This property is a complete gem! We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location, beauty of the property and rustic, yet elegant accommodations. Check- in and communication were seamless. Everything was very clean and as advertised in the listing. We hope to visit again soon!

This barn felt exactly like it was described. Wonderful views in a rustic structure and setting. It was very clean and had everything we needed. No AC (didn't need it), multiple bathrooms, great outdoor shower, plenty of space in the common area, lovely kitchen with great views and a near constant breeze, and plenty of garage storage for our bikes and beach stuff. Our kids loved watching the horses on the neighboring parcel and the location let us bike all over. We really enjoyed it and the property manager was very responsive and provided some great tips when asked. We would stay here again. Thank you!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Barn! It was incredibly relaxing, with a gorgeous setting that made it easy to truly unplug and unwind. The kitchen was fantastic and very well suited for cooking and enjoying meals at the property.The sleeping silo was especially lovely, with a beautiful breeze at night. Just a note that the third floor bedroom doesn’t have a door, so there isn’t much privacy. The loft also got a bit warm since there is no AC, but these were minor considerations in an otherwise wonderful stay.The horses on the property were such a delightful bonus and really added to the experience. Carolyn was also incredibly communicative, responsive, and easy to reach throughout our stay.Overall, a truly special and peaceful getaway…we would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful and Peaceful Setting

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay! The property boasted gorgeous landscaping and relaxing views. Nearby access to the Greenway Trail was an unexpected bonus. The owner, Peter, was delightful and very kind. We really enjoyed getting to know him and his dog Henry!

Rustic Barn with beautiful walking trails nearby

Carolyn was wonderful to work with. She answered all of our questions and was a wonderful host for our time away at the Barn. The property details accurately describe that this setting is best for teens and adults to navigate due to the spiral staircases and built in wooden ladder to access the bedrooms. The main living space is filled with light with huge windows overlooking the peaceful property and two horses that come into sight as they graze through the day. We enjoyed our time here and would come back to the Barn. The walking trails nearby are beautiful. The landscaping of both the main house and the Barn did take place during our stay. Although this is required, the equipment is located under the barn in the main living space.

This home was beyond all I had imagined for our week on Block Island. Cozy , rustic, peaceful and full of interesting history. Beautiful neighbors and 2 horses to watch at a seating area overlooking their pasture. We enjoyed the bustle of the harbors, sandy clean beaches and gorgeous walking trails and then returning to this amazing home for a relaxing evening. Carolyn our host was wonderful making certain we had every comfort desired. She was super prompt with a reply when I had any questions. You want a vacation that encompasses everything... here it is.

Terrific Quirky Place

Beautiful property and stunning view. This is a quirky house in an old barn and hay tower. Idyllic setting and a huge living room in the barn. Lots of charm. Bedrooms are up narrow staircases and 1 is up ladder stairs in the old hayloft so not for over 65 or very little kids but totally charming. The place leaks in the kitchen during heavy rains but we were told those leaks will be fixed in 2023 and we had only 1 rainy day so loved it.

Best kept Secret on block Island

Very special location and property. Have rented many homes on block Island over the years and none compare with the peace and tranquility of Woods Barn.

Fabulous eclectic barn!

There could not be a more wonderful place to stay on the island than Peter Wood's barn. It's warm, cozy, magical...It's full of art and history. The kitchen has everything needed for delicious meals under the grape arbor and the interior tower rooms are relaxing with many windows for cool breezes! We could not have enjoyed a lovelier week!
