrated mothers day with a long weekend before we went home to our kids. We enjoyed the pool, the beach and the close location to many restaurants and shopping. We rode bikes everywhere we needed to go. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. We was a late check in. Picking up our information was no problem. The only issue we had was there was no gate code given to us to access our condo. we had to call and get the code when we got to the gate. I am thankful the after hours person was able to help with code. The view from the living room and the balcony was so beautiful. We enjoyed our coffee every morning sitting out on the balcony. The beach was not to crowded in out area. Tiki hut is a short distance to get a drink and had live music. We definitely will be back.

There was an adequate supply of dishes, paper towels, toilet paper etc. Bedding was clean and there were enough towels for our stay. The location was perfect. We were in walking distance to food and entertainment, and various bike paths.The views of the ocean from the living room, master bedroom and deck were fabulous. I would definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately they were putting a new roof on our unit’s building so the sidewalk access to the pool and beach was blocked most of the week. Though we understood it was a safety issue, it was an annoyance. The unit was great, lovely view. I will say it would be nice to have a full length mirror in the bedroom and better pear knives for cutting fruits and vegetables. Minor things to complain about but overall we had a great experience!

The convenience of location, view and amenities were wonderful. Also, high praise to the management company for their professionalism and helpfulness. The only complaint we had was although the condo looked cleaned there is a slight need for improvement.

Needs paint, new furniture and general sprucing up to match the current cost of Ocean Front rentals. Could be a gem with some effort. They actually had duct tape holding down the floor transition from the hall to master bedroom. Won’t rent this unit again until updates made. Loved Seashores use of VayKGear. Great experience with them ! !!!

We were delighted to find someone with a unit available and willing to rent for a 3-day stay! Property was great! Unit was very clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. Nice pool and convenient beach access. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony during sunrise and sunset. Only downside - the light colored living room furniture was worn and soiled. I would suggest the owners consider slipcovers.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love the Shorewood condos because of their location and views. This unit was perfect. Very clean with a well stocked kitchen. The living room furniture definitely needs replaced! There's no support in either the coaches or chairs and I had a backache every night. My other complaint, common in most condos, is living room lighting. Three way lamps with one way bulbs. Hard to do serious reading or crafts at night.
