The Getaway House offers the opportunity for four to enjoy all that Avenwood Cabins has to offer. This two bedroom house with 1 1/2 bathrooms, a living room, dining room, and full kitchen is perfect for a getaway with friends! Avenwood cabins offers private cabin getaways in the beautiful Wayne National Forest. Our woodland escape ensures relaxation while providing modern amenities. Each cabin boasts state-of-the-art hot tubs with a view of the forest, queen-sized beds for guest comfort, air conditioning for those warmer months, WIFI and Roku-equipped televisions to keep you connected, and of course a pet-friendly environment for your fur babies!

The cabin was easy to find, spacious, clean, and in a great location (15 min outside of Logan). This cabin is set up for entertaining and would be great for a weekend getaway with friends!

Amazing property

This cabin was even nicer than expected! It has everything that was advertised and a little more. The view from the back yard was great and our 2 dogs had plenty of room to run and explore. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

Nice night away

Overall, it was a nice place to stay for a night! Getting back to the cabin was a little sketchy in our opinion but 15 minutes from the little downtown area! Can’t complain!

Weekend stay

Cabin was very clean, did not have many pans or kitchen utensils and the yard for the dogs was only half fenced in and unfortunately found some glass in the backyard and our dogs found chicken bones throughout the yard as well. I was hoping there would be small body wash/shampoo in bathrooms but only towels which was okay. The hot tub was very nice and clean, bedding and towels were very clean.

We toured hocking hills and this was a great location. Check in was easy and the place was very comfortable and roomy.

This exceeded our expectations!!!

The pictures doesn't do justice for this perfect sized cabin. It had a very nice pool table, huge kitchen and excellent hot tub. This place is absolutely wonderful. It made our New Year's eve spectacular. Playing pool and spending time in the hot tub before midnight. Perfection.

A great getaway

The private backyard was great and the size of the interior was much larger than expected. I was surprised that the cleaning office is attached to the cabin, and part of the view from the dining room is obstructed, but it was definitely well worth it. Would definitely stay there again.

Great weekend getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for a weekend. Hot tub was amazing, plenty of privacy, and we very much appreciated the quiet time. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and other items. Though, it was odd that there were no paper towels anywhere, making any minor clean up tougher. I’d give the property 5 stars, if it wasn’t for its proximity to the management office. It felt fairly awkward on Sunday morning listening to conversations and cars outside, especially when it wasn’t something noted on the listing. Otherwise, I’d recommend this property.

Attended a wedding

we were in the area for a wedding, the cabin was great. It was well appointed and provided everything we needed. We appreciated it is a pet friendly unit since we traveled with our 2 dogs. The privacy was wonderful.

2nd visit and even better!

My family has visited now twice, back to back years in December. We had a great time once again! Everything was clean and awesome in the cabin. The cabin wasn’t as cold as last year, and perhaps that’s been updated. You can’t beat the hot tub and pool table. Location is close to Logan and hiking in Hocking Hills. We look forward to our next visit!!

Perfect!

Had an amazing time. Power went out a couple times but owner kept us updated with when it should return. Nice private backyard. The unit is attached to the office for the cabins but they were not there long each day and didn't bother us at all.

Great Place to Stay

This property was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway! The breakfast room is beautiful with floor to ceiling windows and was the perfect spot to sit down and play a board game. The kitchen came equipped with just enough supplies that we could cook inside one night. We spent most of our time in the Billiards room, which was a huge reason we booked this cabin! Most of the pool cues were broken, but we were able to fix one so we each had a cue to play with. The backyard with the hot tub and firepit was a lovely little view! Overall a beautiful space and perfect for just us two and the dog, but definitely will come back here with friends!

Staff showed up early and was loud

The place was great. No issues with booking or checking in. I messaged the host multiple Times to ask what type of a grill they had on the property. I never got an answer back. Also, the staff showed up to the office which was connected to VRBO and arrived before 7 AM on Sunday morning and were very loud. They woke up my wife and I multiple times and kept coming in and out throughout the morning.
