The first thing to know is thereâs no working hot tub, even though the listing says there is. The one on the property looks like itâs been closed for a long time.We couldn't figure out how to turn on the fireplace. We tried everything, removing the facade, checking for switches or levers but nothing. Vacasa couldnât find directions for us either. The condo itself is spacious and well located, but the furnishings and and carpet are worn and the overall vibe is dated and sort of sad. The matresses are cheap.But by far the worst was the construction happening directly beneath the building, right behind our assigned parking spot. Workers were jackhammering until 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday and planned to keep going Sunday. It was unbearable, and it didnât feel safe to be there. There were no other tenants in the building or cars.We contacted Vacasa right away, but it took hours for them to offer another place and the alternative was a complete dump. We were told that was all they could offer.So, we hauled our luggage between three different condos and by 9 p.m., 6 hours after checking in, we gave up on Vacasa and booked another condo ourselves. It was nicer and the same price. Vacasa did give us a full refund.Vacasa doesnât have a local contact for renters. You have to go through their main call center, who then contacts the âlocal team,â getting help takes a long time. We recommend you keep looking, there are much nicer places to stay for about the same .
