PLEASE NOTE: SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing an extensive property modernization project beginning September 9, 2024. Please review the important details below to help you plan your stay:

-Construction will take place daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including weekends if required.
-Guests will likely experience construction noise and other inconveniences during these hours.

-Outdoor amenities will be closed until early June 2025, including:

-Outdoor Pool
-Outdoor Hot Tub
-Splash Pad
-Grill and smoking areas will be relocated during the renovation.
-The indoor pool and gym will remain open during regular operating hours.
-This timeframe coincides with the first two phases of our property renovation. All dates are subject to change due to weather conditions, labor availability, or supply chain issues.

SunDestin Beach Resort is a gulf front property and is sure to become your favorite vacation spot in Destin, FL. The Scenic Stays team is always available at the 24-hour on-site front desk. Featuring seemingly endless amenities including an indoor and outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, and complimentary DVD rentals, SunDestin offers a true beach resort experience! Additional seasonal amenities include an outdoor tiki bar, and beach chair and umbrella rentals (fee). Exploring the Destin area is a must, with shopping and restaurants just minutes away at Destin Commons.

16 floors up, SunDestin Unit 1604 offers spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico below. A fully equipped, updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances overlooks the living and dining areas with incredible natural light and expansive views of the Gulf of Mexico. There’s plenty of room for everyone in the common areas with a large dining room table for four and cozy seating in the living space. Step onto the balcony with seating for two to enjoy the best views of the sunrises and sunsets. Four guests can sleep comfortably in this one-bedroom condo with a king bed in the master bedroom and a queen size sofa bed in the living area. A flat screen TV is in both rooms so you can wind down after a day of enjoying the beach.

Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

Not Avery Good Experience This Time

Pool was closed most of our stay due to construction/painting right above the pool area. The shower was horrible, had to finely adjust it for it to turn off, the knobs just kept spinning around and around. The water pressure from the shower head was terrible. I/we will not be renting that unit again... The girl in the gift shop didn't even greet us when we walked in, totally ignored us. This trip to the Sundestin was very disappointing. We had stayed here before and it was a much better experience than this trip. Our next trip to Destin we will find a new place to stay.

Beautiful room with amazing view!!

Perfect getaway spot for our besties bday trip! Love the new restaurant, the available items in the gift shop, and proximity to many delicious restaurants. Views were amazing and the condo is cozy and comfortable. Nice decor. Would definitely stay again!

Overall pretty good

There were a few things that I did notice, the drain of the shower/tub didn’t work great, the water pressure was not good at all. The bed sheets felt like paper. But overall it was a good stay. The location was perfect, the staff was awesome, the bar downstairs was delicious and friendly, and the store had many things, coffee bar, aloe, sun screen, alcohol, breakfast, snacks. Overall 4/5

Great Location, but room could use some upgrades.

The condo was in a great location. Close to several restaurants and shopping. It was a short drive to the bigger attractions and far enough from the hectic traffic. The space is under construction and they did mention that while booking. I would say there was no mention of the pool being out of order until the day we were checking in. And I guess their mention of construction would prompt me to consider the noise but it didn’t cross my mind. As far as the condo, the living, dining area and kitchen were great! They were very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. As far as the other spaces, the bed was a memory foam mattress and felt like there was a dip on both sides which did not work well for us. We had some uncomfortable nights. The interior door lock was broken so we weren’t able to secure the room. And finally the shower is made for shorter people. It worked great for me at 5’4” but my husband who is 6’0” struggled to shower. It also lacked water pressure. I would stay at this location again but I may consider a different space and call to check where they are in the construction process.

Lost in transition

First of all the pictures on your site were misleading. It made it look like the condo wasn’t far off the ground. Not the 16th floor. Went to take a shower after arriving and the shower didn’t work. It took me better part of 30 minutes to get the cold water to shut off.(knob just spun and would not stop. Called the front desk to repair. Get in bed that night and TV didn’t work in the bedroom. Had to call the front desk again. They fixed the shower but not the cold water valve. Was tricky to shut off after using. Girl at the desk was an idiot each question we asked her was like talking to a Barbie doll, no response. First mining I went to the beach and when I got to the door to get back in the building I took my shoes off and slipped on the wet cement and fell flat on my back. Cabinets acted like they want to fall off every time you opened them up. Will never stay there again

A few upgrades would make the stay better

The elevators could be cleaner and the carpet needs to be changed out. It looks old and worn. It would only cost a few extra dollars to have softer toilet paper.

Room vs Property

Room itself was nice. The property was a little run down. Pools are small and gym was tiny. Front desk staff was hit or miss on friendliness.
