We love this location â you canât get closer to the beach and there is plenty of room for all.
Condo has 1,266 sq ft. There are 2 bedrooms + 2 full baths and 3 beds. Sleeps 5 total.
This is a 2-story unit on the beach.
Upstairs level features:
-The living/dining room (with a Smart TV) opens up to the amazing second floor private balcony - you'll be able to hear the surf, people watch, and simply relax looking through the large picture window with nothing to obscure your view. Note: Fireplace is inoperable.
-A fully equipped kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher and bar stool seating at kitchen counter.
-1 guest bedroom with a Queen bed.
-1 Full Bathroom (shower only).
Lower/Beach level features:
-A Family Room and access to the patio/deck with outdoor dining table. A mini fridge in family room provides extra beverage storage. Note: this patio/deck is not completely private.
-The master suite with a queen bed, an ensuite bathroom, Cable TV, and tons of closet space. Inside Master Bedroom closet, there is a Pack n Play for families with a small child.
-A twin captain's bed is located in the entrance hallway of the master suite. A door separates the master suite from the twin bed area. This is also where the washer and dryer are located. Please contact us if you have questions.
HEATING (no air conditioning):
There is NO central air conditioning, central heat or functioning fireplace in the condo. The ocean breeze is constant and fresh, but during heat waves the condo can be warm. Extra air circulation is provided by ceiling fans installed in each room. An extra portable fan is provided as well. Portable radiant heaters provide warmth for cool nights.
BEACH EQUIPMENT:
We have beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, misc. beach games and sand toys available for your use.
COMMUNITY AMENITIES:
-The complex has a community BBQ (availability or operation cannot be guaranteed during your stay)
-An outdoor shower is located inside the complex beach gate. Great for rinsing off beach toys or sandy feet!
PARKING:
Unit comes with one guaranteed/designated parking spot. One additional guest parking is available on a first come first serve basis and permit is required. Street parking is often available within designated markings.
If you've never been to Carlsbad, you are in for a treat. The Village has shopping, great restaurants for any taste, and personality. The beach is large with lots of soft sand and offers all types of water sports from boogie boarding to paddle boarding to swimming to snorkeling to surfing and splashing, it's up to you. Explore the coast by walking down one of the paved walkways (one by the sand, one by the street) or rent a bike and use the dedicated bike lanes.
Legoland is a short drive from our apartment as is the Museum of Making Music. San Diego isn't far away with the San Diego Zoo, USS Midway, Balboa Park and museums, the Star of India, and more...
You can travel any way you choose from the condo -- you'll have one designated parking spot if you drive. Buses run right by the condo and Lyft, Uber, and taxi service is readily available.
Home Truths:
-Condo does not have Air Conditioning but ceiling fans and ocean breezes. No central heating but 2 portable radiant heaters and cozy blankets are available. Fireplace is inoperable.
-This is a two-story condo on the Beach â Guests will be required to walk down several outdoor stairways to reach condo entrance. There is one interior staircase; guests should be cautious of infants near interior and exterior railings and stairs. Guests are encouraged to baby proof as they see fit.
-Another condo of similar size is located above the main level. At times, footsteps can be heard.
-Condo is on the beach. The lower patio and complex deck are separated from the public beach by the complex gate. On major holidays and summer weekends, space on the beach is in high demand.
-Condo comes with one guaranteed/assigned parking spot. Guest parking is on a first come first serve basis with permit (one permit can be provided).

RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONSÂ
Definitions:Â
"My People". Shall include myself, my spouse, legal partner, guests, invitees, licensees, children, wards, heirs, assigns, personal representatives and estate, if any.Â
NO REFUNDS - Even the best or newest home has equipment that may occasionally malfunction and cannot be guaranteed operational 100% of the time. We promise to act immediately to remedy any issues, however, we do not relocate or issue refunds due to malfunctioning equipment or any other guest dissatisfaction or due to construction noise or any other items out of our control, unless the home is considered uninhabitable.
- All rentals with 28+ nights require a rental agreement signed naming and identifying all adult occupants (must present valid ID).
No one likes rules, least of all, us -- but we do have a few requirements so that the home is in as perfect a shape for each guest as possible.
-Please respect check-in and checkout times. Check-in: 4pm-10pm. Checkout: 10am
-Primary renter must be over the age of 25, have a fully verified profile and previous positive reviews.
-Host may request a photocopy of renter's ID for verification before check-in.
-This is a private property and the host reserves the right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter.
Pet Policy:
-Only one adult dog allowed (up to 50lbs) per stay
-Dog must be house trained and cannot be left alone or on furniture
-Pet fee is non refundable
-Guests assumes full responsibility for all and any damage caused by the pets during the stay
Pet fees should be paid before check-in.
Late Checkout Policy
Guests must check out by the designated checkout time specified in the rental agreement. Late checkouts without prior approval will incur fees to cover costs including, but not limited to, waiting times for cleaning crews, canceled or delayed cleaning appointments, hardships on arriving guests (e.g., delayed check-ins or compensation), additional wear and tear on the property, and increased utility usage (e.g., electricity, water, or HVAC). The fees, based on the duration past the checkout time, are as follows:
âą Less than 1 hour: 10% of the nightly rate or $100, whichever is greater.
âą 1-2 hours: 15% of the nightly rate or $250, whichever is greater.
âą More than 2 hours: Full nightly rate.
To avoid fees, guests are encouraged to coordinate with us in advance for late checkout requests. Approved late checkouts are subject to availability and may incur additional charges as agreed upon. These fees are designed to compensate for disruptions to property turnover and operational costs, and we will provide documentation (e.g., cleaning schedules, guest complaints) upon request to ensure transparency.
Additional Cleaning Policy
Guests are expected to leave the property in a reasonably clean condition, consistent with normal use. Any cleaning required beyond what is considered normal or reasonable, as determined by the property management, will result in an additional cleaning fee of $100 per hour. This fee covers costs such as extended cleaning times or specialized cleaning needs. Examples of excessive cleaning needs include, but are not limited to, excessive trash, stains or spills requiring professional treatment, pet hair in non-pet-friendly units, or other conditions requiring significant labor. We will make every effort to accurately reflect the additional work needed and the time required to complete it, providing documentation (e.g., photos, cleaning logs) upon request to ensure transparency.
Important Fee Disclosure for Long-Term Stays (30+ Days):
Should this property be reserved for 28 days or more, we reserve the right to apply additional monthly fees to cover certain ongoing expenses (eg utilities) not included in the standard nightly rate.
These may include, but are not limited to:
âą Gas and electricity
âą Water and sewer
âą Trash and recycling
âą Internet and streaming services
âą Other utility or maintenance surcharges applicable to the home which will be known prior to the time of booking
These fees may be assessed as either:
âą A flat monthly fee, or
âą A fee calculated as up to 5% of the monthly rent.
Such fees may be collected directly through the Airbnb platform or invoiced separately as permitted by Airbnb policy. For estimation purposes, please assume an additional fee equal to 5% of the monthly rent unless otherwise specified in advance.
