Colorfully decorated condo to enjoy Maui sunsets. Building 9, Floor 2. Start your day with coffee on the lanai, then grab a provided beach towel and beach gear to hit the beach. Come home for a hot tub or swim; there's even a kiddie pool. Then go for a walk and enjoy Beach Street Shave Ice, or any number of restaurants in walking distance. There's even a clean, local bus that goes all the way to the shops at Wailea.
Check in 4 PM, Check out 10 AM.
Owner stays here with two kids and always has a blast.

We stayed for 11 nights (2 adults, 1 small child). Liz was great at responding to messages in a timely manner which is always appreciated. The condo has basics that you’d need and is in a great location across from beautiful beaches & parks. Unfortunately, there was a lot of construction going on which was very disruptive. We were told no construction would be happening in Liz’s building, but that turned out to be not true. Also, the lanai overlooks a busy service road to other condos, so road noise was also a factor in this review. Pros: location, amenities (pool, hot tub, gym), lots of parking available, beach supplies (chairs, umbrella, cooler, toys!)Cons: AC unit only in living room, construction noise, street noise, cleanliness

Everything you'll need

Liz's place had everything we needed for our trip. The place is equipped with comfortable furniture, a great lanai with a peek-a-boo view of the ocean (we saw lots of whales!), beach chairs, and air conditioning. The complex is across the street from a beach park and has a pool and hot tub onsite with great BBQ areas that we took advantage of for a family gathering.

Amazing Location with many amenities

This experience couldn’t have gone better! Great place, close to the beach, restaurants etc. Loved being able to walk across the street for the sunset every evening. The host was great and easy to work with. Major plus having two full sized bathrooms and the patio was fabulous. All the beach stuff graciously shared was awesome!!!! Saving all my pennys to go back again someday.

Close to the beach

Comfortable space for two, no place to store bike rentals that we could find. Not a ton of light in the unit as the photos represent, but not a big deal as we didn’t spend a lot of time in the unit. Local beaches and access was great. Lifeguards working all the beaches, which was comforting as well. Great location!

Great way to spend a week in Maui!

My family and I loved our stay at Liz's place. It was adorable, well-kept, and so conveniently located! The second bathroom is a huge plus. Liz very kindly includes everything you need for a nice day at the beach -- beach chairs, towels, a cooler for drinks. This was my first stay in Kihei and based on this experience I will gladly come back again. Great communication with Liz too, she always got back to me fast if I had to message with any questions!

Lovely Two Weeks

Enjoyed our stay in this very sweet apartment. Felt very much at home. Had everything we needed and the few tiny issues we had were immediately addressed by Liz and the front desk staff. The complex is beautifully maintained and the location is great. Would definitely recommend.

Family getaway

Overall, the stay and condo was great. Great location, updated furniture and appliances. Only thing was the floors were dirty. Used to taking our shoes off in the house and quickly realized we couldn't do that.

Great stay in Kihei

This condo's location is phenomenal! Right across from Kam Beach II, short walk to local restaurants and a short drive to Wailia. The grounds are well kept, the pool is clean and there are two hot tubs as well. The gym is in an older room but why workout indoors when you can run a beach front path? A quick note on entrances; there are three entrances two of which are gated with a code. Use the non-gated main entrance the first day and check in will give you a code for the gates.

Great spot for a trip to Kihei

We had a great time while at Liz’s unit at the Kameole Sands. We have been coming to the Kameole Sands for a long time, and love the area. Liz was incredibly responsive to our requests and ensured we had everything we needed. The unit has had some wear and tear, however this did not impact our overall trip in any way! Recommend a stay for sure!

Almost perfect stay/ needed a few modifications

Pros: Great location and right across from beach. Spacious condo and the 2 full bathrooms was a huge plus. Renovated living space, floors and kitchen. Communication with host was very reliable prior to arrival and check in. Grounds of property was excellent with good amenities. Parking spot was included. Useful washer/dryer and dish washer. We used a few times with no difficulty. Cons: Late check in past listed time as House keeping was not completed. Lobby check in was smooth but could not go to condo until after 5pm when check in was listed at 4pm. There was mold in primary bathroom shower off bedroom. Dirty dishes found in drawers in kitchen. Which we ended up cleaning ourselves. House keeping could of done a better job at checking cooking utensils and organizing drawers.

Convenience that can't be beat. Excellent host.

This property is located in Kihei, literally across the street from Kamaole Beach III, which is super convenient and probably our favorite beach (Kamaole Beach I was better, but can walk there as well). We were able to walk to the beach. It is located right next to shops and restaurants and you can walk to most. The apartment was clean, well kept, and well stocked. The building itself is old, and some of the electrical outlets are nonfunctioning, but nothing major. The host, Liz, is amazing. We did have a small hiccup with the fancy digital door lock not cooperating with us, but this gave us an opportunity to meet Christie, the property manager, who is walking Maui-guidebook. She provided lots of great tips that we spent more than an hour chatting her up absorbing her tips on our first day. Liz more than made up for that small inconvenience with a very thoughtful gesture! If there were things missing Christie and Liz immediately attended to it. Despite all the great things, I will outline a few (minor) shortcomings to set expectations for other guests. One major nag is that WiFi is terrible at this location, and I think the WiFi router is probably old and weak and needs replacing. It didn't really bother us much but something that can be addressed. The building is somewhat dated, and the electrical outlets or hit or miss, but nothing that really cannot be addressed. The dishwasher was not working for us, but I'm confident it will be fixed after we left (again, didn't bother us since we hand washed our dishes). Otherwise, superb location, great apartment and hosts that went above and beyond. I would gladly rent this location again! Mahalo Liz and Christie!

Perfect Family Getaway

Updated and well-kept condo is in prime location for super easy beach access (3 minute walk), eateries and shopping. Great snorkeling just 5-7 drive. Nice size condo with large outdoor patio, sufficient for 9-day stay for family of 4, including 2 teens. The host was super attentive to any questions we had. The resort has beautiful tennis courts that were available whenever we wanted them. We would stay at this condo again in a heartbeat! We also found Kihei to have so many options for beaches that gave us the variety we needed.

Anniversary Trip

The property was a wonderful location to spend our anniversary on Maui. The location is close to beaches, shops, golf courses, and restaurants. This was our first visit to Maui and the property Owner was extremely helpful in suggesting activities and restaurants while on the island. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Comfortable and Beautiful Condo!

This condo was perfect for our three kids aged 12, 14 and 16. We love the proximity to the pool, beach and bus stop! The condo has tons of linens and a surprisingly comfortable blow up mattress for one person. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil imaginable. The lanai seemed to be larger than other units and included a view of the ocean. We’ve stayed at other Kamaole Sand units, and this one is a favorite! Thank you to the owner for prompt and informative communications.

Amazing condo near the beach

We absolutely had an amazing stay here. It was clean and comfortable. And the beach was just a short walk. Liz was great to work with and so fast at communicating with us. Would totally recommend staying here! Thanks for letting us stay!

Great place and location!

Place was very clean and had everything we needed for our trip, even came with bunch of beach necessities such as cooler and chairs. Check in was very easy and the front desk people are helpful. This is a great spot to stay in Maui, you end up being very close to Wailea and are pretty much walking distance to everything in Kihei with bunch of beach options. Would definitely stay here again! Family fantastic place

Great communication with landlord, great property, great location to the beach, nothing but a fantastic experience. Traveled with wife and two teenage kids and could not be happier with our experience. Landlord was responsive with everything from fixing a bulb within hours to restaurant recommendations, and pre visit tips. The complex has a good sized pool with an adults and family hot tubs. Also nicely manicured lawns and grounds. The Kamaole Beach III across the street was wonderful and got some whale sightings from both lanai and beach. Kihei is also a wonderful little town with groceries, restaurants and coffee shops. The lanai is quite large with seating for five and a storage with all the beach items that could be needed including chairs, noodles, cooler.

This is our family fun condo in building 9, second floor. Perfect for young families as you can walk right to the pool or beach. Property even has outdoor showers to wash off sandy feet. We love staying here, watching movies, ordering pizza, going for walks to town, taking the bus, hanging out in Wailea. Just a great location for kids!
