2nd time staying at Sierra Pines Chalet - Perfect spot for our family of 4. Bunk beds and sledding in the backyard are a bit hit with the kids. Comfy, clean, and house has everything you need. Close to Bear Mountain and a short drive to town for groceries and restaurants etc. We'll be back next year.
Everything was absolutely perfect. We are a family of four and our dog and it was very cozy and welcoming. The location was perfect and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Communication for check in was great as well.
The cabin and owners were lovely. Great location for hiking. One drawback was that the fenced in yard had a very low section that my dogs could easily jump over and get out, so it wasnât as secure as we hoped, but overall good experience. I would just keep in mind that medium to large dogs can easily get out of the yard if not very closely supervised.
A cozy cabin in a quiet neighborhood was perfect for the two of us and our dog. Check-in was simple with a notebook there to explain all the procedures and amenities. There was even a little goody basket waiting for us. The lake and village was a short drive away, with plenty of "dog friendly" places to visit. All in all a nice stay for a short get away.
This little home is so lovely! It has a beautiful forest right in its backyard. Great sledding, hills! Two bedrooms with four bunkbeds in one, which is great for a small family. And a lovely hot tub in the backyard. Itâs not super fancy, but itâs really lovely and really reasonable!
Perfect getaway spot for family of 4...the bunk beds and sled-able hill in the backyard were a hit! This cabin had everything we needed for our short stay. Check in and check out were super easy, all via email/text (no need to wait in line at a property mgmt office!). Quick drive to Bear Mtn lot. The kids are already talking about another visit.
We had a wonderful stay at the Sierra Pines Chalet. It was our first time taking the kids to the snow and we couldn't be happier with the space. There are hills of snow right in the backyard that are great for sledding and playing and there are plenty of sleds and shovel in their outdoor storage. The location is a bit out of the main city but we didn't mind it, it was so peaceful and quiet. The hot tub was definitely our favorite part of the trip. We got in multiple times a day and it was literally magical to sit in it in the middle of a winter wonderland while relaxing in the tub. Check-in was easy and convenient and there were plenty of pots, pans and condiments for us to cook for our short stay. The only bummer was there was no starter fire wood so we did not use the fireplace, which was totally fine because the heater was sufficient. Also the TV in the bedroom kept glitching and resetting after using it a while, but we mostly watched the Roku in the living room. If you are planning a stay maybe bring your own streaming player for the main bedroom TV. We brought our own gaming device to plug into the HDMI and had a lot of fun. The washer/dryer was also very convenient as we threw the towels in there after each use to dry/warm them so we didn't run out, but keep in mind it's a all-in-one steam appliance so they don't come out feeling "dry" but after hanging for 10 minutes or so they are fine. All in all, a great trip and looking forward to coming back next year!
This is our second time staying at Christine's cabin, and it's really just perfect. The location is on a quiet street just outside the main part of town, and the cabin has all you need for a small group. Clean, well stocked and very comfortable.
Perfect little place by the slopes. 5 minute drive to Bear Mountain. The place was extremely tidy and the communication with the property manager was amazing. Plenty of fridge space and coffee at the ready. We didnât use the jacuzzi but we could hear it going. Closet space was limited but there was cubby space if you wanted to spread out which is why itâs ideal for a < week stay. The pet area was nice as it was blocked off so even our 35 lb golden mix wasn't able to get out or jump the wall as we let her out to relieve herself.
This property was just what I needed to get away. All the amenities including fully stocked fire wood to keep the fireplace going strong. Highly recommend.
