Perched up high on a private road, The Ridge is a 3 bed room 2 bath newly constructed modern farmhouse with mountain views. Relax & dine outdoors on the wrap around deck & discover all of the comforts of home inside the open concept living space. Set on 5 mountainside acres, 3 minutes from Roxbury town & 10 min to wedding venues. Outdoor adventures await, with 4 season activities at nearby ski mountains, hiking, golf, farmers markets & culinary tours!

You should have some familiarity with the Catskills OR with homes in natural environments. You will be on a mountain surrounded by miles of forrest, while only 3 min to quaint Roxbury town. There are neighbors nearby on our private road so you won’t feel isolated or alone. This home is set up to be a chic-oasis in the middle of rustic natural beauty. Wildlife and insects are part of that outdoor experience. Guests need to be comfortable with nature and understand that food can't be left outdoors.

HOUSE RULES (must read before booking to determine if we are the right fit)
- We are a NO shoes house. Damage and stains will incur fees. (bring cozy slippers!)
- Winter months (Dec 1. - March 31) you must have 4WD -OR- an AWD vehicle WITH Snow Tires. Our road is 1/4 mile up a gradual incline, snow is plowed regularly but hard-packed snow accumulates.
- Our gravel driveway is also plowed but packed snow and can get slippery - guests are expected to take caution and wear the proper footwear for snow.
- No Smoking, cigarette butts found on property will incur fees.
- No Pets , No parties or events.
- Visitors to be confirmed w/ host, not to exceed 8 people, including guests.
- Photo / Video shoots require a release & usage to be negotiated separately.
- Must be 25 years old to book. (Photo ID may be required).
- Check in time during winter months is between 3pm and 6pm.
- Children (under 18) must be supervised by an adult indoors and outdoors.
- Doors must be kept closed. Use windows with screens only.
- Food / garbage should not be left outside, as it will attract bears.
- Proper foot ware should be outdoors on lawn and deck at all times.
- Mud season in the Catskills is the end of March through April and AWD is recommended, as are boots and an understanding that there will be mud.
- In much of the Catskills including the area surrounding our home there is limited cell service. We have High speed WiFi for calls as well as a land line.

DESCRIPTION:
Your journey begins as you gradually ascend up the private dirt and gravel road. When you arrive you are greeted by beautiful mountain and valley views surrounded by nature.

Inside the airy living space you will find 20’ vaulted ceilings, oak beams and a wall of picture windows framing the views beyond. You may not want to leave your perch, especially during winter - simply turn on the gas fireplace and relax. Step outside onto the wrap around deck and take in the fresh mountain air, a perfect place to start the day with a morning coffee.
Head out for all-season fun at Plattekill Mountain (8 mi) (skiing / mountain biking, mountaintop yoga), or hook up with a tour group at Roxbury General (2 mi) to explore local farms and breweries.
Experience farm to table at its best, and pick up provisions from nearby farms to whip up meals in your fully equipped kitchen. During warmer months dine under the stars and enjoy dimmable porch lighting which surrounds the deck. End the evening around the fire-pit and toast up some s'mores or get cozy inside and play board games around the fire. There are two smart TV’s (one in the Living room and one in the main bedroom), for you to stream your favorite shows, we provide Hulu live TV as well as Netflix log in's for you.

Rest comfortably in the cozy bedrooms with extra soft linens. The two guest rooms on the main floor both have queen beds. The large bedroom upstairs is private on its own floor with a king bed and an ensuite bath with extra deep soaking tub.
