This private 1200 sq ft guest home is brand new (completed in Dec 2020). Everything is new, including all appliances, bathrooms, bedding and a fully stocked kitchen. First class experience with attention to detail that you would expect from a 5-star property. What makes this home truly special is the stamped concrete private entry and driveway. Large living space and bedrooms, beautifully tiled bathrooms, and the beautiful neighborhood of Alamo. Close proximity to Iron horse trail and 680 freeway.

This place was wonderful in every way except for the front gate which was difficult to open. I definitely would stay here again but it would be nice if the wood gate was more user friendly.

Very pleasant stay overall. We had stayed there last year as well and liked it. The property is very conveniently located right off the freeway, which also leads to some occasional freeway noise. Overall we like this property and would use it again in the future.

Spacious and well presented accommodation

We had a great stay it was a perfect location between San Francisco and Sonoma for our stay in the area. Walnut Creek was also very close by with great restaurants and shops. The guest house was very spacious for our family of 4 and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Perfect location and size

The property was a perfect location near family in Walnut Creek. Loved the girls could be upstairs with their own bathroom. The place was new and was pleasantly surprised there was a washer and dryer on site to do laundry during our stay. Definitely would stay again if we visited the area.

Perfect for 4 of us

Super clean, excellent Wi-Fi, and everything we needed for our party of four. We look forwarded to staying here again the next time we are visiting family in the area. Hosts Sayar and Sina were very helpful and responsive, even offering to bring down an extra desk and chair from their house next door so our daughter could work from the house.

Perfect for families and guests

We were impressed with how thoroughly equipped and well thought-out this newly-built home was for guests. Everything felt warm and home-like. Great neighborhood and the gated driveway was a plus. Rooms and bathrooms were well separated and private. With easy access to the Walnut Creek area I would stay here again.

Perfect place for the in-laws to stay while visiting

This property was wonderful! Will definitely stay here again. Property exactly as listed and very clean. Access in and out of the property is tricky but we handled it. Great access to downtown Walnut Creek and for graduation in Danville. Owners responded quickly to all emails and were flexible with times. Thanks for a great visit with family!

Great stay

We had a nice stay in this accomodation. It was bigger then what we expected in the pictures, we had a lot of room for the kids to go around. There is two bathroom and the beds were confortables. The location is near the highway to go to San Francisco and there is a lot of choices in Walnut Creek for restaurants just 2-3 minutes away in car. There is a nice cycle path just beside to go cycling or walking.

Sure, we may recommend this place for family vacations.

The house we have rented was really nice place to stay. It has everything you need, very clean and convenient. It located just a few feet away from famous Iron Horse Trail. The best of it were owners of this property. They are super nice people always ready to help if you need anything. Thank you!

Spacious and Comfortable

This accommodation is a separate guest house on the owners' lot. It is spacious and comfortable and is well equiped with all a small family needs for a great stay. The location is great with restaurants, grocery stores, and retail of all sorts in abundance nearby. Access to expressways and local bus to BART station couldn't be more convenient. We enjoyed our stay here and expect to rent again for future visits to the area.

Great location minutes from San Fran and Berkeley

Great house and all you need for 3 to 4 adults. Great location very close to Walnut Creek and all of the shopping and restaurants. It's a guest house but you do not feel uncomfortable or like you are intruding on the owners. It's also nice to have the owners so close if you need anything at the house. Overall very satisfied and would rent again.

Alamo home

This is a real great fine. The home is ideal for a single or couple with children. Great for anybody visiting Contra Costa County. 30 minutes from Oakland. Offers all you need in a home away from home. I will return.

Lovely place, and the host was open to suggestions

This place is lovely and cozy. I sent recommendations to Sina to suggest a few things to make it even more comfortable, and she was appreciative. These include white noise machines in the bedroom to drown out freeway noise, and a few items for the kitchen. Would definitely stay there again.

Alamo house is a great place!

We had a comfortable stay at Alamo House hosted by Sayar and Sina. The smart tv was not working on our arrival and Sayar got the tv changed out quickly. The property was clean and well stocked with kitchen items. The only negative of the property is the gate that must be manually opened and closed to drive in the driveway. We would stay again as the gate was only a once or twice a day issue!

Another great stay at Alamo guesthouse

This was our second stay here and we are returning next year. Sayar and Sina are the nicest people — very friendly, helpful, and responsive hosts! With any question or concern we had, we knew we could count on them for a quick response. The guest house is next to their home but feels completely independent and private. Parking in the driveway behind a gate is a bonus. The two-level house is spacious, attractive, and very clean. The nearby Iron Horse Trail is ideal for walking, running, and biking. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful Stay at Alamo Guest House

This beautiful guest house was only about two years old, well-appointed and comfortable. It was very clean and generously stocked. We appreciated the convenience of the private driveway for parking, two full bathrooms, two bedrooms, and the full-size washer & dryer in a separate area off the kitchen. The nearby walking/biking trail was a bonus. Although we enjoyed total privacy at the guest house, the owners were right next door if we needed them. What delightful hosts! They were so friendly and welcoming, and responded quickly if we ever had a question. It was truly a pleasure getting to know them a bit. We have booked another stay here and are already looking forward to it!

Alamo guest house

Everything was clean. For being close to the highway, we didn't really hear the traffic. It still felt private, even though the main house was right behind us. We are not used to houses being that close together, but everything was fine. Plenty of room. Replies to questions were prompt. Our only complaint was the tight space between the highway and the gate and the limited turnaround space in the driveway (to avoid backing out onto the highway).

Disappointing and Dirty

The home was beautiful, however, far from being clean. There was hair that did not belong to us in both showers and on a shelving unit in the downstairs bathroom. The floors upstairs were full of dust and who knows what else under the beds which resulted in us keeping our luggage in the closet on the shelves. Every top surface in the upstairs bathroom was covered in dust. Second step edge trim down from the upstairs was loose resulting in an almost fall on my behalf. We placed a basket on the step as a reminder before one of us did fall. The vents in the bathrooms were completely clogged with dust including the air intake vent above the furnace room. The kitchen table has crumbs in all of the grooves. The washing machine leaked water when we did a load of towels which did not seem to be clean upon our arrival. On our last night we discovered roaches. We chose to not call attention to this due to the fact my mother is in the early stages of Dementia and the trip was hard enough on her as it was. The property owners behaved just as we predicted by accusing us of bringing the roaches with us which is untrue and offensive. I questioned the can of Ant and Roach spray which they claim was for ants. Funny thing...they never did and still have not asked me WHERE we saw the roaches. If I were a property owner, that would have been my main concern. Since we figured this was the response we would get, I could and would not get into a debate about this with my mom there.

We are sorry to see this review and a dissatisfied guest. However, in the future, please do reach out to the host during your stay if you have complaints and are requesting a discount. We are definitely surprised because (1) We have a 5 star review from over 80 guests, specially for being clean (2) we hire professional cleaners (3) we do a walk through when the cleaners are done and we get a set of 20+ pictures with all of the details (4) guests stayed right before you and right after you and had wonderful things to say about the cleanliness of the guest house (5) there is no sign of roach at all. As mentioned to you, the spray was for ants over the summer. You are right about the trim of the stairs being a bit loose. The next guest was nice enough to inform us right away and we had it fixed. Honesty is the best policy and we genuinely care about and enjoy hosting.
