Coastal Waters is located at 3509 S Atlantic Avenue at the intersection of South Atlantic and 26th avenue in New Smyrna Beach.
The property is a classic 1950s Florida vintage hotel. Coastal Waters consists of 3 buildings with three floors.
The property has been modernized and updated with super-fast WIFI, a new heated pool, extended gas line to the grill area so no more propane tanks and digital wifi enabled door locks to provide easy access and simple contactless check in!
Room 212 is on the second floor. Walk into the living and kitchen area. The small kitchenette is supplied with all the basics to help you prepare simple meals and includes a table that can expand to seat 4.
Bedroom has two full beds.
Private gate is located directly in front of the unit for easy beach access.
The location right on the beach is great! The pool is heated and clean. The kitchen itself was not well stocked - 2 forks! Old and not very clean (layers of dust on the blinds), but view and balcony made up for that.
Any questions we had were promptly answered via text (super convenient) located right on the beach. You can park car on beach, but if you want more privacy you can walk about 200 feet to area where no motor vehicles are permitted. The only things that could have been better: the key to beach access was really hard to get to work, there was no soap provided just shampoo and conditioner, I had to borrow coffee filters from neighbor. Small details that had no effect on our overall enjoyment of the stay.
Not as advertised Pictures show a waterfront view. Also a lot nicer interior. Cleanup fee very high for such a small area. And lots of warnings regarding charges for stealing and so forth.
It was a cute property with great proximity to the beach. It is clearly aged so there isn't a "wow factor" when you walk in, but it is a great price and does the job for an ocean view stay.
Parking is tight, but we did find a spot. The primary communication method is text which seems scammy until you confirm the source.
When we arrived, we walked into our room being cleaned which was a bit awkward. When we returned to our room after at 12:30am, our room code did not work and it took about 15 minutes to get someone on the phone to correct it.
Overall, I wasn't impressed, but for the price and the view, I would stay there again.
Place needed a lot of work - first time giving a poor review with VRBO.
Pool and location were nice. Unit itself was falling apart. A set of bifold closet doors were laying on the closet floor, hair dryer did not work, got stuck in the bedroom overnight because door jammed, door knob in bedroom spring was hanging out, kitchen sink had bad leak, balcony was unsightly with rust stains, peeling paint, living room window was taped to keep glass in place and could not be operated, etc... I texted management next day after getting stuck, they apologized and wanted to send maintenance but asked that they wait until we left in 2 days. We didnât let the bedroom door close again. We were there 6 nights and paid too much. This is first time I was disappointed with a VRBO property.
The location of this property was really nice. The ocean views were good too. The place, itself, I would say, Is in poor repair. The light/fan didnât work in the bedroom, the fan worked in the living room, but felt like If you pulled the chain, you might pull the whole light/fan down, and the light outside the patio didnât work. The window, patio door and actual patio all need replacements or repairs. The fitted sheets were put on sideways and the box spring cover was ripped. The pool area was nice, it was quiet in our room, the fridge and coffee pot worked well. The tv had several apps so that was nice. The plastic shower liner needed to be replaced. The manager was very good at responding, but we were unable to get replacements for stained pillow cases and towels. The price was reasonable considering the area and condition of the place.
This place could use some big renovations. The floor was about to fall through, Bedding, couch all looked dirty. Not impressed glad we only stayed one night I wouldnât be able to make it longer than that.
Nice little spot right on the beach! Room was clean and had all the necessities except for shower. My shower was broken and I was only able to take short baths for my entire stay. Made it impossible to wash my hair and as a result I didnât did my head under water when swimming :( My IG is Kaytsarr I am an NYC agency model. Happy to collaborate as a influencer if at all applicable
The unit itself was very nice except there was no A/C vent in the bedroom. The owner is renovating the entire A/C system so that will be improved. Also, there is no elevator so carrying all of our stuff upstairs several times was a little inconvenient. The property is in a great location. Restaurants and shops very close by and within walking distance. Property was on the beach so accessing the beach was very easy.
The location on New Smyrna Beach was exactly what we wanted. The property had a private gate that went right out onto the beach and it was beautiful. The property was also close to many places to eat and not too far from main highways!
I had an overall great experience staying at Coastal Waters. I frequent New Smyrna Beach quite often, but this was my first time staying here.. The location was great, property very secure and any and contact with all involved including the property manager to maintenance personnel was very positive. I had a little issue with check in but it got resolved immediately.
