Friendly people and convenient pool/beach access. We enjoyed viewing the stars at night and early morning walks to see turtles on the beach. Convenient location to explore the North Shore. Comfortable place with a nice kitchen. We plan on returning soon.
When we pulled up to the property it looks like it needs a lot of work. The person we met was very nice and helpful. The place was cute. No air conditioning in the bedroom so we slept on the Murphy bed where they had a wall unit air conditioner. View of ocean was beautiful, balcony was nice and spacious.
Overall we had a nice stay at this property. The unit was certainly not fancy, but was good for the price. We did enjoy the beach, which was uncrowded and a decent sized. We saw sea turtles every day. The balcony on this unit has a wall which limits the view from inside the property. You can only seeocean when you stand up.
The room was exactly as listed. The view from the lanai is stunning. Gorgeous sunrises. Walk right out to the water!
Quiet side of island was perfect for our stay.
This was a wonderful location close to Kualoa Ranch, and not too far from the north shore if you want to venture⊠depending on traffic. A huge perk is that itâs right on the water, at a very nice beach. It is an extremely affordable rate to be able to stay on the water. Seeing the sea turtles early in the morning was awesome. Great place!
Thank you! To walk out your sliding glass door and see ocean and walk out the front door and see mountain was just perfect. We comfortable slept with our 2 older teenagers and had plenty of space to relax as well. Sea Turtles every morning and evey night was the highlight of our stay. The private beach and security kept us very comfortable. The local food waa great as well
We loved our stay at this clean, spacious, ocean-view condo! The bed in the large bedroom is huge, and if you prefer to sleep listening to the waves (like me), there is a pull down bed in the front room! The owners were so nice and accommodating which was another plus.
We only got to stay 4/5 nights due to flight delays but we loved every minute of this place! Turtles every morning on the beach and swimming in the waves near us was the highlight of our trip!! The Mountain views are absolutely gorgeous. Loved the food trucks down the road as well.
We are not fancy people, and this place was perfect for us! Simple and laid back!
Paul was great to meet us and show us the place and help check us out!! When (not if) we come back, we will have to stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality! Mahalo
Loved waking up and seeing the oceanđ. Murphy bed was great to accommodate the 4 of us but no window coverings at all in the room led to super early mornings. Beach toys need to be replaced. No beach chairs but I left one I bought there and a couple blow ups. Overall I would stay again as such a great location and nice beach but would bring window coverings with 3M hooks if they don't get something there.
We enjoyed our stay in this condo unit, the view is spectacular and the unit was clean and well equipped. steps from a good snorkeling beach and short drives to beaches for boogie boarding. The area is calm and serene. Only issue was the construction that is being done on the exterior weekdays from 8:30 to about 4:00, and within a few months this should be away from this unit enough that it should not interfere. We would definitely consider staying here again, Mahalo.
We stayed a full week in unit 315. The unit was very clean and comfortable for us (2 people). Working with Paul, the unit manager was also great. We chose this area because we planned our excursions at the Polynesian Cultural Center, North shore, and Waimea Canyon. We spent just one day in Honolulu at the Arizona Memorial. We would consider staying here again if we were to revisit the NE shores of Oahu.
The property has a great location, and a good beach. The only draw back was the building is undergoing much needed outside renovations. The noise was not a problem but the pool was closed until 5pm during the week and we were not informed. It was the only negative and will be no problem by mid March. The unit was clean and everything except a kettle was in the kitchen. Would certainly stay again.
Property was as advertised. One exception is the LR TV didn't work. No problem, I decided to not be glued to a TV with the beach right off the property.
Paul the property manager was very nice and responsive. I ran in to him a number of times during the stay and he always greeted us.
I would recommend this condo and will use it again if we ever return to Oahu.
First impression of building ands parking lot was not good. Building is in disrepair from years of apparent non maintenance and natural salty environment. However, maintenance and repair was currently under way. Which, of course, generates construction noise during the day. The facility is dated and shows it. Our unit was fine and as represented in the listing. It advertised largest deck on the beach but has a 42" concrete railing wall that obstructs your view of thje ocean. So sitting on deck, you can't see the ocean over over the wall railing. There is a table and four plastic chairs on the deck but they are not meant for lounging. Tnere was only one beach chair available at this unit however their manager did provide us with two new beach chairs. He was very accommodating and pleasant. The beach is incredible !! Private and great for seeing turtles. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and woujld go back to this facility but in a unit higher in the building that has an open railing to the ocean.
Place was nice but needs some better cleaning between rentals
Refrigerator smelled like fish so bad, everything we put in it came out smelling. Ran out of garbage bags, coffee pot still had coffee in it from previous renters.
We had a lovely stay. The beach was beautiful, the yard out front facing the ocean was beautiful. The condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was fairly central on that side of the island so we were able to travel North and south of us and see a lot. The turtles that visited the beach were amazing to see! Swimming in the ocean right there was perfect! The only downside was the construction that was going on, it was right on the other side of our condo and because the weather wasnât great the week we were there we probably spent a bit more time at the condo than we would have if it was sunny and the noise was frustrating after a while. The pool was closed during the week because of the construction, which didnât affect us because we donât spend much time at the pool when the ocean is right there, but it may affect someone if they thought they would have access to the pool. All in all it was a fabulous stay and if we get back to Oahu we would stay here again, hopefully by then the construction would be complete.
Did not receive entry instructions, upon arrival had to contact VRBO to contact the host. Property manager came down to meet us, said the unit had been rented the day before, and was unavailable. In fact, he was wrong, though the apartment had not been cleaned, and was not cleaned until midway through the second day of our 3 day stay. .
The property is under construction, and in not very good shape. Think lipstick on a pig. Would not recommend this place, until all refurbishment is done. Not sure why they rented this place, other than a money grab. Very disappointed.
I feel like we should get a refund on at least a days rental, or at a minimum, the cleaning fee. Perhaps VRBO will consider this request.
It did not feel like we stayed in a hosted vacation rental; more like a furnished apartment.
There were listing anomalies. The pool was only open 5:00-8:00 pm and it was not heated (much colder than the ocean). We only saw one group use the pool during our 15 day stay. The grills needed charcoal/lighter that we would have needed to go buy, which was something that I wasnât interested in pursuing while on vacation. There were no beach chairs. There was toilet paper and paper towels (but we had to request more during our stay). There was a good assortment of pans/plates/bowls/utensils to cook with, but the kitchen lacked items to prepare a meal (no salt/pepper, cooking spray, foil, sugar, creamer, etc).
The cleanliness was lacking.
Our room was not ready when the property manager took us up to the room. It appeared to have been started; there were cleaning supplies on the floor, but the bed was not made and no towels. We waited for 1.5 hours, but no one came to finish. We had to contact the property manager to remind him of our unfinished place. A person did come soon after and spent 20 minutes to finish the cleaning, but it was hardly worth the pricey cleaning fee.
The entire complex was in some degree restoration giving off a depressed, haggard feeling. Seemed like it gave the owners an excuse to leave aspects of their place in need of some tlc (paint, patching, repair).
It was a centralized place to explore beautiful Oahu, but not very welcoming/restful.
We are both teachers who moved to the mainland and stayed to raise our family. Now we return to our 'HOME' on the beach twice a year or more to return to the slow pace of the country for rest and relaxation.
We completely remodeled the whole unit from bare walls to make it comfortable. Luckily our unit is on the third floor with a large patio on the beach and is the only floor that can install full unit sized air-conditioning. After living in the mainland my wife, the native Hawaiian needs to have air-conditioning. I always enjoy the tropical breezes that rush through the unit from the ocean, but she's the boss. Either way you will be very comfortable.
