Great place to stay

We had a wonderful time here. The house is adorable and our fur babies loved having the fenced in yard. It’s close to all the shops, and restaurants. Also a short drive to the beach.

Wonderful home

Quiet neighborhood, wonderful home with everything you might need. Very comfortable beds and private fenced in yard in back. Nice to enjoy the laid back vibe of SSI and nearby Jekyll Island.

Great house, great location

My wife, our golden retriever and I had a very nice stay in between Christmas and New Year's. The house is nicely set up and is very convenient to most of St. Simons. Our host was very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend the property.

Great location and quiet neighborhood

The house is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. The house was nicely equipped with everything we needed and a nice yard for the dogs to romp in. Will definitely stay here again.

Great getaway

Pictures don't do the property justice - it is nicer in person! We enjoyed our stay immensely. It was a great location and so much close by - the beach, shopping, food and anything you would need. The owner communicated quickly and was most helpful. We would definitely stay again. The only small downside (and we do understand) was keeping the dogs off the furniture and beds. They are used to being on those at home. We called it the "dance" for the first few days... fortunately they are well behaved dogs and obey! LOL. We loved the fenced in backyards and so did the dogs. It was a very comfortable place to stay!

Great for us and our dog

We were looking for a place where we could bring our dog and be close to our daughter who lives on the Island. Nice lay out and comfortable. Owner was very responsive and forgiving when we reported that we broke the coffee pot. Sorry about that.

Great place to stay on St. Simons Island!

Loved staying at this property! As soon as you walk in, it just smelled fresh and clean. Very spacious. Plenty of room for our family. Just a lovely home. It is centrally located on the island, so it is just a short drive to the beach, the Village, shopping, movies, etc. Also has a nice little back yard to enjoy, including a gas grill for grilling out. Would recommend this home to anyone! Definitely would consider staying here again on a return trip to the island!

Loved it!!!

This home is our home away home! We love staying here. The neighborhood is very quiet and good location. Love how the house is set up, the master bedroom is on the opposite side of house. It has a good backyard and laundry room. Love having 3 bathrooms too!

St. Simons getaway

House was beautiful and very well furnished. Great setup for us with the master on one side and the children on the other. Very centrally located. Minutes to Beach and dining out. Host was very communicative and always informative. A great place to stay with the family and enjoy St. Simons!

Amazing Stay!

My family and I spent a weekend in St Simons at Sharon's property. It's a beautiful home in a great and safe neighborhood. It's in a prime location on the island, super close to most of the restaurants and stores. We were able to walk to a lot of places which was great. Quiet at night. The home itself is well maintained and spacious with a large backyard area and good parking. Sharon was easy to communicate with and super helpful. There were plenty of accessories and items available for us during our stay. We really loved this place and would definitely come back again!

Spring Break with Family

This location was ok, but there are issues with communication and a document you have to sign days before check in. This leaves little to no time to change location, because everything is booked. We have a property on the other "big" site and do not require renters to sign this ridiculous contract for short term day/weekly rental. This document should at least be made shorter and more applicable. It requests for a check or credit card number to be sent outside VRBO. There was not enough time to send the check because it was not requested in a timely manner. I ended up asking for the extra fee/damage deposit to be charged within VRBO instead of outside of VRBO. 8 days later I checked with my credit card company and it had still not been refunded. I had to request the refund. It was refunded at that point. I would never stay here due to not receiving my money back in a timely manner. Also, there are inconsistencies with check in time listed on VRBO and when you can actually check in. There is also mention of a cleaning fee amount in the listing, but you get charged a differnt amount for the cleaning fee when you start really analyzing all the wording in the listing. Also, we were sent an e-mail outside VRBO explaining issues with the property in order to be "transparent" and told we would be refunded a certain percent due to these issues (not listing those issues here, but told they were taking the property down to make repairs). No communication on that refund yet. Trying to give factual feedback as I can here. The Keurig leaked and was not usable. Gas grill ran out of propane in the middle of cooking the first night. As for the backyard, it needs to have a lot of leaf litter removed. We saw a snake crawl right past one of our dogs while he was out there. Leaves were almost as high as the porch (in that area). My husband swept the back porch leaves off. I do not like communicating outside of VRBO for payments. Positives: Home was centrally located. Liked that they seemed to cater to being dog friendly. Home was cute. Easy to walk your dogs in this neighborhood.

Listing is accurate. Kitchen is well equipped for making meals at home. We biked all over the island from the house including the beach and village. Overall pleased.

A wonderful house in a wonderful location!

This house was so comfortable, clean, and well stocked! The pictures honestly don’t do it justice. We stayed here for a week and honestly wish we had booked for longer. The location is perfectly situated in the middle of everything we wanted to do on St. Simons. Sharon was super responsive and so easy to work with! We will definitely see if this house is available for our next visit.

Beautiful Home

The beach home was incredibly charming and comfortable. It was perfect for two couples with room to spare. The location was convenient to everything we needed and Sharon was so responsive and helpful. We will definitely return next time we visit SSI.

Instant Comfort

The moment you walk through the door you feel at home. Nothing is yours, but it’s all familiar; the comfy couches, kitchen gadgets and dishes, welcome basket, and really anything else you can imagine. The layout worked perfectly for two separate groups, and the proximity to East Beach meant minutes to arrive beachside. Host is kind, considerate, and quick to respond. We’ll be back!

We loved the house, the neighborhood, the closeness to everything, & the fact our 17 yr old and her friend could go and do whatever they wanted. Oh another fun fact, our senior dog enjoyed all of it as well!! Loved SSI. Sharon was amazing!!!!!

Great spot for initial visit

Our first visit. Location central to St. Simon so good for island discovery. Access to key stores, restaurants, beach, golf courses excellent. Good for dogs re fenced back yard, multiple walk opportunities outside the front door. Grill ignition did not appear to work, but only issue with function.

Wonderful Property

Our family had a great time at this property. Very clean and comfortable with lots of great extras like, beach towels, filtered water, and a fire pit. Great location, lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance as well as a quick bike ride to the beach. I look forward to visiting this home again!

Thanksgiving 2021

We enjoyed our stay in your home. Thank you for helping us to create memories. My nieces played board games and we enjoyed the fire pit the first night. We watched the AU/AL game, too. We visited the lighthouse and WWII museum during our stay and that was a big hit with the dads! The kids also played a game of put-put. :) Checking in and out was easy and Sharon was quick to respond. Thank you again!!

My husband and I purchased this house 8 years ago for our future retirement. In the meantime, it’s been rented to family members and long term renters. We just love St Simons and our little house! It’s a nice open floor plan with plenty of space for 6 people comfortably and the location is perfect. Close to everything but off of beautiful Old Demere Road and on a quiet street. We have 2 labs who love the beach here so pets are definitely welcomed upon approval!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We are 1.3 miles to Coast guard beach, 2 miles to the Village with its shops restaurants and the Pier and Lighthouse and only 1/2 mile to Redfern Village, Winn Dixie and lots of shops and restaurants. We have a nice private fenced in yard with a firepit !

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We use this house alot so we made sure it has everything that we would want and need and that means it comes well stocked for our guests. We want it to feel like home when our guests stay!
