Great place and location

This home was perfect for a family trip, lots of space and walking distance to the beach. It was clean and comfortable and we'd book it again.

50th Wedding Anniversary Family Celebration

We enjoyed the week with beach time, visiting Portland, eating out and carrying out, flying kites, doing crafts, and making memories.

Beach vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sea Breeze with our children & grandchildren! The property was clean and spacious enough for our large family. There is easy access to the (uncrowded) Pine Point Beach, which we visited daily. We made a couple of trips into Portland to visit the Children's Museum, local breweries, and the Old Port. We enjoyed the local 4th of July parade & activities in Scarborough! Any issues we had during our stay were quickly resolved by the property manager. We would definitely rent here again!!

Perfect in every way!

We are counting the days until we return next year! This house has everything and more. Luxury at its finest. The owner must have little children because they have equipped the home with several child proofing items. The highlight of the rental however is actually the property management company. They are top notch and go over and beyond to ensure your stay is excellent.

Great Location But Some Concerns

Great location and well maintained property adjacent to a terrific beach especially for kids. Well stocked kitchen with all the equipment and appliances you need although some of the burners on the stove were not operable. More games are needed for kids. After we made full payment the check-in instructions indicated that no blankets or comforters would be provided due to Covid. This was not indicated on the VRBO add for the property or the original Bayley confirmation. This was a real inconvenience since our party was traveling from CA. Upon checking with Bayley, they actually could make them available for an additional charge. Given the price for this property they should have been included without an additional charge. rather than nickel and diming us. We've rented high end properties all over the world and never experienced such a heavy handed and annoying fine schedule for garbage, parking, check-in and out and other things associated with a property.

Amazing property; Amazing town; Amazing beaches; Amazing trip!!!

I was lucky enough to find this property for rent as late as April 2021. All I can figure is that there was a cancellation because there is NO WAY this property should be available for any week during the summer. It is a gorgeous house on a private block (with a gate) in a great town (Scarborough), only steps to the beach and within walking distance of several good restaurants. First the house......It is HUGE!! We had 9 people (3 married couples, one woman and two young men (20 something sons of the other guests). Everyone had private space, no more than 2 people per bathroom (4 full baths & one half). The kitchen was wonderful (we ate in 6 of the 7 nights....cooking 4 and ordering in 2). We used the grill a lot and it was great. The outdoor fireplace was awesome and we used it nearly every night. Just a beautiful property that you won't regret renting!! The ONLY thing missing was one of those outdoor showers for when we returned from the beach. There are two hoses for watering the lawn, so it would be easy to install an outdoor shower and they would be well served to do so. Everyone loves the outdoor shower!!! As for the town (Scarborough).....it is awesome!! There are plenty of restaurants close by. We tried the BBQ Garage (good food and great value.....we got the take-out special for 10 people ($175 or so) and it was a ton of food and lasted days), and we went to the Clambake and Salty Bay, (both within walking distance and delicious). We also took a lobster boat cruise and the 6 of us who went got to pull traps and keep whatever was in them and we went home with 7 lobsters. And the captain gave us a tour of the Maine coastline for many miles. We also went to Old Orchard Beach a couple of times and it is cheesy and wonderful.....perfect old boardwalk town. We took day trips to Kennebunkport (4 of us), Portland (4 of us) and Boston (4 of us for a Red Sox game), all of which were nice. The beach was awesome (we are beach lovers). There was seaweed a couple of days, which was kind of yucky, but it washed away and the town cleaned it up. Most days were perfect beach days. Some or all of us went down to the beach every day for at least 4 hours, so that is great fun. Overall, this property was AWESOME & AMAZING!!! If we ever some back, we would stay there in a heartbeat (assuming it is available). Rent this place if you can!! One last thing.....we emailed or texted Bayley's LLC (owner) and got responses within minutes. Always a good thing!

Overall Lovely

Sea Breeze is a house meant for hosting ~ and it had a great collection of gear in the kitchen as well as beach related gear had we so chosen; given that we were there for Christmas the beach was best for walking on. The shining star of the show however were the people at Bayley Vacation Rentals. We arrived on 12/23/22 in the middle of a monster storm, flooding and then closing the access road to the house. Monique, Allison and the team kept us in the loop and then, when we were able to get there but were hopelessly lost due to the lack of visibility, talked us to the front door. A nicer and more considerate group of people we could not imagine. They brought in supplies in case the power went out ~ it didn't ~ and responded to our few glitches quickly. The house is large, able to handle our needs with 2 energetic kids, older adults and those of us in between. Unloading the cars, in the middle of the storm, was easy-peasy as we were able to do so through the garage, staying out of the rain and whipping wind. The house was super clean, easy to navigate and had some choices for seating. Thank you for a lovely Christmas.
