Those of us who love the Hawaiian Islands feel a strong sense of place. We are connected to this land (aina) and to the ocean (wai) and to the winds (makani) that bring us renewal and peace. We strive to show Aloha (love, and consideration and compassion) to others. I invite you to experience some of these gifts that Hawaii has to offer. My unit at Diamond Head Beach Hotel has been designed to reflect a combination of tranquility and hope. It offers a view of the Pacific Ocean and sunset is an especially beautiful time. The trade winds provide a soothing tropical breeze. The Diamond Head Beach Hotel guests and residents have access to the ocean front lanai and lawn. An ocean access (known locally as the Silver Stairs) is just a few steps away which is also the entry point for several surf breaks. My Unit is fully furnished: rattan furnishings, a new queen bed and mattress with designer high thread count sheets, a Keurig type coffee maker, microwave, blender, toaster, fan, air conditioner, desk and small refrigerator. Battery candles too! Beach towels are provided for your enjoyment as well as snorkel and mask, beach chairs. umbrella and boogie boards There is a yoga mat available in the unit. There is a small library of books about the Hawaiian Islands and Hawaiian culture. And, for fun, there are multiple pineapple lamps!

The physical location is far enough from Waikiki that you are not in the middle of crowds of tourists, yet you are within walking distance should you want to go there. It is across the street from Kapiolani park “the jewel of Oahu”. It is on the slopes of Diamond Head and walking or jogging around Diamond Head is a favorite activity for enthusiasts. Kaimana Beach is less than 150 yards away and offers a wonderful safe, sandy and life-guarded swimming beach that is very popular with locals.

Hidden gem

Wonderful little condo, quiet and close to Kapiolani beach. Jo met us when we arrived and gave a tour of the property. We had stayed here last year and knew we wanted to stay again. The unit is cozy and well appointed. It’s close to Waikīkī and restaurants. Walking distance to many and short drive to others. It very reasonably priced.

Diamond head stay

Easy ck in Good location Clean Safe Comfortable bed Pleanty of good coffee and coffee maker- and sugar A/C appreciated but quite noisy Almost no cable Chanel’s available for movies Property was pretty much as described- looked larger on the Internet. Has a lot of furniture and stuff that makes it seem more crowded. Extra bath towels would be helpful because it’s so humid the 2 provided were never completely dry.

Great stay in Waikiki

This is a lovely place to stay; walking distance to all Waikiki beaches, a view out both front and back, very spacious studio unit, fantastic seaside lanai, well equipped kitchen and bath. Jo was very friendly and supportive; met us at the condo with leis and further gifts - she was extremely welcoming. We hope to have the privilege to stay here again soon.

Wonderful stay

We had a great time at the apartment. On arrival Jo met us at the apartment and gave a tour of the property. The location was ideal, just a short walk to Kapiolani Park and beach. The views of Diamond Head and the sunsets at the patio were spectacular. The apartment itself was very comfortable and nicely appointed. I would highly recommend staying here.

Best kept secret ever!

Mountain View, ocean view and across from a beautiful park. This quaint condo has it all! The private lanai is THE BEST! Sunsets are epic! Ms. Jo is amazing !

Nice place

It was a nice place to stay. Clean and cozy away from the "downtown" area. Great communication with the host. We loved the outdoor area and view- it was very relaxing. The only issue we had was parking on a couple of nights. The free parking across the street is great, but there were activities going on a the park on a couple of the nights we were there and it was very difficult to find parking, because we didn't return to the room until later in the evening. I would suggest researching if there will be activities at that park so you can arrive early to get parking on those days. Other than that it was a wonderful stay!

Park and Diamond Head

We would stay there again.... Nice greeting by host and communication with host was very good. Renting here is much better than a hotel room. It takes about 5 to 6 minutes to walk to all the action of Waikiki our direction was 180 and walk around Diamond Head. If your looking for a place where you want to do a lot of cooking, maybe not for you. If you just want to heat up takeout then no problem. Suggest you check out Diamond Head grill for take out. From the park up Monsarrat street you will find other food offerings. In waikiki I suggest the Yard House for Happy Hour or after happy hour good food and beverages. The host left creamer in the frig for your coffee, nice of her to do that. Mahalo and Aloha

Nice Neighborhood

A small property but a great location away from the the traffic and noise of Waikiki. Sunsets were amazing and being right next to the water made it extra special. Our host Jo was the best! She took all the stress out of scheduling by helping us get in early and quickly communicating with us.

Lovely Stay and Good Location

Jo was so kind to accommodate our late night check in. We felt very welcomed! The place is in a great location—quieter than being right in Waikiki, but still within walking distance to the action. There is a nice swimming beach very close and if you rent a car, there is free overnight parking just across the street at Kapiolani Park. We really enjoyed our stay!

Home away from home!

This condo is truly an excellent place to stay for a trip to Oahu. It is outside the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but close enough to drive in and enjoy it. The parking situation wasn't the best but that is the way it is in Oahu. We were close to Diamond Head and a short walk to a beach area, which made the views from the condo absolutely amazing! Jo was an awesome hostess. She met us when we arrived with a beautiful Lei and an anniversary gift. We would definitely come back and rent from her again. Thank you again Jo for sharing your condo with us! Mahalo

Fantastic Host! Adorable Condo!

I absolutely cannot say enough nice things about Jo, and her beautiful condo! I had already been in Oahu for 10-days, staying at another location right in the heart of Waikiki. It was SO loud, and busy! Moving to Jo’s place was so refreshing. It’s so much quieter, yet you’re still within walking distance of everything that is “Waikiki”. Jo’s condo has absolutely EVERYTHING you would need for your stay, including toiletries. And although there is no stove, Jo was kind enough to lend me her 1-burner hot plate so I could make my morning eggs. I’ve rented a lot of places through VRBO, on all of the islands, and Jo is hands down the kindest, most hospitable host I've ever dealt with. The sunsets are spectacular from the back balcony. And there are fantastic views of Diamond Head from the front door, which I highly recommend hiking. The private, grassy lounge area right next to the ocean was a great place to read a book, work on my tan, and take a little nap. The last 1/2 of my trip I was here by myself, and I felt completely safe staying in the gated, and secure building. Although you could can rent a parking space in the building by going online at a cost $25/day, I had zero issues, and felt completely safe parking directly across the street in the metered parking, which is free from 6pm-10am. 10 out of 10 HIGHLY recommend, and will never stay anywhere else when I come for future visits.

Fantastic

I stayed with my mother during a busy week in July. Lovely place, extremely tidy and with a great view of the ocean and sunset. Jo is extremely sweet and understanding, and is very easy to get in touch with. Very happy we had the opportunity to stay in such a wonderful environment while we were visiting. Highly recommended!

Jo is AWESOME!

Can’t say enough good things about Jo! Sincerely a lovely human who goes above and beyond to make her guests feel comfortable. She even took me to get food when I arrived!! Location was perfect! Condo has literally everything you need for a vacay in Oahu. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it!!!

Quiet studio close to busy Waikiki

What a perfect location...Right by a great local beach, Kaimana Beach, for swimming, surfing and sunbathing. A short colorful walk along beautiful Kapiolani Park and coastline to get to the center of wild Waikiki with so much going on. The unit itself is cozy with terrific sunset views of Waikiki beaches. Jo, was very accommodating as she met me at the entrance and walked me through the complex and unit. Lots of nice touches in the unit! And a lovely sitting area in front of the complex right on the ocean. Great stay...Highly recommend it! Richard

Great location

Jo met us at the gate and gave us beautiful leis and a few local goodies. It is a studio but it is well stocked for the size. You can see and hear the ocean with great breezes . The common lanai is literally on the ocean! Parking across the street by the huge park was not a problem either and cheaper than the garage.

Great stay with quiet location

The room was exactly as described, clean and full of character! Jo definitely has a great place on her hands. The location is a bit off of Waikiki so there is a short walk to the more tourist-y attractions but that just makes it more quiet and comfortable. The community seating area has a wonderful view of the ocean, especially at sunset. Would definitely stay again!

If only.....

I can’t rate the property because we never made it!!!!! At issue... huge snowstorm that showed up late; closed Denver International Airport for 2 days; our flight was rescheduled not once but TWICE; we were outside of the 72 hour COVID testing window and completely missed our stay on OAHU. However, what I can speak to is this INCREDIBLE host!! We were in touch so much!! She responded to every email and text within 30 minutes or less!!! First was the snow updates and the estimated delay, then the first flight cancellation, and another day lost, then finally the second flight cancellation and not making it to Oahu at all!! As all of this was going on, she was looking for other dates that she could accommodate us. An then she graciously told us that to come back another time and use the days we paid for but couldn’t use this year!! With the business she’s lost due to COVID and the stricter rules to enter the islands, this is an act of kindness above and beyond measure! I can’t wait until we get to meet you and enjoy your home!!!!

Oahu water front get away

Very nice apartment with small kitchenette ,Jo was very nice to have a flower lei greeting,she had coffee half n half ,water,starbucks coffee, Valentine's chocolates, she also supplied shampoo, conditioner,beach towels, She also delivered a new fan after we told her that it would be nice to add one to the room. The room was very comfortable and we loved the location, and the beachfront grass very beautiful. The ocean was wonderful! We will be back next year for sure! Highly recommend this vrbo

The building is directly on the beach and has a lovely terrace next to the sea wall.

The location has a view of Diamond Head on one side and the skyline of Honolulu and the beach on the other. The building is secure and quiet. The furnishings are tasteful and tropical with many thoughtful touches. This is a very relaxing choice.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My condo sports a view of the ocean on one side and a view of Diamond Head (Leahi) on the other side. This property has a ocean front lawn and lanai that is available for use by all guests. The sunset is spectacular from this location. The property is also across the street from Kapiolani Park, steps from Diamond Head and less than 150 yards to a popular, safe and sandy swimming beach. It is close enough to Waikiki to walk there but far enough so that you are away from the noise and activity. Surfers will appreciate that there is an ocean access to a surf break from the property with an outdoor shower. There is a surfboard rack in the building's basement. It has been newly decorated with care to reflect the peace and the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands.
