Imagine sitting on the deck overlooking the water, sipping a cold drink, and watching the sun set – what could be better? This unique stilt home is a 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath loft home nestled in a quaint, quiet community of 15 duplex units.

The home features a luxurious king bed in the loft, and a pull out couch downstairs. Step onto the back deck to enjoy serene views of the canal and boat dock. A tributary leads to the Salt River and Crystal River, just 2 miles away from the gulf or the springs.

Take a refreshing dip in the pool, just steps from your door, or stroll along the boardwalk throughout the grounds, offering a unique nature walk right on the premises. For beach lovers, a five-minute drive will take you to the public beach, while a public boat landing is conveniently located just one mile away.

With laundry machines in the unit and a kitchen stocked with cookware and small appliances, you'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nightly stays are available with a minimum of 3 nights (off-season has 2-night minimums), as well as weekly or monthly rentals.

Guests are welcome to bring their boat, though trailer parking and boat dockage are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that boats must not exceed 22 feet in length, including the engine, and require a rope for dock tie-off and an anchor for rear tie-off. No power poles are used in canal. Please talk to host if bringing a boat for more information.

For the comfort of all guests, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the unit. Additionally, please note that the unit is not kid-friendly for children under 12, and does not accommodate pets. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests.

Exactly what I hoped for!!

The place was exactly what I wanted in our stay. Clean, laid back environment, not crowded, nice pool, on the water and secluded but not too far from the places we wanted to see. April had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Can’t wait to come back!!

Work/play getaway

Was looking for a place to stay, preferably on or close to the water to get some work done and close enough to Crystal River to explore a new area for me. The rental was a very good fit for me and I was able to get a lot done. Nice area. Great hosts. A very nice stay.

Fantastic stay near the manatees

Husband and I booked a last minute stay. Property was exactly as described and perfect for the two of us. Quick drive to everything and property host provided great info before and during our stay!

April was very accommodating while our stay, and everything was great! The bungalow was a perfect location to visit my family who were staying at the RV park five minutes away. It is a well-stocked place to stay and everything was very clean. It is minutes from Crystal River and the ocean park!!

April was a great host, her condo is clean, well stocked and very comfortable. Unit is right next to the pool and right on the water. Great location, great people and always a great time. Looking forward to our next visit!

Barely six months have passed since we were here last. (All the way from the UK). Will forever be our first choice accommodation in Crystal River. Peace & Quiet, friendly locals and a super pool to cool off in.

A few days relaxing in Crystal River...

Highly recommend!!! I spent three nights here visiting with my brother & family (they own a condo here). Beautiful condo, right by the pool and a nice deck where we ate our evening meals. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room. Comfortable bed. Nice pool with plenty of chairs and tables. We brought our kayaks. Rented a boat one day from the marina just down the road. In the evening, drove down to the gulf beach to watch the sunset. April is a lovely host, communicated well regarding check-in, check-out, and details about the condo. I live just over an hour away, but felt like I was a world away. Had a much needed relaxing and restful stay. I plan to stay here again. BTW, plenty of nice restaurants: Seafood Seller & Crab plant have great seafood! Crackers is nice for sitting outside...food ok... Or take a drive to Homassassa and eat at The Freezer - get steamed shrimp and smoked mullet dip...cash only.

Not as advertised

We do feel the unit was a little misrepresented in the VRBO description (and therefore not the value we paid for). When we booked, this listing showed the following items as amenities that were not there: (listing has been updated to remove these) • icemaker • dishwasher • dining table • cookware/dishware (the only dishes were small plates big enough for a sandwich-not for dinners) and no baking/cookie sheet to cook in the oven • Kayak ( was listed as property amenity- removed from listing). No storage in bedroom for clothing. Had to live out of suitcases except for items that would hang. Unit location was close to the parking lot and the pool. You could see both very clearly. HOWEVER, anyone in the parking lot or pool could see you if you were in the bedroom. The Host/owner listed in pics that the blinds had been removed from the large windows in the unit, but the reality of lack of privacy is not evident by the pics. I even spoke with the lady who watches the grounds and she said she could see into the bedroom from pool. This really was a problem for me as I could never walk to the bedroom to change clothes or dress after a shower without potentially being seen which was uncomfortable. We did ask about covering the windows after the first night and was told it was not possible and YES, we were offered the option to cancel with partial refund. We spent 2 weeks searching for a room before booking and 11 hours driving there. We didn't have it in us to search again.

Peace & quiet with squirrels for company.

We thoroughly enjoyed at stay at Sawgrass Landings. What a find! Pool at hand, absolutely everything provided to make our stay memorable. Can’t wait to come back.

Pup Friendly - Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at Sawgrass Landing. Such a neat and convenient location. We were able to bring our pup who was really fascinated with all the nature around us. Loved seeing the osprey building a nest right across the street from the entrance. We were visiting with friends in Crystal River and the location couldn't have been better. The unit was small, but perfect. The kitchen and bath had been updated and were very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again!

All the amenities, close to nature.

My wife and I were very comfortable here. Far enough from the main road with a feeling of being close to nature, but still close enough to everything. All the comforts of home, well decorated cozy condo. The upstairs has a really nice king bed and a full bath with a good sized closet, also a nice half bath on the first floor. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. We highly recommend!

Crystal River Trip

This is a very nice property. Great location. Ford Island Beach is a nice beach. It's not as large as a lot of beaches, but just as nice. The view from the condo is really nice and they provide lots of different spices, laundry supplies, and coffee.

I booked this for a much needed getaway for myself and my husband. The communication with the owner was on point from the beginning to the end of our trip. We had a wonderful time the house was fully stocked with everything needed we will definitely recommend this vacation rental to others.

Awesome Location. Awesome Place.

Stayed for a long weekend of fishing a d relaxing and The Last Resort was the perfect base of operations. The property has everything you need to make your stay hassle free. The property is close to boat ramps, a marina, and shrimp landing restaurant, where you can eat, load up on bait and tackle, or snag a charter. There is dock space and trailer parking with this unit and for this affordable price those amenities cannot be beat. You have a nice view of the tidal canal that leads out to Crystal River and then the springs are to the right, the gulf to the left. When the tide comes in, it actually goes underneath the units which I find to be totally cool. You're literally sleeping on top of the water. There is also a nice pool to cool off in if the beach that's 4 miles away isn't your thing. Checkin was a breeze and the owners are easy to reach with any questions or concerns you may have. I will definitely return to this one.

Very relaxing

If you are looking for a place away from the busy city life, this is it! It is so peaceful and quiet. Of course we went during the off season but we loved our time at Sawgrass Landing. April was very helpful and accommodating. I can’t want for the next trip down. We will stay there again.
