Step outside your door and you are instantly between two parallel beaches, each just steps away on either side of you. Every accommodation includes private seating on both beaches, giving you your own space to relax, take in the views, and experience the water from sunrise to sunset. Enjoy long, quiet walks, beach combing, and wildlife sightings in total privacy. Build beach fires right in front of your cabin on either side (firewood included) and take in the ever-changing tides, sky, and light. Hiking is also a favorite guest activity, with scenic coastal routes and surrounding terrain to explore right from your doorstep.

Your private beach house offers a level of seclusion that is incredibly rare, while still providing the comforts you need. Fall asleep to the sound of waves and wake up to expansive water views in both directions. It is peaceful in a way most people have never experienced.

Relax in your private wood-fired hot tub overlooking the ocean. Guests can also sign up for private use of the sauna, located along with the art gallery just 200 feet down the beach. Inside the gallery, you’ll find a creative, inspiring space, with an espresso bar coming soon.

The water here is not just something to look at—it is something to explore. Included with your stay are stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, and access to boats, giving you the freedom to paddle the coastline in protected waters, explore nearby coves, or simply drift and take it all in. You can also head out to a private dock and try your hand at halibut fishing ( fishing gear included). For more independence, an 18-foot boat with a 20hp outboard is available for rent, perfect for your own fishing adventure.

Between Beaches is known for world-class tide pooling, especially during minus tides. When the ocean pulls back, it reveals an incredible hidden world filled with starfish, anemones, crabs, octopus, shells, and endless textures that captivate all ages. Be sure to check the tide tables!

We also offer access to commercially caught Alaskan fish, so you can grill fresh seafood right on site—simple, local, and unforgettable. You will need to bring your own groceries are we can recommend a cater.

Between Beaches is an exceptional setting for weddings, retreats, and gatherings. Our iconic whalebone arch, set against the ocean, creates a stunning backdrop for intimate ceremonies, family reunions, and meaningful events.

Getting here is part of the experience, it is a 30 min ride through protected waters. Between Beaches is accessed from Homer by boat, and our lodge vessel is available for transport across the bay for an additional fee. Leaving the harbor is where the adventure begins!

Guests can enhance their stay with unforgettable add-on experiences. Charter the private lodge boat to the lake glacier hike, guided bear viewing excursions, deep sea fishing charters, or a visit to the charming and historic village of Seldovia, where a land taxi is available to get you there.
