This cozy cottage embodies all that Block Island was, while being close to everything Block Island is today- 100 yards to town, 200 yards to ferry, 300 yards to beach. Situated on the property of one of the island's oldest inns this quaint 3 bedroom bungalow was designed and hand built by one of Block Island's most cherished architects. Nestled on a hill, you'll be away from the hustle and bustle but immediate access to it all. Walk to breakfast, walk to lunch, walk to dinner. Plus, Ocean Views from both 2nd floor bedrooms!

We had a wonderful stay. Location is perfect. An easy walk down into town and also just across the street from our favorite place for a drink and dinner ... the Atlantic. Douglas was extremely helpful with all my many questions. Thank you. We would definitely stay here again.

Love the White House

We’ve been coming to BI for over 20 years and this was our first time in town. The house is adorable with a nice fenced in yard for our pup. This is a well-stocked home having all the kitchen essentials. The owner and caretaker were both incredibly accommodating.

The White House/ The Big House

We stayed in very comfortable accommodations for the holiday weekend. The house exceeded our expectations and the owner was easily accessible and very generous! The location was close to the old harbor and we had beautiful views of the pristine water. I would highly recommend staying here.

Fabulous Stay!

We stayed for a quiet, end of summer vacation, and it was perfect in every way. It was our first time visiting Block Island and will definitely be returning to this sweet home! The beds were very comfortable. Gorgeous, peaceful location and close enough to walk to town, which everyone loved! Our host, Douglas was very easy to communicate with! Thank you!

Sweet retreat

We had had a fantastic week at this property. Douglas and Jostin were very responsive and accommodating. Three nice bedrooms, two full bathrooms, plenty of air conditioning and a nice yard. Great location with an easy walk to town and many dining options. The house could use a few updates, but is wonderful as it is.

Start to summer

Property is as described has a great little fenced in area in the back for your dog. Huge propane grill very modern washer drier. Has a dishwasher A/C throughout. Two full baths plus an out door shower Walking distance to town. Wood burning fire pit in back yard really made it. Great vacation and would rent again.

Sweet Block Island cottage getaway

My friend and I adored “our” little cottage. It was charming. The living room sitting area was very welcoming. Our beds were comfortable and the linens were so fresh and smelled great. I loved the art work and charm in every room. We cooked most of our meals there which was great! We really liked being able to walk into town even though we had a car. The cottage was quiet, close to town and the ocean breeze was so nice throughout the house. We will return!

Quiet home close to old harbor

The beds are comfortable and it is quiet at night. The house is in a complex with several other houses but that was not a problem. When we arrived we had some issues with the house but the owner is very responsive and addressed them immediately. The house has air condtioning throughout. There are at least 3 windows in the house that don’t stay open (they fall down immediately). They require a stick to prop open. There are lovely breezes so having windows open is nicer than air conditioning.it is an easy walk to Atlantic and Spring Hotels.

The White House!

We arrived early and the extremely nice cleaning people let us use the bathroom and drop off a few things, it was so appreciated especially with an 18 month old! The owner called soon after and let me know the house was all set which was wonderful. It was a perfect sized home with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and an awesome outside shower. The backyard was all fenced in which was perfect! The air conditioning was great as there were some very hot days. I was grateful not to have to bring my own linens and there’s plenty of toiletry given. The bath towels were so nice too! The walk to the ferry and shops is so close by. Also the farm is close too and was so fun to go and pet the animals. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to go back next summer. Thank you!

Perfect location for our girls trip!

A group of 6 of us came to celebrate a 50th birthday. We couldn’t get a vehicle pass for the ferry, so we hoofed up the hill to the house. It was a short walk from the ferry. We rented bicycles and rode or walked all over the island. The house was a perfect home base for our adventures. It’s isn’t a luxury home, but Spring clean, comfortable, has all the things we needed for a long weekend, and the location couldn’t be beat. There were houses close by with guests also celebrating their own events, so there was a good amount of activity. We liked that. If you are looking for super quiet, this may not be the spot for you. It wasn’t at all rowdy or anything like that. We may have been the noisy group, chatting around the fire pit in the evenings. The fire pit was ready to go for us when we got there, which was a nice surprise and a thoughtful touch. All we really needed to do was light it. The house was clean and comfortable. Douglas’ communication was outstanding! The Atlantic and The Spring House are just across the way and are both excellent dining experiences. The walk to the main drag with shops and restaurants was very short. There is the hill, so if mobility is an issue for anyone in your group, you may want to make sure you have a vehicle. We all agreed we would stay there again, and probably will.

Wonderful Block Island Cottage

We had a great 7 day stay at the cottage. Our family of four adults had plenty of room to enjoy. The house has everything you need and the owner is very responsive and helpful. It's charm and great location make it a very fun place to stay. We definitely will return.
