Our "RIVERSIDE" Log Cabin can provide you with a Smoky Mountain family vacation, a romantic honeymoon, or a perfect mountain getaway. You will enjoy privacy, comfort, and convenience in a beautiful log home overlooking The Little River in Townsend.

Our cabin is overlooking The Little River in the heart of Townsend, Tennessee, the most laid-back and relaxing community in the Great Smoky Mountains. Also known as 'The Peaceful Side of the Smokies.' Just 2-miles from your cabin door lies the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and scenic Cades Cove.

This cabin is family owned and operated and is a part of Cabins on Little River , LLC We provide personal service making sure every need is to your satisfaction. Our family has lived and grown up in the Townsend area all of our lives. We look forward to meeting you and helping make our cabin your perfect vacation getaway for years to come.

Perfect for us

This cabin was the perfect size for us and a great location to all the fun activities! One suggestion to the host is maybe having some blankets handy. Already booked another stay for the summer.

Quiet Getaway

The cabin is cozy with a smart floor plan. The kitchen was good sized and very functional compared to a lot of cabins in the area. The concrete area by the creek was the primary reason we chose to stay here and the small rapids downstream gave just enough white noise to make evenings on the river perfect.

Beautiful, clean, well appointed cabin

My sister and I enjoyed our stay at the Riverside Cabin. Richard answered all of our questions quickly and it was great communicating with a person and not someone completely unconnected with the house! It had everything we needed, was extremely clean and comfortable. Also close to anything you want to do in Townsend or a short beautiful drive to Pigeon Forge or the GSMNP. Thank you, Richard!

Little River tranquility

This is a perfect cozy cabin for 2 couples. It was nice and clean. We appreciated the comfortable king-size bed in both bedrooms. The deck looking out to the river was great, and the hottub was clean. It took 40 to 45 to drive to Gatlinburg. It was definitly worth the drive to be out of hubbub at such a peaceful cabin by the river. I never know what is provided when I rent a VRBO. There were plenty of pots and pans and coffee makers, etc. Error on the side of caution and bring your own kitchen aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc. There is a grocery close by for anything you forget.

Great Cabin!

This cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. It's definitely on the quiet side of the Smokeys but within a short distance of the excitement of Pigeon Forge. The cabin was very clean and Mr. Carnes was great at responding back to answer any questions. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect spot in Townsend!

Perfect location, close to everything in Townsend yet feels secluded and peaceful. Riverside access is wonderful, was my wife's favorite daily activity! About a million fireflies at night, just a great stay. Cabin is clean and comfortable, well-appointed. We loved it!

Off the beaten path

Our stay at the Riverside cabin was a much needed getaway. The cabin was clean and had a great view of the river, allowing me to try a little fly fishing. With it being on the other side of the river from Townsend, there was less traffic noise and people to deal with and still allowed quick access to town. Just outside of Cades Cove we were able to enjoy the wildlife and hiking everyday. Thanks for a wonderful stay !!

Loved this cabin and the area!

Beautiful clean cabin right on the Little River. Very quiet and serene! Cant wait for our next visit. Lots of things to do in the area, many restaurants, and nearby grocery store. Drove up to Brushy State penitentiary for a visit- very cool!

Very peaceful and family friendly

It’s a wonderful short drive to the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. After a long day at Dollywood go back to peace and quiet, go fly fish the river and regain sanity, lol. Townsend is right around the corner with a few wonderful restaurants and an IGA for some grocery’s if needed. The Little River Fly shop is a must visit for fisherman. We’ll be back 110%!!

Beautiful cabin, beautiful location!

Loved being right on the Little River! We stayed in August and the cabin was perfect for 4 adults (my spouse, my parents, and me). This is the cleanest property we have ever experienced. It has a well equipped kitchen, the beds are very comfortable, and there was plenty of seating for all of us both inside and out on the porch overlooking the river. The directions to the cabin were spot on and Richard checked in with us the first morning to make sure everything was as we expected. Check out instructions were simple and not excessive like some places we've stayed, which we appreciated since we left before 7 a.m. If I could buy this cabin, I would. Thank you Richard, we had a great vacation!
