After a full day of lounging on the warm sand, enjoy the community pool and tennis courts, with pickleball markings, directly behind the house. The community amenities can provide sweet relief from the heat or a great way to work up a sweat with a partner. When days come to a close, enjoy a fully equipped kitchen for easy meal prep, multiple flatscreen TVs throughout the home for movie nights, and a hot tub under the deck. The high-speed WiFi is ideal for remote work or schooling if you need to stay connected while away!

The ground floor features a day bed with trundle, a small fridge, a flatscreen TV, and a bath with a shower/tub combo shared with a room with two bunks. The second floor offers one king and one queen, both with deck access, which are connected by a shared full bathroom with shower/tub combo, and each has a TV. The additional queen bedroom is complete with deck access, 32-inch smart TV, and an ensuite full bath. Head up to the third floor, where you will find the kitchen, dining area, living room, deck access, and the main suite boasting a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a soaker tub and shower stall.

Great house in Corolla!

Lovely Home

My family of 12 adults stayed to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary and we could not have picked a better home in the most perfect location in the Outer Banks. We had plenty of room for our 3-night stay. The house was a short walk to the beach and various stores and restaurants just a short drive away.

We fell in love with this property as soon as we walked in the door. Beautiful well kept home in a lovely neighborhood. Everyone was happy with our stay. Close to the beach, shops, restaurants and grocery store. I think we found our beach house for follow up stays!

Perfect house for 2 families

We LOVED this house. We had 2 families, both with young kids. We had plenty of room and easy access to the beach. The porches were amazing! Would absolutely stay here again.

Great house!

The check in and check out process was easy. The house was very clean and came stocked with kitchen, bathroom and washing machine supplies. There was great views from the top floor and the rooms all had access to the porch. Highly recommend this house.

Girls trip

We had a great time. The house was plenty big enough for our party. I just wish there were extra trash bags, dish detergent and wash clothes available but it worked fine since we were only there for the weekend. Overall would recommend the house. The location waa great!

October stay

We had a great stay. First time in OBX, came in for a wedding. Ultimately the house was great, very clean and spacious. There are some small areas that could be improved but weren’t negatively impactful. The bedroom doors don’t have locks, that would be an appreciated change. Also the bedrooms don’t have any type of comforter or legit blanket. Just an extremely thin blanket that is not queen size despite being on queen and king sized beds. I brought a blanket from home but would have enjoyed more. Easy walk to the beach just down the road and we appreciated that they provided beach chairs. Plenty of towels which was great. Overall would definitely stay again. Thanks for having us.

Great Getaway with Friends

Our group included 8 adults & we had plenty of space and privacy in this house. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make dinner every night. The house was a short walk from the beach & some stores/restaurants. It was also a few-minute drive to grocery stores for all of those vacation treats! The house is a bit outdated, but kept fairly clean. Due to the height of the ceilings, there was some dust clumps throughout the top floor of the home so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to it. There was also a bit of a mosquito issue under the house near the trash cans, outdoor shower & hot tub which was unfortunate but we made the most of it with bug spray & purchased a citronella candle! Overall, we had a wonderful long weekend & any little con was far outweighed by the pros!!

Beautiful home

We were very happy with our stay at the Zea Urchins. We were two families with 6 teenagers and had plenty of room for everyone. The house was very clean and nicely decorated with a fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, utensils) that allowed us to cook meals at home when we weren't eating out. The decks were nice to be able to sit out and have coffee in the morning. The house is very close to the beach, just a short walk down the street. The hot tub was nice and had been cleaned and was ready to go upon our arrival. The area around the house had plenty of shopping. We definitely recommend this home.

Beautiful and spacious

The upper space with living, dining, kitchen and outdoor decks was beautiful and where we spent alot of time together, talking and playing games. Great views. Location is 4 miles from the off road beach entry for vehicles-this is where we saw the wild horses. Close to beach, 3 min walk. Also about a 5 min walk to grocery store, shopping and restaurants. The house was well supplied with toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, trash bags, towels and a very well supplied kitchen that even had a waffle iron!! Loved the hot tub and that some could play corn hole in the same area. Great place for biking! Easy getting into the home. We had no problems so don't know how the response is if you needed to contact for any issues. We really had a great time and our family of four grown children and one daughter-in-law, want to do this again!! ps. loved the whirlpool tub!!

Great place for a big group

This house was perfect for our group! The rooms had their own bathrooms which made for a comfortable stay for everyone. Every corner turned felt like a pleasant surprise. The house was clean and inviting. The hot tub was the best I have used and the outdoor space made for some fun hanging out together playing bags and listening to music. I love that there is no house to the right. It makes it feel a little more private and as if the pool is ours. The beach chairs were a nice treat and easy to carry to the beach, which was a nice short walk. Some beach chair straps were broken but we made due. There was also a toy box filled with fine beach items for the kids which was perfect! The only 2 downfalls were 1- not a lot of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, and no coffee. 2- Check out time was pretty early compared to other rentals I have stayed in. I’m sure it’s due to the house being so big that it takes a long time to clean. But it was difficult to get a big group out on time and have cleaned up ourselves. But, these things did not damper our experience.

Wonderful beach house!

We had a relaxing and fun time in this well-kept beach house. The top floor living area is so full of natural light and with the high ceilings and natural wood details made for the perfect place for the family to hang out together. We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. Highly recommend!

Perfect family get away!

House was perfect for all 11 members of our family, aged 7-72.. Close to stores, walk to the beach, community pool just a few steps away. The hot tub was great at night. Property manager was very responsive. Highly recommend.

OB vacay

We loved the location to pool, ocean, town and OB attractions. The walkability was excellent for the 2 teens with us who did not drive.Did not appreciate the noisy neighbors there for beach week. We weren't able to check in until 5, but that was probably a staffing issue. I emailed and texted management about availability of a grill. When a response came it was no grill so we brought a small one. And then there was one on the property with instructions on use. Small things that did not impact the enjoyment of our stay.

Great for Families!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Zea Urchin during the last week of March/first week of April. We were able to easily walk to shops, restaurants, and most importantly— the beach! The home was clean, and comfortably furnished. If you are staying in-season, the pool is right behind the house for extremely easy access. Just note that if you are staying out of season, the pool will of course not be opened and some of the restaurants and shops will be closed or close early! We vacationed with our 10 month old and were happy to see a baby gate, pack n’ play, and high chair provided for our stay. Corolla is far away from, “the main drag,” but if you are wanting a true beach-y, laid-back, and less touristy feel for your vacation this is the spot for you!

Splendid oasis

We were three families with young children on our first visit to the outer banks on a friends’ retreat. This house had everything we wanted! The home is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The decor pays tribute to the area’s history and natural beauty. It was spacious and the kids loved roaming the house on their playful adventures. Because the rooms are spread out over three floors, it was easy to have grown up time. We took turns cooking in the wonderfully appointed kitchen, and if I could take the dining room home, I would—it comfortably seated 12 people and got great light. We also enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub and foosbal table. Everything worked as intended. The living room was a fantastic gathering space. The light filled master bedroom with deck and whirlpool bath felt luxurious. On top of that, we were a short 3 minute walk to the beach and didn’t have to cross any big roads to get there. We enjoyed exploring Corolla and recommend the 4wd beach and curritick lighthouse/ whale head club. We were about a 35 minutes scenic drive away from Kitty Hawk, which we visited twice and also highly recommend. Overall, this home was a splendid, refreshing oasis for our families during our winter visit to the outer banks.

Great Beach Location

Close to shops and restaurants. This location was best for entertaining my family and with all basic needs in walking distance it made it easy to enjoy and relax on the beach.

PERFECT!

This was the perfect house for a long weekend even though it rained the ENTIRE time!!! The house had enough space for us all to hang out and yet still get privacy when needed. We had 4 moms and 5 children (ranging from 2-14) and everyone loved it! We will definitely book again!
