This second floor condo is ideally located in close proximity to the beach, offering the luxury of easy access to the sun, sand, and gulf. As you enter the condo, you are greeted by a warm and inviting living room, adorned with comfortable furnishings and open-concept vaulted ceilings. The living room provides a cozy space for relaxation and socializing with family and friends. Adjacent to the kitchen is a family room, offering an additional area for recreation or simply unwinding after a day at the beach. The condo features three well-appointed bedrooms, providing ample space for everyone. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, providing privacy and convenience. The other two bedrooms share a conveniently located second bathroom. One of the highlights of this condo is the presence of both a front and back balcony. The front balcony offers a view of the surrounding neighborhood, while the back balcony provides a more private space, perfect for sipping a morning coffee. The overall stay was really great! Location was perfect. The neighbors had very loud dogs barking all day and night but whatever. The only real gripe I have is that the pool was older and needs maintenance and was definitely not heated what so ever and we were there during Thanksgiving weekend so it should have been and we were very disappointed because it was so cold to be on the beach. The outside was very dated and faded but the inside was very cozy and modern. People complained about the cable not working and we experienced the same thing so we just unpluggled them and plugged them back in and viola that worked. We did enjoy our stay but it could have been. The owners were very accommodating and would stay again

Chateau La Mer visit

My family had a great time. Check in was easy and the condo had everything one would expect. We had no issues with noise or parking. A private beach was a couple of minutes walk from the condo. Restaurants and stores were a short drive away creating a very convenient vacation.

Best place and location ever.

This was our first time in Destin and using a service like this. The pictures were accurate and the description was spot on about everything. Loved the private access to the beach and the space in the condo. Will be renting again next year if available.

Very clean and roomy

Great location and enjoyed the private beach access. The unit was very clean if not a little outdated. King bed was comfy but the queen was not. No complaints about the twin beds. Would certainly stay there again.

Great layout and location and check in was easy. The unit had a weird smell. Zero dish cleaning supply. Toaster didn’t work, quarter round on the bedroom slider was not attached and door was almost impossible to open. Master toilet would not flush, it stayed overflowed. WiFi was terrible.

We enjoyed our stay! Our code didn’t work upon check in but they were quick to respond. The place was as expected, although furniture could be updated. Great location. Very quick walk to the beach. We would stay here again.

The place was fine and worked for our needs. There were some weird things though. The legs on the table chairs fell off when we tried to use the table. The screws had backed all the way out. Just seems like something that someone should have noticed before we arrived. The listing states there is a grill. There isnt one suitable for use. It a common area outdoor charcoal grill so rusted out that we didnt dare use it. There were no towels were available to use at the beach or the pool. We had to go and buy our own. Also, there was enough luandry soap and dishwasher soap for one use. We stayed for 5 days. Not enough for what we needed. So, we had to buy our own.The last thing is the pictures make everything look so bright inside. We found it to be pretty dark.All in all, the place worked out well for us, just a few strange things that didnt make sense, or weren't 100% truthful.

While the property offers a shared community charcoal grill, your feedback about its condition has been noted and shared so it can be evaluated. Regarding towels and starter supplies, we do provide bath towels for use inside the condo, along with a starter supply of laundry and dishwasher detergent, but beach/pool towels and additional supplies are typically guest-provided. That said, we understand how this may have been unexpected, and we’re reviewing how we can make this clearer in the listing to avoid confusion. We also appreciate the note about lighting and photos. Listing photos are taken to showcase the space, but your comment is helpful as we continue to look for ways to ensure expectations align as closely as possible with the in-person experience. Destin Vacation

The property was very clean and we could have fit more people in it. There are two pullout couches, and air mattress available as well. Plenty of clean linens and towels to go around! We had a small group but we when we book again we will bring more people with us!! The walk to the beach is quick. Also it’s right by Capt. Ds restaurant and it was by far the best place we ate.

Place was just as needed. Walk was just fine to the beach for a 2 yo, 1 yo, and 11 yo children. Pool was nice and clean depth is 4ft-8ft. There was 2 roaches inside but being Florida with lots of insects, it wasn't unbearable just killed and moved on. A few of the pocket doors inside the rooms did get stuck a few times and the one in the master bedroom did seem to be braking the frame. Other than that it was a great stay and would book again next time for a longer stay.

While we do have regular pest control service in place, Florida’s tropical climate can sometimes make it a challenge, and we're addressing this promptly with our service provider. We also appreciate your feedback about the doors and will have our maintenance team inspect and repair them to ensure they function smoothly for future guests. Wonderful hidden gem

Chateau La Mer is a perfectly hidden/placed property, depending on how you want to see it. The entrance is inconspicuous, and yet easy to find. The property sets back off Scenic Gulf Dr, so you aren’t seeing all of and hearing all of the traffic. Yet, to walk to the beach takes 2-4 minutes depending on what unit you stay in, and how fast you can/want to walk. The unit we stayed in was exactly as it was listed. The grocery store and all other attractions you may want to participate in, are within very short driving distances. We couldn’t have been happier to enjoy that little slice of heaven.
