L'une des meilleures locations sur le lac Keewaydin. Cette escapade familiale calme, amusante et relaxante dispose de 200 pieds de plage de sable avec une entrée progressive ~ parfait pour les bébés et les petits enfants. Grande cour pour les enfants et le chien à jouer. La natation, le canotage, la pêche et le kayak sont des moyens idéaux de passer du temps sur le lac. L'endroit idéal pour se détendre au son du huard. Profitez de vues panoramiques ... grand ciel, montagnes vertes et eau pétillante. Ce chalet de deux chambres / une salle de bain est joliment décoré partout. Une vue sur le lac depuis presque toutes les pièces. Comprend un quai, un foyer, des meubles d'extérieur, une grande pelouse, un filet de volleyball réglementaire, 2 kayaks et 2 chaloupes. Télévision par câble, lecteur DVD et magnétoscope / films disponibles. 30 minutes en voiture de Bridgeton pittoresque, ME et à moins d'une heure des attractions de North Conway, NH.

Last minute trip

Great location, nice sandy beach, sunny all afternoon and very quiet. Paula was communicative, we ran out of propane for the grill and it was quickly replaced. I would recommend Mad Moose and certainly visit again.

The mad moose is a perfect cabin for small families of all ages . We had a great week of fishing,swimming,reading and relaxing . Paula was so easy to contact and fast to reply. Looking forward to our next trip back to Keywadin :)

Amazing week

Cozy cabin steps away from a beautiful lake. Kayaks ready for use, cozy fire pit, and beds for up to 8 guests. We had peaceful getaway here and our dog loved her best life playing in the yard and in the lake!

Lovely property tucked on a quiet lake with private beach. So grateful Paula allows dogs so our pup could travel with us. Enjoyed kayaking, hiking, fishing! House is very clean and well kept. 5 stars!

Family camp

We had a wonderful week at the Mad Moose! No cell service, no WiFi... just swimming, kayaking, reading, and campfires! My son even found wild blueberries in the yard and loved picking the ripe berries every morning. This is the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect!

Relaxing and Peaceful, quality family time

Me, my husband, and our 3 elementary aged girls had a wonderful time here. Huge backyard, sandy bottom clear lake all the way to dock, we could touch up until the dock too! We enjoyed swimming all day, every day!! The two kayaks were great. Cottage was cute and comfy, had everything we needed including lobster pot! Our dog enjoyed her first vacation here also. Our plan was to explore outside the town once, but once we got there, we realized we needed to catchup on rest and family time without expectations of leaving, and that we did. Beautiful view. Loved it.

Fun for people and dogs! Cozy Maine camp

The house is rustic, property is right on the water. This is a smaller lake but big enough to enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking and swimming in for the week. You will not find “farmhouse minimalist chic modernism house flipper style” in this home. This is a camp with upgrades (or drinkable water and separate sleeping spaces.) We lived outdoors most of the time. The house is well cared for and we enjoyed the kayaks. Didn’t realize there is no actual living room/ couch/ tv area (can use the futon in the bunk room for that purpose) but we had good weather And weren’t inside much. Could benefit from more comfy outside seating but we knew this ahead of time. Overall had a lovely stay away from every day and are so thankful our dogs were able to come on our adventure. They had a good stay too!

Perfect lake cabin stay

Coming from a city, the Mad Moose cabin was the perfect way to rest and relax among nature. We loved all the outdoor experiences (kayaking and swimming in the lake, grilling our meals, great fire pit and star gazing). The cabin itself had lots of charm. It rained during our stay and we loved gazing out the windows, watching/listening to the rain while on the rocking chairs. Paula was very easy to communicate with.

Great times at the Mad Moose!

We had a wonderful time at the Mad Moose. The lake was perfect for our kids to swim without any type of floaties. Also, they loved the bunkbeds and all of the books and games. All in all, we had a great trip!

Beautiful week in Maine

Paula was very easy to communicate with and helpful in the week. The gradual entrance to the water was great for the littles and the dog! We enjoyed our stay and the adventures we were able to go on from this location.

Private and comfy getaway

The property was perfect size for 2 adults and 1 child. We did have 2 more adults and another child for 1 night and that was ok, but for a week the space would be tight. Wifi was better than expected and allowed for music etc.. The yard and beach were amazing. Firepit was awesome and plenty of room to sit around each night. Plenty of room for the dog and kids to play. We brought our own dog run, but there were two there already, one near beach and one near fire so that was easy. Beach was big and sandy. The water is very, very shallow which is amazing for small children and floating but not great for older children and adults swimming. Water is clear and sandy in front of camp out to the floay, but mucky elsewhere. Great kayaking lake as no big boats. Neighbors let us use their float which is in front of this camp to jump off which was fun and they were very nice. If you don't want other people/children around a majority of time (not on property but on float yelling and playing) this may not be a good fit for you. Overall very fun and nice place.

Great Old School Lake Cabin

This cabin was exactly what I was looking for: off the beaten path, simple, relaxing. We had a couple rainy days during our stay but we still went out on the lake and had fun in the water, and we did a puzzle after dinner. We did some great hikes and made use of the kayaks, row boat, hammock, and fire pit. Think a more comfortable take on camping. It was great!

Lovely getaway at Keewaydin Lake

We had a wonderful, restful fall getaway at the Mad Moose. The property was just rustic enough to give you the full Maine camp experience, while providing all the amenities necessary to enjoy a home away from home. Right on the lake and views from the cabin windows are spectacular! Loved having the rowboat and kayaks at our disposal. Our lab was in heaven splashing around in the shallow, sandy beachfront. Paula is a pleasure to work with and accommodated our request for an extra day stay so that we could go over to New Hampshire and take the scenic train tour through the White Mountains.
