Farmhouse Estate with Pool,Entertainment Barn and Hot Tub in Suburban Indy

Woodside Retreat is a truly special 4 acre historic estate that is new to the short-term rental market. The property is truly one of kind, blending a history that dates back to 1861 with modern touches and amenities. This Indiana farmhouse, with ties to the Underground Railroad, has been thoughtfully furnished with comfort and heritage in mind. Imagine making memories with family, colleagues, or friends with an entertainment barn, in-ground pool/deck, custom pergola, fire pit, and beautiful open space.

Guest access

Guests are given access to all areas of the home except the locked off sections of the barn and the basement of the home for safety reasons.

Other things to note

Access in and out of the home will be through a coded electronic door lock.

The estate includes a finished barn for gathering and includes games like air hockey, skee ball, and ping pong. Please note that the barn is NOT centrally heated or cooled. In the cooler months, there are commercial grade propane heaters that heat well until about 25 degrees. Below that temperature, the heaters aren't able to sufficiently heat the space. Barn heaters are only to be utilized when actively using the space. Otherwise, the heat in home could be affected and additional charges could be applied. There is also a heated in-ground pool (seasonal) with a sizable pool deck and pergola and another pergola between the home and the pool.

House Rules

-All guests should abide by city noise ordinance rules (10 pm) and be respectful to neighbors. The home is in a quiet neighborhood with families.
-All wet pool clothes must be confined to bathrooms, laundry room, or provided clothing racks. This home has hardwood floors that date back to 1861 and are not to be damaged by pool clothes and towels.
-This home is a historic home with original elements. It is valuable to the owners and the community as one of the home/land to one of the original settlers of Westfield. The utmost of care must be provided to protect this home for future visitors and generations.
-The basement and locked off area of the barn is completely off-limits to guests. Cameras are in locked off areas to monitor.
-Beds that are utilized should be left unmade and are not to be stripped.
-Bonfires are permitted in designated areas only and fireworks are not permitted.
-Trash should be taken out to the outdoor bins behind the garage throughout the stay. Trash day is Tuesday. For guests here on a trash day, trash must be set by the curb. Otherwise, it could require an additional trash pickup fee.
-Pool considerations: The pool must be covered when not being used and at the end of the day. No glass, No diving, No foreign substances in the pool. Anticipate some pool testing and maintenance during your stay to ensure a safe and clean swimming environment.
-Furniture is not to be rearranged n the home unless prior permission is granted and furniture is moved by owner or property manager. This home is built in 1861. Please message the year"1861" to the property manager to ensure that you have reviewed these guidelines.
-Tampering with security cameras or doorbells is prohibited and will cancel the reservation, requiring an immediate departure.
-No parties or events.
-Guests are required to complete a rental agreement.
