The epitome of what the perfect beach house should be, this home has been touched and cared for in every room. Recently renovated, we wanted it to be both modern and cozy and maintain the history of the house.
Our home is close to the beach, the marina, shopping, cafes, restaurants all in walking distance. Youâll love our home because of the location, the neighborhood, the outdoors space. Our home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families.
We love to sit outside in the yard at night with a fire going in the fire pit, drinking a glass of wine (or 2!) and looking up at the stars. It's a wonderful house and enjoyable to stay because of the open concept and wrap around deck. We love that we can walk to the Harbor and to restaurants and cafes along the PCH. We also walk our dog down to Doheny State Beach.

Location: 1-car garage. If the car is too big to fit in the garage or you have a 2nd car, you can park parallel to the garage door. Cannot park on sidewalk!

Street Parking: Available. It's unrestricted parking but pay attention to signs for street cleaning days.
Dana Point is a resort-residential community (population about 20,000) along the Pacific coast in South Orange County in Southern California. It is known for its extensive artist community, seaside village atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and luxury resort hotels. Fans of the Beach Boys will recall the mention of the city in the song "Surfin' Safari". In warm sunny weather, Dana Point can have an overwhelming Mediterranean-island ambiance. Dana Point attracts a few million visitors a year.
We do have some public transit in the area but from Dana Point you can take a taxi ride of a few miles (or I *think* Orange County Transit Authority (OCTA) bus 1) to one of the the Amtrak stations in San Clemente and from there you can catch the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train either south to San Diego or north to Anaheim (Disney) and to Los Angeles.
I believe OCTA bus 1 also runs to Newport beach from Dana Point. But these aren't small areas so may involve some walking to/from the bus stops to get to where you want to go and your hotel etc.
Otherwise having your own vehicle makes the most sense.

RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Definitions:
"My People". Shall include myself, my spouse, legal partner, guests, invitees, licensees, children, wards, heirs, assigns, personal representatives and estate, if any.
NO REFUNDS - Even the best or newest home has equipment that may occasionally malfunction and cannot be guaranteed operational 100% of the time. We promise to act immediately to remedy any issues, however, we do not relocate or issue refunds due to malfunctioning equipment or any other guest dissatisfaction or due to construction noise or any other items out of our control, unless the home is considered uninhabitable.
- All rentals with 28+ nights require a rental agreement signed naming and identifying all adult occupants (must present valid ID).
No one likes rules, least of all, us -- but we do have a few requirements so that the home is in as perfect a shape for each guest as possible.
-Please respect check-in and checkout times. Check-in: 4pm-10pm. Checkout: 10am
-Primary renter must be over the age of 25, have a fully verified profile and previous positive reviews inside Airbnb.
-Host may request a photocopy of renter's ID for verification before check-in.
-This is a private property and the host reserves the right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter.
Late Checkout Policy
Guests must check out by the designated checkout time specified in the rental agreement. Late checkouts without prior approval will incur fees to cover costs including, but not limited to, waiting times for cleaning crews, canceled or delayed cleaning appointments, hardships on arriving guests (e.g., delayed check-ins or compensation), additional wear and tear on the property, and increased utility usage (e.g., electricity, water, or HVAC). The fees, based on the duration past the checkout time, are as follows:
âą Less than 1 hour: 10% of the nightly rate or $100, whichever is greater.
âą 1-2 hours: 15% of the nightly rate or $250, whichever is greater.
âą More than 2 hours: Full nightly rate.
To avoid fees, guests are encouraged to coordinate with us in advance for late checkout requests. Approved late checkouts are subject to availability and may incur additional charges as agreed upon. These fees are designed to compensate for disruptions to property turnover and operational costs, and we will provide documentation (e.g., cleaning schedules, guest complaints) upon request to ensure transparency.
Additional Cleaning Policy
Guests are expected to leave the property in a reasonably clean condition, consistent with normal use. Any cleaning required beyond what is considered normal or reasonable, as determined by the property management, will result in an additional cleaning fee of $100 per hour. This fee covers costs such as extended cleaning times or specialized cleaning needs. Examples of excessive cleaning needs include, but are not limited to, excessive trash, stains or spills requiring professional treatment, pet hair in non-pet-friendly units, or other conditions requiring significant labor. We will make every effort to accurately reflect the additional work needed and the time required to complete it, providing documentation (e.g., photos, cleaning logs) upon request to ensure transparency.
Important Fee Disclosure for Long-Term Stays (30+ Days):
Should this property be reserved for 28 days or more, we reserve the right to apply additional monthly fees to cover certain ongoing expenses (eg utilities) not included in the standard nightly rate.
These may include, but are not limited to:
âą Gas and electricity
âą Water and sewer
âą Trash and recycling
âą Internet and streaming services
âą Other utility or maintenance surcharges applicable to the home which will be known prior to the time of booking
These fees may be assessed as either:
âą A flat monthly fee, or
âą A fee calculated as up to 5% of the monthly rent.
Such fees may be collected directly through the Airbnb platform or invoiced separately as permitted by Airbnb policy. For estimation purposes, please assume an additional fee equal to 5% of the monthly rent unless otherwise specified in advance.

Fire and Fire Safety. Occupant is notified that the Property may be located in an area susceptible to fire, and as such Occupant agrees all conform with all applicable fire codes of any governmental authority, and ensure safe and reasonable use, management, and extinguishment of any fire places, bbq's, smoking (if permitted), fire pits and any other device or act involving the risk of fire. In the event Occupant discovers any fire related safety issues, Occupant shall immediately inform Manager and cease and desist immediately from undertaking, or continuing usage until inspection, remediation (if necessary) and written approval by Manager that use is permitted. Flammable substances and solids, such as gasoline, benzene, naphtha, cleaning fluids, explosives, and fireworks may not be used or stored on the Property. Lighted candles, incense, kerosene lamps, halogen lamps and tenant installed electric heaters may not be used in the Property. ALL COOKING MUST BE CONFINED TO DESIGNATED COOKING AREAS. Use of electrical appliances not provided with the Property, such as hot plates, heating coils, coffeepots, popcorn poppers, electric frying pans, toaster ovens, irons, and electric heaters are prohibited. Storage or placement of any items (including trash, bicycles, boxes, furniture, etc.) in public
