Cozy and inviting for families or friends, Shepherd's Crook 1127 is a 2-bedroom +loft, 1.5-bathroom cabin rental for up to 5 guests in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Located in Chalet Village Resort, you'll have access to a variety of community amenities — including 3 swimming pools with water features, lit tennis courts, a basketball hoop, a paved walking trail, play areas for the kids, fitness equipment, and 3 clubhouses with games!

After skiing on the nearby slopes at Ober Gatlinburg, hiking in the national park, or shopping downtown (all just minutes from the cabin), return to your mountain retreat to unwind. Lounge in the living room with DVD entertainment on the TV, set up provided board games at the dining table, or crack open a good book in the recliner. On the deck, gaze at tree-studded views, cook out with the gas grill, and dine at the table. Best of all, there's a bubbly hot tub for soothing soaks in the fresh mountain air anytime!

For meals, snacks, and drinks, the fully equipped kitchen is a great convenience. You'll also have a washer and dryer to reuse towels and wash clothes as needed plus free high-speed Wi-Fi to stay connected throughout your stay in the Smokies. We stayed for two night and enjoyed our stay at the cabin. I only had two complaints but wasn’t a deal breaker to staying there again. Wish they would have had steps to get in the hot tub for safety reasons. Also I’m not sure if the shower was clean completely because there was hair in the shower drain and an old soap bar in the window seal. The cabin was nice and cozy for our mini family vacation.

Great Cabin

Easy to get to, great proximity to town and attractions, secluded but still had cabins around. Cabin was clean and looked just like the images. Only thing there was no hair dryer but that didn’t make or break anything. We loved it!

Spring break trip

I took my 14 year old son and a couple of his friends to the Smokies for their Spring Break. We all had a great time! Had a little trouble with the door code when we first arrived but one phone call and we were in! The hot tub could have been a bit cleaner.

When we arrived we were unprepared for the steep drive way and then the coded did not work. When we entered the property we were hit with a terrible smell. Floors were dirty and the shower was dirty we had to sweep and clean the shower. Vacuum did not work so we had to wear shoes all the time. Bugs crawling in towels so we had to wash them before we could use them thank goodness there was a washer and dryer. When we got up the next morning and went outside there was trash all over. The place was way smaller than the pics showed.

We would do it again!

Cabin was clean and tidy. All appliances work. Hot tub is brand new. Im not sure if the listing says, but the coffee maker is a Keurig (in case youre shopping for groceries on the way in). We will book for a future trip soon. The only negative is on night 1, we had a bear print on the jeep, which was no problem. And then on the last night had a big black bear tear into the soft top of our Jeep for an unopened pack of diapers. This of course is to no fault if the property, just a nosey bear! I didnt see many positive reviews about this place, but we couldnt recommend it more. We loved our stay here.

Shepherds Crook

It was okay although we had to call about the hot tub not being clean. They tried to say it was but there was literally crusty foam all in it. We called and they had someone come fit it. We lost power due to high winds but we still managed to have a great time.

Horrible smell in Cabin.

Booked cabin for a quick Fall Break getaway. The cabin smelled and felt like an old basement - damp and musty. It ended up aggravating my sons asthma. We stayed at the cabin for less than 16 hours I called both 1-800 numbers posted but have only been offered a gift card and no refund. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This property looked great online the pictures of the actual condition once arriving was extremely disappointing live/dead bugs All over the place mold in shower the place smelt horrific the hot tub was extremely low on water and smelt like stagnant water when trying to contact the the owners was useless vrbo had us on hold for ever and ended up not ever getting anything done about it over priced and no one was willing to make it right. But I will never stay at a property like this we actually only stayed one evening and left due to the fact nobody cared in tending to the bugs mold and smell. Beware of this property for future stays much better places available in the area

BED BUGS

There were bed bugs in our cabin and the property management did absolutely nothing to prevent this or compensate us for our entire bodies being COVERED in bed bug bites. Not to mention the absolute inconvenience it caused since we had to make sure it did not get into our home. I am completely disgusted with the management Cabins for You. They offered only a 50% refund even though mine and my boyfriends bodies are covered in bites and we had to leave our family vacation early. 0/10 would not recommend.

Jessica, we would like to sincerely apologize for all the discomfort you and your group experienced. We know that it must have been alarming to discover that the cabin could possibly have bed bugs. We're grateful you notified us of your concerns so we could address this promptly, and did advise on our policies surrounding this situation. Unfortunately, bed bugs can occur anywhere, and we have strict procedures in place regarding treatment so any issue that may arise is taken care of immediately. In this case, we did send pest control out to test the property for bed bugs, and ultimately, bed bugs were present and management reached out to you in regards to available options. With our policies in place, we were only able to offer a fifty percent refund for the inconvenience. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this caused you and your family and do hope you'll be able to enjoy the Smokies again in the future, regardless of where you may stay.

‏Oven was broke - grill not working- bed room door doesn’t closed- not safe out yard has no door on the stairs to protect form bears. When I go on vacation, I plan everything carefully to fully enjoy it based on the amenities provided at the resort. One of the available amenities was the outdoor gas grill. I purchased meat, chicken, fish, and the necessary spices accordingly. However, I was surprised to find that the grill wasn’t working. I read the instructions on the grill and followed them precisely, but the result was the same. I called customer service and explained the issue. It was clear that the built-in igniter was not functioning. ‏I ended up going out to eat that evening and postponed the grilling to the next day. Later, I received a message on my phone saying that the issue had been resolved. When I returned, I found a note stating that there was no problem and that I simply needed to turn on the timer — as if I can’t read or as if I came from another planet! ‏I called customer service again, and the representative was extremely rude. She didn’t even try to listen to what I had to say. She raised her voice at me and rudely said, “Just follow the instructions. We will not send anyone — the grill works.” This video was recorded as proof that the grill does not work, despite me following every single step. ‏I ended up wasting the meat, chicken, and fish I had purchased, and a portion of my vacation was ruined. My whole plan was disrupted!

Great cabin

Everything about the cabin was great! The only issue was communicating w/ property manager. I had questions about my booking. They were super slow to reply, they didn't answer my questions and were short and rude. I forgot some items in the cabin and I'm still waiting on them to contact me to make arrangements to get them back.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1127 Chalet waas extremely dirty!! It has not been dusted in years and was not cleaned before we arrived. The fridge leaked water everywhere, the slider did not lock, the front storm door did not latch, and the dryer was broke. When asking the office where we could locate a dryer they were rude. The office also sent employees to our chalet without notifying us first.

Loved our stay: nice mid-week getaway for 2. Main floor bed was VERY comfortable; had no need to try the loft bed. Large shower with bench was a plus. Note: there is no bath tub, which we didn't mind. Really enjoyed the fireplace on the cool autumn evenings. WiFi worked great. Driveway is steep and sharp, could be a challenge in bad weather. Our highlight had to be the bears. First day, we saw a single cub scared up the driveway by a passing car while trying to cross the road. Next, we saw four cubs in the driveway that went and played around at the cabin below us. Last day, found a cub on the deck that went down into the driveway: we followed out onto the deck only to discover mama bear nursing all four cubs in the driveway. She ignored us watching from less than a stone's throw away. By the way, always keep your vehicle locked: we were warned by the registry book in the cabin, and we watched the bears try two of our doors but we had them locked. Have a nice paw print on my running board until the next car wash...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved our stay! Just up the mountain a bit from everything: parking at OberGatlinburg and riding down to use the Gatlinburg "trollies" is very convenient. Mind the driveway: it is steep. Enjoyed the fireplace on cool evenings and the large shower with bench. Very comfortable bedding. The highlight had to be the mother bear nursing four (4!) cubs in the driveway while we watched from the deck!! (Doesn't look like we can attach a photo.) Keep you vehicle locked at all times: the bears try the doors...
